Rude, abrasive judgemental staff that don't properly explain the support they provide. Waited almost an hour to be seen. Made me feel guilty as hell for asking for help.

Chucked a small bag of goods my way, which is very kind of them. I explained that due to my disability I wouldn't be able to use a lot of what was given and that it would best given to someone else. At this point the very thin persona of friendliness and support (infinitesimally thin at that), immediately went away. Refused to sign post me to other services that could assist qs well.

I guess if you have nowhere else to go it is at least secure and well monitored so it's relatively safe in that regard.
If you are sign-posted to them by any organisation, I would request an alternative.

About The Cathedral Archer Project

The Cathedral Archer Project is a Sheffield-based charity that has been providing support to the homeless and vulnerable for over 25 years. The organization was founded in 1990 by a group of volunteers who were concerned about the growing number of people sleeping rough on the streets of Sheffield.

Since its inception, The Cathedral Archer Project has been committed to providing practical support and assistance to those in need. The organization operates from its premises at Sheffield Cathedral, where it provides a range of services including hot meals, showers, laundry facilities, clothing donations, and access to healthcare.

One of the key aims of The Cathedral Archer Project is to help individuals move away from homelessness and towards independent living. To achieve this goal, the charity offers a range of support services including housing advice and assistance with finding employment or training opportunities.

In addition to its core services, The Cathedral Archer Project also runs several outreach programs aimed at engaging with individuals who may be reluctant or unable to access traditional support services. These programs include street outreach teams who work directly with rough sleepers on the streets of Sheffield.

The charity relies heavily on donations from individuals and businesses in order to continue providing these vital services. Fundraising events are held throughout the year including sponsored walks, runs and other challenges.

The impact that The Cathedral Archer Project has had on the local community cannot be overstated. Over 1,000 people are supported by their services each year; many have gone on to secure permanent accommodation or employment as a result of their help.

If you're looking for ways to get involved with this fantastic organization there are plenty! You can donate money online via their website or attend one of their fundraising events throughout the year. Alternatively why not volunteer your time? There are always opportunities available for those looking for hands-on experience helping out at one of their centres or working alongside one of their outreach teams.

In conclusion,
The Cathedral Archer Project is an incredible charity that provides essential support for some of society's most vulnerable members. Their commitment towards helping people move away from homelessness towards independent living is truly inspiring; they offer practical solutions such as housing advice as well as emotional support through counselling sessions which makes them stand out among other charities.
Their dedication towards making sure everyone gets equal treatment regardless if they're homeless or not shows how much they care about humanity.
If you want your donation dollars going somewhere meaningful then consider supporting this amazing organisation today!
