I was a little nervous about getting a haircut here, but I couldn't afford to go to a regular salon so I took a chance. Ended up having a great experience! Kayleen did my cut and was very talented, professional and personable. I got exactly what I asked for, as well as some good styling advice and product recommendations. It takes a little bit longer than a haircut at a normal salon, but it was well worth it. Very happy customer.
The only reason this is not getting five stars is because I had a semi-poor experience my first time here. Basically miscommunication led to me not getting what I wanted at all.
However when I called back to ask if I could get my hair fixed they offered a discount and were 100% willing to work with me on my schedule. I want to give a huge shout out to my girl Magnela

UPDATE: They were just going to shoo me out the door, but I kept mentioning how this made me feel to keep having this happen every time I try to make a hair appointment. The manager then offered to go to another Aveda location to borrow some of their supplies. I agreed to this, and ended up getting the services I needed. Jazlyn was my student stylist, and she was awesome!!!
The last several times I've booked an appointment for haircare for my type 4 hair, they haven't had the right products they have always had in the past. Usually, they give me the courtesy of calling me before my appointment to let me know it's cancelled due to "being out" (yet again) of what I need. Today is my birthday and I have a dinner reservation to celebrate, so I drive all the way here for haircare only to be told they are again "out" of what my hair needs. I made this appointment weeks ago, so there is no excuse for this. Apparently, only "good" hair is valued and prioritized at this Aveda.
Help a student gain more experience at the Aveda Institute! You can grow out a cut or color if you're not satisfied, but the chemistry of color is something that must be practiced over and over again. I've always been pleased with the results and happy knowing that I helped someone further their education! Please tip these kids generously--this school is expensive and many drive in each day from other cities. I highly recommend you give it a try!
They need more cashiers and people to check clients in, but otherwise I loved the service. Did not seem rushed and no pressure to buy extra items. My student was kind and gentle and had a relaxing touch for my facial.

I scheduled a 90 minute facial. My esthetician in training was Lily Cucco. I received EXCELLENT service. Lily knew the products and her touch was confident and calming at the same time. I was totally relaxed by the end and zoned out. My skin is glowing!! Take advantage of her being at the institute because you won t get her at this price for long. I m booking my next appointment now.
Got a deep condition and a facial while I waited for my partner to finish getting a perm. Very professional and nice at really reasonable prices. Students are overseen all the time and the student who did my facial was extremely careful with my sensitive skin.

I've loved every haircut I've gotten here, and I still won't ever come back. They don't value your time at all. Twice now my appointment has been cancelled upon arrival after I've driven across town to be there. This most recent time, the receptionist was incredibly rude and acted like I was an inconvenience on her for showing up to my appointment and lied about their attempts to reschedule with me. When I told her I wasn't available next weekend after she told me that she would just push my appointment to then, she just stared at me until I left. There are plenty of other places to get a decent haircut that don't act like this, and the hair coloring was never that good.
