"Flaming onion rings" had literally no spice. 3 of us tried, including a 12 year old and middle-aged woman. Not even a discernible after-burn. They were bright red though. Bit of a head-scratcher.

Been eating here for several years plus, alot of my family members have too. I was here bout 3 weeks ago and noticed prices on menu had gone up a few dollars, which I understand that. But the catfish fillets were much smaller than before. So just not making much sense for prices to rise and portion sizes got smaller. Very disappointed!

I must say my wife and I were very impressed with the service and the food. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The fish wasn't over cooked, and it came out hot, and in a timely manner. The sides were flavorful and plentiful. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area, and bring your appetite! You may want to bring those leftovers home with you. Also, shout out to Sabrina for the AWESOME service!

The absolute worst eating experience I have ever experienced here. Mine and my wife's food was over cooked. My 8 year olds food order wasn't correct. Waited 15 for it to be corrected when I finally had to go and find someone to address missing food as we could not find our server. Buchanan of high school girls seem to run the place and are more interested in looking cute and talking to one another than providing service to patrons. Have been eating here since it opened, never again. Service has been on decline for some time now and there appears to be no concern.

Good food and you won't leave hungry. If I could change one thing, it would be the batter they use to prepare the shrimp for frying. I liked the batter that they use to use. It was lighter and crispy.

Awesome restaurant. I suggest the all you can eat catfish for about $15 and comes with several sides fried okra, hush puppies, coleslaw and beans. There was no need for appetizers with this much food.

Come hungry! They have some of the thickest fish fillets I've ever had. The breading is excellent, the very light batter that fish is supposed to have. The family style white beans, Cole slaw, hush puppies, and fried okra brought out as appetizers is a meal all on its own. The best part is being able to eat til you're stuffed and remain a very affordable meal.

If you order the cat fish 2 or 3 pieces you are getting 1 piece cut in half about the size of your palm. Compared to other cat fish restaurants. Was very disappointed. You get plenty of vegetables. But for the price, your meat is the main thing your paying for in the past the portions were of accurate size. Won't be back unless they redo their portion size of catfish. The waitress was very nice and did a good job.

Placed our order, received the sides as usual. And we waited. And waited. For around 20-25 minutes. Two tables seated after us received their food and were eating. So, I asked the waitress. She informs me that they're working on the food for a table of 16 and ours will come after. (And I'm thinking..why do others who came later have their food?) So we wait a few minutes more. Then I've had enough. I go up to the register and ask to cancel the orders and pay for what we've eaten of the sides. The lady at the register can't find our order in the computer. At all. Then, they try to charge me $16 for the sides and drinks. For two people. I won't go back.

We have been eating at the Catfish House in Springfield for years. When the server arrives, they are carrying a bowl of fried okra for the table. While waiting for your order, they bring a large bowl of white beans, a plate of fried hush puppies, and two kinds of coleslaw for the table. They bring you a full meal BEFORE they bring your meal! In our case, the meal is almost always catfish. They have added a Cajun option which I think is better. The food is always good and the service is always friendly and prompt. This is one of the best places to eat in Springfield. The reason for only four stars is the place needs to be updated.

Great food at a reasonable price. The catfish was cooked well not over done or greasy. The fixin's are really all you need and keep on coming throughout the meal. I love the hush puppies and fried okra. The white beans are not overly seasoned and mine needed a little more salt to my taste. The steak was perfectly medium rare. Overall great experience. I would definitely recommend for a group or couple for a night out.
