We drove from Brownsville to San Marcos to drop off my grand daughter at Texas state College. She really wanted to eat at Texas Land and Cattle . We had not been in a couple of years and are big fans of the pepper corn sirloin. I called ahead since our group was a party of 15.
We had a very nice greeting and our server was very efficient and kind. It was her third day working there. The problem occurs when our food with not cooked properly and our plates came out almost an hour and a 1/2 after we placed our order . The manager Chris B. was upset and very, very rude. On too of everything they were out of the sirloin that most of us ordered. He offered no options except for us to pick something else. Then he stated, "This is honestly the first time in 13 years that we are out of something and they don't understand that if we are out then we are out". He was notably upset. Our server was so appalled at his behavior that she put in a call to the GM. Very poor management. Not a good reflection for the company. We will not return ever. This company is struggling with so many closures. This is definitely not the way to stay on business. In the end we paid full price even though our meal was very very late and marred by very rude behavior from management. Our server got our full tip and advice to go work elsewhere.
