There are few places to see during the renovation, but the public hall with stained glass and art objects are .
Anyone can play the outdoor paint piano, and the piano sounds in the premises and the atmosphere is good.
Even if you move to a different location, you can continue parking without any additional charges because the balance of the parking fee is shared even if you move to a different location. I was shocked by this.

Despite the fact that many of the galleries were not open to the public the buildings' architecture is still worth being looked at,The buildings have undergone restoration since the earthquake & are gradually been reopened to the public. A wonderful space for everyone. The shops have a good range of excellent quality gifts and NZ Made products.

Saw the art centre for the first time since it was fixed up, it was really beautiful and really well done up. The buildings had cafes and exhibits and some nice craft themed shops. We enjoyed looking around the ancient Greek exhibition, it was a creative, informative and interesting display of pots and artifacts.

A great space in the heart of Christchurch. Formerly Univercity of Canturbury and now part of the city's arts scene. Great architecure now being lovingly restored after having been damaged in the earthquakes.

I really enjoy the arts centre. Have been to the last couple of evening markets and on both occasions the food and stalls were very good. Looking forward to some spring summer events being run here. Also love that Absolution is now based in the arts centre!

Loved it. Awesome layout, funky stores, beautiful old building. Would be a 5 but accessibility wise there were only stairs (i know, old building) and the gallery was empty of exhibitions (although the signs were still there implying the last one was still there). Still cool. Market outside was super awesome, would definitely recommend that

#nzmustdo Saved and still being preserved after Christchurch earthquakes. Amazing architecture. Great for photos and events. We went to an event at the great hall and it was beautiful. Fantastic to dance and enjoy whisky at a Stramash. Been to venue before earthquakes and thrilled to return.
