Our party of 4 never received bread. We ordered sampler platter appetizer, which was good. Entrees came out way too close to salads. Just after entrees served, we were asked about dessert. The restaurant had plenty of available empty tables, thus no need to rush us out. Our server then assigned to another table, so we had a different server to finalize things. That did not go well; when asked to change a $20 bill into smaller denominations, they opted to apply the $20 to the bill. Overall the food quality was as hoped we would experience. The restaurant was clean. The service was definitely substandard. We are visiting Austin from FL; it is unlikely we will be back.

I was so stuffed. It has a nice feel to it. I see why this place has a lot of great reviews.

Disappointed Google won't let me leave a 0 star review. I placed a pick up order for lunch today and when I picked up the food my order had a 20% "Service Charge" added to the bottom. The manager informed me it was for picking up the food. Is this guy serious? He then back tracked quickly to correct the transaction and give me a credit once he was called out. I was then told that any customer can request the service charge be removed if they're not happy. Was the guy thinking I was not going to notice an extra $20 charged to my bill? Is everyone being charged erroneously at this location? Shameful and not transparent to the customer at all.

Great dining location. Parking is a bit weird and most of the available parking spaces are located in the rear of the building. This might be due to construction going on at the main road intersection here. I was not sure if this was the case or not.

Food was great and service staff is friendly. Our service guest was very well informed on the wine products sold and what options were available.

Food was served with great care and brought out in a timely manner.

Our server Lauren went above and beyond needed to make our experience incredible. The food was great but her attention to every detail to make us happy was so refreshing. I have never had such a positive experience. I also appreciate her knowledge of signature drinks. Along with a great meal, great service and awesome drinks, we saw nothing but friendly faces and people having a good time even thou it was a busy Saturday.

What kind of steak house runs out of steak. I'm sure they just wanted us to leave cause it was an hour before closing. Customer services is terrible. I've been eating at txlc off stassney since I was a kid and even the food has taken a nose dive. GO TO LONGHORN. Better food at competitive prices.

Took my husband here for Father's Day and he truly enjoyed himself, however, I didn't like that our waiter specifically pointed out that his tip WAS NOT already included in our total (who does that especially since we didnt have a large group) but overall food was great!!!!

My husband and I went in on Valentine's Day since all the other places were all booked up or had a long wait time for a table. When we arrived the hostess just left and then walked around for a bit then came back to greet us. Before she could ask my name she answered a phone call and left again, walked around the restaurant on the phone and then came back. That was weird. I asked her how long the wait was for a table and she said 30 minutes, well we waited 45 minutes for a table. When we were finally seated our waiter came and took our drink and appetizer order. The waiter was great at first but then when our food came out he asked us if we wanted any sauce for our steaks. I told him yes and I asked him for the brand that I wanted and he said okay I'll be back in just a second. Well 10 minutes went by and he never came back around with the sauce and the funny thing is there was one right behind us on the table. My husband and I just looked at each other and laughed. So my husband just got up and got the one that was at the other table. The waiter finally came back around to our area and I told him, I said we already have the sauce and he was confused like he forgot I asked him for it. He said oh you did? Anyway the food was okay but my biggest issue was that I put in a to-go order while we ate our food. The waiter repeated everything that I ordered back to me just to confirm. When we got home two orders of fries that I had ordered we're not in the bag. I probably should have checked the bag before I left the restaurant but I was like okay let's just go it was late and they were about to close and I thought okay everything's probably in the bag so we left. Needless to say my daughter and my son were so upset that they had me bring back fries and they weren't in the bag when we got home. I will not be coming back to this location, actually I think this might be the only location in Austin now since the others are closed permanently. I wonder why.

Food took very long and it wasnt very busy. When the food did come out it was cold, also was given empty A1 sauce and when asked for more the manager brought out new ones and checked the old ones as if we were lying. Would definitely not recommend.

I have eaten here a few times for work functions. The food is good depending on what you order.

Table leg was missing so the table rocked back and forth the whole time! Was never asked if everything was ok. When our server walked by i had to ask him for ketchup and then stop him for our ticket. Food was not very good potatoes where cold veggies moosh steak just ok. Hope this helps you talk to staff on some of there people skills and there service to customers. Im a visting the city and sad i can not recomend this place to my friends when they come to austin

Paul was our waiter last night and did a fantastic job. Our order was behind a large party and he was sincerely apologetic about what didn't seem like that long a wait to us. He kept our drinks full and seemed genuinely interested in making sure everything was just as we ordered. Good job Paul.

Food and service were great. Enjoyed my dinner. Dinner and drinks for 60 dollars was worth it.

I had a wonderful meal with my son at Texas Land and Catle. Every time I come here the food is absolutely wonderful

The smoked stake was delicious, chicken was juicy, the seasonal stuffy pecan cake with caramel was the best desert I ever had.
Just the bread that wasn't that crazy... But still great food and service!

