My son was booked on 10/19 by this company and its owner (Sarah East) to perform in a zoom meeting where the footage would later be used for an educational video. My son performed as requested, and was never compensated for his time/work. Despite many attempts to contact Ms. East regarding this matter, I have yet to hear anything from her, or anyone else that works for this organization. I would not want to work with a business that has zero qualms about essentially stealing from an 11-year-old child. I hope you (the reader) also does not want to support a business that would do something as unscrupulous as this. If I could have put zero stars, I would have. What a terrible message Sarah East is sending to young performers.
I really enjoy the work I put in here. It focuses my life and my work, gives me a creative spark. If your goal is to improve your acting skills in a caring and thoughtful environment, you will see the value of The Audition Room.
I LOVE The Audition Room. Sarah has a great concept. I have taken a couple different classes from her and use Sarah and The Audition Room for auditions as well. It's a great way to get a professional result because of Sarah's coaching and the ability to take your time (or several takes) versus a sometimes crowded line for an agency's audition facility. I highly recommend.
Sarah East runs a professional, top notch studio. Her experience is genuine and her ability to work with actors of all ages is immediately apparent. She coaches and directs using empathy and experience and produces a professional package. Classes and workshops are offered here as well for various aspects of acting.
My 8 year old daughter is currently attending a 4 week workshop and loves it. This is a 2 hour drive in each direction for us, but I've seen over the last 3 weeks that it has been worth it. She has created her own original character and is looking forward to it be filmed during week 4. She loves the super friendly acting coaches, the studio is ultra clean, face mask are worn, and all around I feel my kid is safe and learning. Oh, the excitement on her face at the end of each class is an added bonus!
