The Art Gallery of Burlington exhibits a comprehensive offering of ceramics, handwoven art, paintings and sculpture in a lakeside location near the downtown core of the city. A terrific permanent collection is always nice to see in the courtyards and corridors along with new exhibitions throughout the year. Our children have participated in several art camps offered at March Break and during the summer. They remember one camp where they created their own movies and thoroughly enjoyed it. I especially remember my parental pride when the camps displayed participant's artwork in the entranceway! A fine venue for meetings and community gatherings can be arranged too. Be sure to visit the Gift Boutique for some very special items.

Small Art Gallery with nice garden centre. Collection is small and as I understand mostly represents local artists. During my visit paintings, ceramic art and some whimsical sculpture were on display. There is no entrance fees, Gallery relies on donations. The boutique is very nice, a lot of unique gifts can be found there. Overall, worth a visit.

I always have an excellent time at the Art Gallery of Burlington. This visit was to see the biennial fibre arts show. We also explored this large building, finding the lovely conservatory filled with tropical plants and spending too much time in the enormous gift shop. The fibre arts show was truly inspiring! What a great venue to showcase local artists.

Interesting place to visit. Great gallery collections and classes available in several fine arts and crafts. Staff is friendly, plenty of parking but get busy as this place is one lane away from waterfront.

I love love this place.. my daughter has been going to summer camp since she was in kindergarten. The instructors are so nice and warm and the person that runs this program is super organized and very approachable. My daughter Loves arts and they do really unique things in the camps for the March break they made things with clay which were very unique. They encourage kids to use their own creativity and explore which is fabulous . The way the program is run is really good too they go to different studios during the day so you know your child will never get bored of doing one thing. Everything is run on time and I have never ever had an issue. I m going to send my daughter here as long as I can and enrol her in some other art classes that they offer.. I also love all the people that work at the front and at the gift shop everybody is always smiling super friendly warm and extremely nice. I would give them a 10 out of 10 star if I could I highly recommend sending your kids here for summer camps winter camps and art classes.

Stopped in to see the artwork of a friend of ours. Denise McKay. Her journey through the past 30-40 years as an artist. Loved it. Also viewed work for black history month and visited the atrium. Nice to be reminded of spring during this "mud season". My wife (in the picture) is also an artist. Look her up on Facebook, Anna-Maria Hartley with Abstrakt Decor. Cheers.

A lovely gallery, the AGB is well worth seeing! It seems to have a big impact on the community also, with many guilds of local artists meeting there, and selling their pieces at times. Wonderful ceramic pieces on display, and an indoor solarium with exotic plants are among the highlights!

The Art Gallery of Burlington, established in 1978...

The Art Gallery of Burlington, established in 1978, is one of Canada's leading Contemporary Canadian Ceramics contemporary centers. It has a center of more than 40,000 square feet and houses more than 2,000 ceramic works of various sizes. Opposite the modern landmark building of Spencer's at the Water Front, it looks inconspicuous, but as soon as it enters the center, it admires the elegance and submergence of its submergence. The receptionist Jessica in front of the counter is kind to the residents of the town, and it is warm in the hazy weather; she takes us to "explore" one by one, ceramics, weaving, photography / darkroom, sculpture, wood carving ... The studios all have open spaces, and each turn of the corridor has an intrusive art display rack. When you are tired, you can bask in the atrium garden. In the winter, you can sit in the flower room, sip coffee, and smell the flowers and plants. And these "artistic visual feasts" are actually "free" and free of charge (we feel free to donate money between our feelings)! Compared with other large art centers, the tickets are more than ten dollars, some of which are the rustic simplicity of returning to the countryside, which makes people completely relaxed and free to carefully appreciate the various aesthetics brought by local artists using different art media.
Currently holding the "All Guilds Show Member Finished Product Exhibition", there are various art societies and workshops attached to the art center, including parquet, knitting, blanket weaving, crocheting, painting, decoration, embroidery, beadwork, photography, wood carving, handicrafts The Kaleidscope of the Arts, the so-called Kaleidoscope, is showing the members' spirit of pursuing art and improving the quality of life.
The town of Burlington is deeply artistic, and the city government also vigorously promotes artistic life. Retirees meet regularly. They learn skills and work as volunteers or lecturers in the chat room. On Sunday afternoon, they also provide a "family art workshop" for free. China Taoye Xinxin.