Great service. Lunch was lacking though. Ordered the Texas Ribeye, cooked rare. Came out and it was medium well. Server politely took it back and I was in no rush so didn't care much. Manager swung by and apologized and said that there were new hires in the kitchen and he'd get-out sorted. Second steak came out and while rare, it was not charred on the exterior. It lacked any color... Consequence of low grill temps again maybe because of the new cook staff. Ah well, I was starving. Maybe next time I'll try it for dinner when I return when more seasoned staff is in the kitchen.

Service is GREAT... the steak is ok. I ordered medium, came out well done. They use a spice that I just cant quite identify...not my favorite. The mashed potatoes are delicious. I had a glass of wine during lunch and it was $8. Too bad it isn't a little cheaper during early lunch. That would have made this meal much more appetizing!!

I ve tried this place a couple of times and always get a stake but this time around I got the Salmon and .... OMG it was the BEST!!! It was just perfect .. this is my favorite plate now.

We ve been going here for dinner when we visit COTA for the last five years. It seems to slip a bit each time. Yesterday will be the last fine. Food was ok, but service was literally the worst I ve ever experienced. Food came late and without an apology. Drinks were not refilled. Server could care less. I m done.

Great server. Moved to the bar after dinner and the Bartender was the worst I've seen in a while. Not attentive at all. Didn't seem to need to have any interest to serve us. I almost had to get up and ask him for another drink, but I took my money somewhere else instead . Too bad!

We had a awesome dinner. Ty was very attentive making sure everything was to our satisfaction . Definitely will come back to this location

Interesting place...had multiple errors on order. Mismanaged and poorly run.

WOW, OK where to begin. When arriving we were greeted nicely and seated in a booth, when I sat down there was something spilled on the seat, but I notched it after I sat and felt my shorts stick to the seat. When informing the manager that my shorts were stained, she said I'm sorry and left a wash cloth. Second no paper towels in restroom. We still said we are from out of town and want a sirloin and a smoked sirloin. Well the were out of almost everything and when we decided to go ahead and leave the waiter who had been rude just said fine, slammed his book and rushed away. We have been here before and never had a complaint til now. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Very nice! Went here for a date recently and we had a great time! Our steaks were good, and so was the atmosphere.

Food was good, but maybe it was just bad luck, but they were out of everything the night I visited.

A favorite place to take friends when want to go up a notch. Dining room is nice and clean and relaxing. Staff are always friendly. Prices are a bit higher but worth it. Try the Bone in Ribeye with a Wedge Salad! Yumm!

Server blamed kitchen for slow service several times. However it took him 20 minutes to bring the check at the end of the meal. Food was okay.

A great experience, as usual! Homey atmosphere foodwith great and professional staff. The manager, Zach, by and said hello and even did a magic trick for my kids!

I ordered the salmon which was delicious, sides were great! The kids chicken nuggets are fabulous, and my husband's rib eye did not disappoint! Perfectly cooked medium and Trever.

We drove from Brownsville to San Marcos to drop off my grand daughter at Texas state College. She really wanted to eat at Texas Land and Cattle . We had not been in a couple of years and are big fans of the pepper corn sirloin. I called ahead since our group was a party of 15.
We had a very nice greeting and our server was very efficient and kind. It was her third day working there. The problem occurs when our food with not cooked properly and our plates came out almost an hour and a 1/2 after we placed our order . The manager Chris B. was upset and very, very rude. On too of everything they were out of the sirloin that most of us ordered. He offered no options except for us to pick something else. Then he stated, "This is honestly the first time in 13 years that we are out of something and they don't understand that if we are out then we are out". He was notably upset. Our server was so appalled at his behavior that she put in a call to the GM. Very poor management. Not a good reflection for the company. We will not return ever. This company is struggling with so many closures. This is definitely not the way to stay on business. In the end we paid full price even though our meal was very very late and marred by very rude behavior from management. Our server got our full tip and advice to go work elsewhere.

Visited about four, it was not full. Really nothing but good experiences here. This place has a cool design.

I was mildly disappointed with this visit. It took almost 30 minutes to get drinks, 40 minutes for bread to be brought to our table and both steaks were cooked incorrectly... only received one tea refill the entire time in...

The food is amazing! My steak was cooked perfectly and everything was brought out in a timely manner. Paul really took care of us!

Wait staff and management was very nice and fruend. Food was ok. Getting food during lunchtime was slow and not very hot.

We were there for a friend's birthday party and it was a nightmarish experience. They double booked 2 parties and had to scramble to find an extra room for our 15 people party. The bartender was our server too???? She had a horrible attitude towards everyone and the manager ended up getting us an actual server too take care of us. The food was not good either, everyone's steaks were way way way overdone and they had to Google how to make a skinny margarita. I would not go to that place if it was the only steak house in town!!!!

My wife took me here for a steak dinner for my birthday. Our waiter was John Hanna. He was truly phenomenal. Took amazing care of us and always was one step ahead. Great experience and great food!
