Merrimack is awful. Cancelled my policy claiming I'm not living in the home because we had contractors at the house doing work. Myself and wife were both home when the dude came unnanounced to take pictures! My wife even spoke to the guy
Andover is our homeowners insurance and we have had a great experience with this company. We had our sewer line break (older home) and Andover partners with Harper Steam Boiler to help us out. Within 4 days of us reporting the incident to our insurance company, they sent us a reimbursement check. They also allowed us to use a company of our choice to do the repair. Very happy with how quickly they processed our claim. I wish they covered the preventative for the future but so glad at least the repair was covered!
Most of the time people don't write about the good experiences they have with companies. I want to give a 5 star review to Merimack because I had accidentally allowed my policy to expire because of an oversight in payment from my end. They took my payment over the phone and re-instated the policy immediately. Great experience.
Simply the worst if I didn t have an open claim I would leave them now. If you want to deal with a bunch of different people most of whom don t even work there, be treated rudely and be on their timeline for everything that needs to be done. Then use Merrimack mutual. Not a single thing is easy. Pray you don t have a loss. When this nightmare is over I m firing them and my agent for suggesting them.
Representative didn't mask their annoyance while helping me with online access. Made me feel guilty about asking for help on how to give them my money.
