Went to the Family Improv with our clan. Could not recommend it more. Everyone from our 3 year old to our 11 year old was in tears (including the parents). Great family night experience.

Ok. It's a tiny basement theatre. There's an entrance that is a bit scary around d the back.

Don't panic. It's gonna be fine. Enter, take your seat, and leave your expectations at the door. You're in for something different.

There's a lot of comedic bat swinging. A lot. 45% of the time it connects. 15% of the time it connects well. Sit through the exposition and be patient you you will enjoy yourself.

Fun place! It's a very small, intimate venue with minimal seating, but that allows the place a unique aesthetic. The actors and bartenders are very kind, and it was overall a pleasant experience.

Went to the earlier (pg-rated) show. Meant the team couldn't swear in front of the kids or address the existence of Santa. I wasn't falling in the floor, peeing my pants, but the restrictions the team had to deal with made the show funnier, and pushed the creativity. I'd not be able to think as quickly, and I'd look like a drooling idiot in that jail scene. Will return.

I was here on a Thursday night. They were doing improv. This was the most fun I have had in a long time. The drinks were very affordable and the entertainment was unpredictable. A great way to mix up your typical guys/girls night out. Adults only though, and it gets loud. Definitely worth a look.

After you had been there a time or two... they remember you and even your name. I love the fact that these are shows for most who are in training to be comedians or improv. JStarr kept it flowing and fun throughout the entire show. They have something for everyone from 8 to 88. Highly recommend you giving this small local venue a shot.

We had a great time here! We laughed the entire show. They interact with the audience which makes it even funnier. They have a snack and drink bar (including alcohol). We can't wait to go back!

We just moved to the area and are quite happy we've found The Basement Theater. We don't care for the raunchy variety of comedy, so it's super nice they offer a more family-friendly option (I surmise their adult show must be quite "adult" given the baseline comparison).
Staff was very kind and upbeat. The venue itself is smaller, but in a way it added to the familial vibe. We had a bit of a hard time finding it, so be sure to not be worried that you are literally walking into a tucked away basement. It'll be worth it!

I have been to three of their shows and loved each one. Anytime I have people come from out of town I recommend this place. They are all hilarious and very nice. The alcohol is cheap but strong so be careful!

Fun!!

By far one of the best improv shows I've seen so far. These improv artists do their job very well. Impressed by everything they offered. Will definitely recommend this place if anyone is into improv.

One of the best places in Atlanta to see an improv comedy show. Small, unique theatre, stadium seating and you are up close and personal to the performers. Not a bad seat in the place. They have g rated up to r rated shows plus they have some great improv classes very reasonably priced. Go see a show, take a beginner improv class or both, you won't be disappointed.

Really enjoyable place to go hear some very good comics who work off what the audience says. Very reasonable too. My only complaint would be it is a very tight space and they put as many chairs in there as possible.
