The Caldwell House was beautiful, and the perfect place for a baby shower or wedding shower.

Loved the house! House keeper was so hospitable. From the champagne and chocolate in room and the wonderful breakfast we were well taken care of! Really enjoyed hearing about the history of the town and house!

We absolutely loved the Caldwell House! Caroline made our stay very enjoyable. Her hospitality and welcome went above and beyond. The house is beautiful and provided everything we needed for my son's wedding in Gueydan. Our family was able to be together for this special day while the groomsmen prepared. Tammy Vidrine

The house is beautiful.. The rooms are really nice...
Zero security .. Very dark at night.. The housekeeper partied all night.. Decided to cook and make all kinds of racket at 3am.. The following afternoon returned to house to find the porch littered with beer cans, liquor bottles, and cigarette butts.. We decided this was not the right place for my 71 yr old mother to stay.. If this was MANAGED at all this COULD be a fabulous place.. So sorry to have chosen The Caldwell House for my family ..

Surprised there's not much talk about this place, my mother and uncle got Chase out the Attic when they were kids by something...she's said that place used to be a place that had to do with doctor's. matter fact it was a doctor that Chase them out

Perfect location for a small wedding or weekend away. The staff is amazing and very attentive. They were able to accommodate our themed wedding while helping every step of the way to relieve the stress felt while planning then having a wedding.

Such a cosy place, a charismatic and wonderful spot to relax and enjoy Abbeville! Laurie was incredibly helpful and cooked a delicious breakfast, will certainly be passing along this recommendation to friends and family.
