You can't go to the castle without doing this. Sometimes the que is long it looks high, but later on you will be glad you did it and have the photo to prove it. And bragging rights for ever.

I went during down season and there was no wait for the stone and the scenery was amazing with snow covering everything. You cannot travel to Ireland and not visit Blarney!
It's not what I expected, but you see the inside of the castle on your way up so it's a one stop shop.
Lots of things to do and see. Signs everywhere so you don t get lost. Blarney Stone is the main attraction of course, but my favorite was the Poison Garden. Fall there is spectacular!
Fab experience and kissed the Blaney Stone. Gardens amazing.. Even in spring
Blarney Castle is amazing! From the castle to the gardens this is a must see.
Scary, very high. Only a thin person can climb the stairs, it is better not to climb with a weight of more than 100 kg. A narrow ladder, there is a queue on the stairs. I don't recommend it for people with claustrophobia.
Great castle and history and fun kissing the blarney stone
The castle was cool, but have you seen the gardens and woodland trails?! I could spend all day wandering through all the different paths and gardens. Magical.
Absolutely gorgeous. They have out so much work into the grounds and surrounding areas. Blarney is a sweet little village too
Very expensive since last time I went 10year ago but we'll worth the experience..
Absolutely stunning location. The line for the castle and the stone were one combined line which was a little disappointing since we just wanted to look at the castle. But the surrounding area was just gorgeous
It's a tough climb to the top but the grounds around it are beautiful
Nice garden and castle to spend day out with family.
We waited 1 hour 10 minutes to kiss the stone. It was worth it to me. The castle stairs are very steep and narrow. If you ask the guy holding on to You so you don't fall when leaning backwards to spray the rock with what looked like an antiseptic mouth wash, he will! Glad I did it once in my lifetime!
The gardens and grounds are amazing as was the castle itself
Kissing the stone is an interesting experience. Go early to avoid long lines.
18 is a lot per person for this .Lots more other things to do around cork that are better .
Big line to get to the stone. Wife and I had no interest in kissing the stone, just wanted to check out the views and had to wait in the same line as the people wanting to kiss the stone. They should have 2 separate lines, one to kiss the stone and one to just see the castle. You know the line to just see the castle would be very short so the limit of people inside as one time would be not much more than it is now. In the end we skipped seeing the view because the wait was over an hour. Meh.
Long wait and climb to the top to kiss the stone but we'll worth the visit, beautiful gardens
Cool place. You need min half if day to see everything
You have to live at least once that moment when you lean back into the void (obviously held by a person who watches over your safety) to embrace this stone of eloquence! Without wordplay, you stay "speechless" :)
A run of the mill tower with a silly made-up stone story for tourists. The gardens are very nice thought.
Line was too long (2 hours) so we didn't get to see the stone.
This castle and grounds are so incredible. The castle is in excellent shape, but has unfortunately been defaced in many places by infamous individuals who must have brought chisels with them. The stone is up high through a narrow spiral staircase. Those with fears of heights or confined spaces beware!
Beautiful grounds with spectacular and super interesting gardens. Very mysterious. Well planned. Castle very interesting but the queue to the top of the castle (where the Blarney Stone is) is far too long...can be well over an hour and a half. If you just want to see inside the castle and not kiss the stone, you still have to queue up together with the stone kissers. Way too long!
The gardens are the highlight of Blarney Castle.
The Blarney Stone is very popular. Virtually everyone kissed the stone despite the precarious way you had to kiss it.
It was nice. But are tour was a bit to long for this sight. But I enjoyed myself.
Not for anyone that has issues with heights. A little chaotic (there's usually a line so they rush you a bit), and you need to be mobile/agile enough to get on your back and bend backwards over a ledge. Do it for the story and the most awkward picture of yourself you'll ever take.
Way more than we were expecting, beautiful grounds and castle. Kissing the Blarney some was odd, but makes for a great story and picture.
Wonderful grounds and stunning views from the Castle
Great place ge remendious history!!
Staff very friendly
Beautiful well preserved Castle. Gardens are amazing.
Beautiful gardens and totally worth the walk to the top of the Castle to kiss the Blarney 4
The house of the Blarney Castle is really stunning! I recommend it to visit
Definately something I have wanted to do all my life, bucket list checked. It is scary playing backwards to kiss a stone that is at the top side of a castle. Views are amazing. Beautiful yard around it. I didn't get to see the flower garden since we arrived late but was told it is gorgeous!!! Also can anyone tell me what the rock structure with the hole in the middle of it is for? I think I know but not sure. Thanks and the long stick looking sculpture was really kool no idea if it had a purpose or was just a sculpture!? Enjoy
Nice caatle and garden with small djungle and water fall. But too much tourists who are there to kiss the stone.
Enjoy the day !
The gardens , walks , and art are beautiful.
Micro climates and wide expanses.
Great signage detailing points of interest.
The stone is at the top of the castle, and you have to hang backwards and lean back pretty far to actually kiss it, but they have guys there to help and I saw a cleaning bottle so I would guess they do clean it. Went at the beginning of January and the castle was nearly empty, so we could wander around and check it out and no line to kiss it. Friends went in summer and had to line up for 1.5 hours, the line slowly moves through the castle so you see it as your lined up but meh. Entrance is 18 but you can get it for 2 cheaper if you book it online prior at least an hour before arrival. The gardens and grounds are beautiful to explore, make sure you leave time for that.
Such a great place for any one if you get the weather you will spend the day with such beautiful gardens and the castle
Fabulous experience for one or the family. Great gardens and attractions.
The walk up to the blarney stone is amazing. It is a bit scary as it's up a few winding stone staircases that are very narrow and a bit steep. We had about a 30 minute wait to kiss the stone but the walk through the castle is amazing and it didn't feel that long. Kissing the stone itself you hang over a gap and a person helps to make sure you don't fall. It was exhilarating. I thought this place would be kitschy and it was the furthest thing from it. The grounds are spectacularly beautiful and I wanted to explore all day!
Wonderful castle to explore. Leave yourself enough time to wander the gardens for hours.
Visited in May 2018. Drove in from Dublin. The line moved quickly. Beautiful scenery.
I kissed it!! it was a bit scary but it was worth it
Tourist trap. Paying for the photos of yourself kissing the stone are way too expensive. The views from the top of the castle are impressive. Climbing to the stone is a bit claustrophobic.
Awesome castle, but be warned it's a climb to the top.
Long wait to stone, grounds are good and well signposted.
Much nicer and more developed than expected. It's easy to spend a few hours here walking the grounds. Our visit in October was perfect! No lines and no rain. What could be better when visiting the sites in Ireland?
Its alot higher than I imagined but well worth the visit.
The trip to the place is the strong point that makes it worth the distance through great well-signposted roads, easy access ample parking and close to the ticket office, the ticket or ticket is a bit salty $ 15 to $ 20 Euros but worth the Worth it, usually filled with queue for access to the castle and up steep and narrow stairs but worth the effort, the surrounding area is magnificent and magical, very well preserved and clean, has a restaurant and snack bar with reasonable prices and variety of food in case you want to take your snack because it has several tables and benches under the wonderful trees, clean bathrooms too.
Excellent stone that would kiss and get an unforgettable photo)
You have to treat yourself to this castle and kiss the Blarney Stone.
The stone itself is.. meh but the castle gardens, now that is really something.
A lot of internet posts say it s not worth it. This site does cost more 18 euro per person, but it was one of the tallest castles you are able to walk up(1 hour) without saying at the ashford or other hotels.y mother kissed the Blarney Stone and that was priceless because you hang upside down and the helper pulling her down. (I didn t make it)
