P.S. This was satire aimed to mock the recent one-star reviews for Laurier so take this with a grain of salt. UW is a great university, and so is its neighbor university.

Too much concrete
No outdoor track

Lowest communication level and unprofessionalism I ever experienced in all universities I applied to in Canada and internationally especially from Julie Pocock and Andrew Tolmie in admission. Disgusting ! From not acknowledging receiving of documents to sending us wrong deadlines, ignoring phone calls and emails and very rude over the phone!!

Dropped in for a JV game Hamilton and Cambridge. Ti-cats kicked ass. Would be great if there was an area covered against the elements. For such an expansive facility I was surprised to see none

I've heard about U of Ws prestigious co-op programe where students have the opportunity to pursue several 6 month internships. I highly endorse this. The campus itself is beautiful, because of the lush greenery and vast openness. It would be beneficial if there was a lake or seaside view.

I've been here for only one year and cant explain how remarkable my experience has been. New friends that are now family. Incredible teachers. Overall great learning and life experience.

Top notch inclusive University at the forefront of science education and research with wide open doors for community participation, education and outreach. Public events / seminars give the opportunity to stay up to date with latest research in quantum physics, nanotechnology, computer science, math, biology, engineering, etc. The student coop program facilities getting insights into real life economy experiences.

Best University.. my sister stufy. I am not but wish they guve me scholarship.. and then i study here

I was first a student and now a staff, but I have always enjoyed my time at UW. This institution is world renowned for it's beautiful campus (aggressive geese aside), it's updated and modern facilities, fantastic faculty, and all around pleasant student population. Boasting as a STEM school, UW has a multitude of quality programs available from engineering, mathematics, science, environment, and the arts - all of which are top notch. I'm not just saying this because they pay my rent, the University of Waterloo is a first class post secondary institution. Now where's my bonus? ;)

Great place to stay. However, there is not much to do there.....

One of the best physics undergraduate programs in the country. Well regarded for science and mathematics.

This school ripped out my soul and murdered it. Now all that's left inside me is memes and Mr. Panino.

They also have a really nice co-op program.

People often say they don't like how the campus looks, but in the summer time especially, it's not too bad. Watch out for geese though. That part's true.

This is literally where dreams come to die. Professors don't care and everyone is miserable.

My son is a intern student at university of Waterloo

I have just finished my first year at the University and it has been a great experience. UW's co-operative program is amazing and the university is world renowned for its Mathematics Faculty. Forever a Waterloo Warrior!!

Great university but the environment is dangerous. I felt safer in the streets of Detroit than walking through the geese infested campus. I was once brutally attacked by an entire gang of geese who took my belongings and my dignity. Overall, I had a blast here for the tour but they waitlisted me and I didn't end up coming to this university.

Hands down best Middle Eastern food you'll have in North America, no boost.

Went there to obtain OSAP OAN number and temporary password. Waiting area was nice and clean, wait time was short, and the lady at the desk was nice and helpful.

Just to summarize experience over here: Plenty of bills and lousy marks that what you will end up with. I suggest if you are from some other city; just stay local and don't be a burden to your family.

St Jerome s has the worst food. Do not stay at this residence if you want a tasty and nutritious meal.

While somewhat lacking in rendered textures, the extent of interaction available with NPCs in the scene is astounding, and greatly enjoyable. Even the goose NPCs did not break my immersion. 8/8 no h8

Best coop program and engineering program in all of Canada

Being a member of the U15, the group of research-intensive universities in Canada, WU is quite famous for its co-operative education programs that allows students combine their learning with relevant work experiences. A lot of students like this option as it provides them with great job opportunities that help them secure desirable jobs/professions upon graduation.
The university keeps scoring and holding honorable position among many schools on the global level. The competitive culture within the school, in addition to great and well-designed programs, like the computer engineering, make Waterloo a great place to study. Innovation, entrepreneurship, and the great quality of learning make this university one of the top schools in the country. Finally, being in the heart of Waterloo is a great advantage as this city is not a crazy metropolitan, yet you're only one hour away of that craziness if you like to enjoy it every now and then!
There's a room for improvement in areas like the design of some classrooms that have no windows (Math Bldg), the Athletic Complex, and the stress issue that many students keep reporting.

Absolutely the worst university to get into in Canada for admission. How the hell do you have to get 98% for Computer Science? Why would you reject students that are 90s marks students? Completely illogical, unethical, pathetic.

Graduated from UW 15 years ago and moved to California. Visited the campus today again bring back good memories at UW. I'm proud to be a UW alumni.

A great research and innovative university which offers a wide range of courses. Had a great exchange experience at UoW.

Don't go to this University for biological science. Engineering programs are gold and the co-op program is one of the best.

I owe my entire professional career to my 5 years at Waterloo and the co-op program! Definite 5 star institution!

Best School in Canada simply because it is a massive community with a mixture of various races, cultures, creeds, and religions. At Waterloo if you are different, that is good that means you made enemies and stood UP for something. Ideas start here. #AHS #Aussies #TherapeuticRecretionMajor

Honestly my worst ramen experience in my life. I ordered a black tonkotsu ramen. When I got it, the broth was cold, the noodles stiff, and worst of all, the restaurant didn't serve sake I could use to forget the terrible service. The tempura had zero crunch and I am convinced the chef has never eaten a single tempura in all their years of existence. Would never recommend.

One of the top 5 best places to become one of the greatest engineers. Above 90 grade required.

It is a great school to attend, as long as you don't value your mental health and social life.

Location sucks. Some profs are decent, but it's luck of the draw, and playing the course swapping game.
Feeds are ridiculous, typical for this kind of education nowadays however.

Spicy chicken school engages student mentality! Many professors have poor class quality, and exams are difficult! Don't come to this university for class!

If you're looking for community and school spirit, this place probably isn't for you. If you're looking for academic excellence and state-of-the-art research (unless you're in a few specific STEM fields), this place isn't really for you. If you're looking for a place to complete your degree so you can get a job and you don't care about academia, this place is what you want.

The campus is so beautiful! It was my first visit after my son made it, that made it doubly nice. I love the atmosphere. Intense and chilled. Many great food places. I will coming here every week, for the next little while. Hard to picture that.

Great place for higher learning leading edge quantum research but check on Covid Shut down factors

Honestly did not like it. I am an undergraduate in Engineering. Trust me in this school if you don't do coding it's a waste of time. Everybody judges each other by how much they make in their coop, if you are not in a coding job, the best you can get is in the mid of 20 dollars per hour. Then you are pitied by people who work in Cali. I have to say most of my fellow classmates are really cocky but I understand they are smart enough to do it. Doing coop is a constant struggle, four month work then four month school, I move around up to ten times in four years and I can say I am really tired of it. Anyway hopefully I can get a job after graduation in this economy and be able to afford renting a place with my own washroom, otherwise I have no idea why I attend this university. Had no life in these five years, which should be the best part of my whole life. So if I get a time machine to go back to the past, no I am not choosing it again.

What I liked about this university is academics are excellent. The profs are amazing. The students a little racist sometimes but I'm use to it.
