No one will probably even see this review but I just had to let everyone know these guys saved my life. I went in with covid-19 without being able to breathe and now I'm home to my family getting better one day at a time. I don't remember names to put down but you know who you all are. Thank you!

I was hospitalized 8/22 from Coronavirus, my experience at this hospital was horrible. I thought Tampa General was a nice hospital because how it sits on the water. I had never stayed here before, they never came in and cleaned my room. The floors where very nasty and the Nurses are very young with No experience. I had a Nurse was 22 yrs old had to advising him to take my stool & pee out of the room. He wanted to leave it in a bag in my room. I was taking the water throwing it on the ground cleaning it with towels. The food was cold by the way the nursew passed out.
I felt like this was a movie and I was a prisoners! Also none of the equipment works. I would call the nurses on the res button they never responded. I literally was without Oxgen fir 30 minutes because they did not respond to my call.

I called the news people to inform them how Coronavirus patients are being treated!

I worked in the security department for almost 2 years. They made the job there seem it was the best career choice and an honor to work in such a place; it was a nightmare!!! You would be reprimanded for doing you're job, the supervisors did not care about anyone but themselves, the wrong people were getting promoted, personally saw nurses and staff treat patients like hell, and so forth. The negative comments are not far off from what really happens. Oh, and the nurses do not care about your well being at all. They will most certainly talk about you once they leave the room and security (then) were more then eager to throw you around once they had a chance. I did consider staying but once I saw how shady it was, I left for a more profitable career with real benefits, grow potential, and a future. If you are considering the security department for this company, just do yourself a favor and don't bother. Save yourself the trouble, it will not be worth the time. Just look at the staff on a visit and ask yourself if they are happy.

Waited 10 hours to be seen. The waiting room and patient rooms are dirty and unsanitary.

Let me just say, the hospitals aren t packed because of COVID. They re packed with homeless people who are trying to find a place to sleep and charge their phones. Several homeless people were kicked out of the ER by security before ever being seen but 75% of the people in the waiting room were clearly homeless, carrying everything they own. I don t think I have to describe the smell.

I will never go to this ER again. Scheduled procedures, maybe. But avoid the ER.

Maura , Alechia , and Jann from the 3rd floor orthopedic floor took exceptionally compassionate care of my 95 year old mother following hip replacement surgery. My hats off to all the healthcare providers who work so hard during the COVID era to take care of our love ones .

This hospital should be investigated, this is one place nobody should go or end up. I was treated here for covid and it was the worst experience in my life, prison would have been better. From not getting food for 3 days never being able to speak to a doctor but yet get charged for it. Just to give an example in 13 I meet 74 new people yes 74 new people in 13 days never once did I see the say nurse or person. I was freezing cold would take 3 hours sometimes just to get a blanket. In this little paragraph I can't go through my complete experience, but I've hired an attorney and I've decided to sue them I don't want the money I just need them to figure out how to get the place in order and running correctly. If anyone has had a similar experience please contact me this place deserves a class action lawsuit.

TGH is the best trauma hospital in Tampa. They are providing top notch care for my dad right now. Only 1 visitor allowed during visiting hours due to COVID-19. Must wear a mask while visiting. Fairly efficient check in/check out procedures.

I d give ZERO if I could and hire a lawyer! Stay away! I went to ER with abdominal pain, trouble eating, swallowing, neck pain and feeling really sick. The ER experience was horrific going from one waiting area to another sick people everywhere! No monitoring! For hours! After hours in ER I was supposedly admitted and put on bed in hallway for some time I was then moved to ER holding unit waiting a room. I never got a room but stayed in holding unit for 4 days (see pix)! I had a cubicle and nothing more but a bed and a curtain to stare at! Floor covered in debris. It was a living hell on earth! The only 2 bathroom were despicable ! Filthiest bathrooms I ve ever been in! Sink drain clogged. Filthy toilets, floor etc. Here I was to wash, brush teeth etc! ( see pix) . Told nurses to no avail!!. Housekeeping never came to clear whole area unit! Partially 4th day! God only knows what bacteria and germs I got from 2 bathrooms. They had several giant air clearing machines attached to duct work blowing smelly musty air to breath! Supposedly to filter Covid germs per nurse! I d cover my head with blanket so I didn t breath it! ( so nasty)! Florescent lights over whole area not by cubical which would get turned on and off through night! Asked nurse for a Case Manager. No one came! OH! And I was in my street clothes for 4 days!! NO hospital gown etc! The nurses were offsite staffing very rude often talking and laughing amongst them selves vs pt care. Many were rude and disrespectful ! In four days I never saw the same nurse therefore they not knowing my care! Food was horrible delayed for hours! Nurses told me this was a temporary Covid unit used for other patient waiting rooms ! I was the only one there 4 days that I know of! I left in worse shape then when I came! Same symptoms only worse! The meds they gave me made me very sick and dizzy! I was released to drive home alone! This is a top rated hospital By God this experience was horrific! Never will I return for anything! Again STAY AWAY! If you value your life! (Week of 9/13/21)

One of my employees was injured and I took him to Tampa General. They gave him very compassionate and intelligent treatment. He recovered very quickly and his own doctor who performed the follow-up was very impressed.

TGH is not what it used to be. This is not the place for you to go if u need immediate care. To have a pregnant woman screaming in pain for more than six hours without care, its unacceptable. I understand everyone is exhausted, COVID-19 patients are filling every room but, there are other patients that have emergencies too. Dont go here with an emergency, please go somewhere else where you can get better health care.
