Thacher Winery is one of our favorite places to visit and has some of the most wonderful people and interesting wines out there. Tony, the GM is very knowledgeable and if you re lucky you might get to meet Sherman, the man behind the whole process. Oh, make sure you say hi to the goats and chickens!

On Monday we were able to enjoy a picnic and wine tasing while social distancing under these challenging times. Being able to make an appointment. Having our own table outside and separated from others gave our small family unit a chance to feel normal again. We brought our own food and glasses. Our wine enthusiast was masked and made sure to stay an appropriate distance away. We were able to get all our questions answered about the wine and revisited the ones we were most interested in. The wine was excellent and we purchased a number of bottles. Thank you Thacher for making this a very special experience.

Hands down the best vineyard and tasting in Paso. Chris was the nicest and most accommodating host and their wines are so incredibly unique. I highly, HIGHLY recommend their validigue (sp?). I knew very little about wines at the time and, after trying this, have found my new favorite.
While Justin is fine wine, save yourself a few months and anchor here. It's absolutely worth it.

We visited Thacher on July 25th. I had no problem making online reservations for tasting. Thacher has many areas setup outside for social distancing where you can sit and relax. They bring the wines to you to taste, ask questions and order. it was such a lovely day and the service was great. Thank you for the enjoyable time!
Very special place. Wine, location and staff all work together to make this a wonderful destination. Rhone style wines. Award winning Zinfandel. Also, get tickets for their Winemaker Barn Dinner, you'll be glad you did.
Thatcher Winery is one of the very best wineries in the entire Paso area. Great wines, great people and beautiful surroundings combine to give you a fantastic tasting experience. Once you visit them, you will want to visit them every time you are in Paso.
My families first pandemic trip. Stopped by thatcher for a tasting. Was we'll set up, spaced out. Friendly and helpful staff. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Kids got to play with the farm animals, and roam the property. Wine is excellent! Chris our server was very nice. Will be back again and again. Like most wineries in Paso bring your own food.
Had a wonderful time at Thacher! Chris took excellent care of us, was very knowledgeable about the wines, and made great conversation. All within a gorgeous, peaceful setting. Cannot wait to go back again soon!
My favorite tasting of our recent Paso trip! Many excellent wines, a pleasant, vineyard view, lush green grass to nestle your feet into and a knowledgeable, friendly, and super chill server all made this a lovely afternoon. Don't miss their distinctive Nebbiolo.
Thatcher Winery is at an old quarter horse ranch. My husband and I enjoyed a lovely tasting at an outside table. Our server, Chris, was friendly and knowledgeable. We liked all of the wines served. Good social distancing. Facial coverings worn by staff.

We went to Thacher this past weekend. The wine and the service were fine, but there are better places to spend your time and money. Be warned; the reservation fee we paid online was not applied to our tasting fees. We were told it would only be applied if we purchased wine which felt a little disingenuous.
Great setting, plenty of shade, and very knowledgeable host who gave informative facts about their wine and the region itself. We will be back!

We ve been members for years and love tasting here! Beautiful and relaxing property plus tons of wines we really enjoy - Controlled Chaos, triumvirate zin, Chenin Blanc, cinsault rose and others. Also very educational as the winemaker is always trying new grapes and new blends. Cheers!
What an amazing wine. Forget the commercial Vinyards, this place knows what they are doing. In being in the industry for 20 years, been to Napa, Sonoma, Temecula, but this is by far the best wine in California hands down. A true hidden gem.

Beautiful property. We enjoyed the more natural aspect of their wine making process (minimal additives). Was a pleasant surprise to also greet the goat on the property!
Thacher is a beautiful winery off the beaten path and makes really wonderful wines. We are club members and get out there whenever we are in the area.
This last time, Anna had recognized us and took us on a behind the scenes tour which was spontaneous and fun. The fact that she recognized us and remembered our names was really cool and gives Thacher that unique and personal touch.

This last trip wasn't the first time we've been to the venue and certainly won't be the last. Thacher staff has been able to pivot to outdoors and spaced successfully without loosing the attention to the patrons.
