Food tasted good and was served quick, a good alternative if you just want something simple.
Food tasted good and was served quick, a good alternative if you just want something simple.
Very good food and service.I recommend warmly, but do not overeat.
I loved the decor and music, plus only place in old town that I know has D.r. Pepper
Really child friendly, children under 7 will eat free with adults. Our first time out with 1 year old went really well.
Well worth a visit. Great service and good food, well-made portions.
We probably were unlucky, but our quesadillas were tiny and the place does not look clean.
Best ribs I've ever tried in my life!!! Awesome place with a cozy atmosphere, friendly service and GREAT food. I recommend a lot!
Great atmosphere and amazing food! Great place for homesick Yanks!
. , . .
I've probably never eaten such a horny soup (# 30 on the menu) in my life! Very tasty with a clear need for repetition.
The beer was very strong for me personally, which I also had chosen.
I was very friendly and the staff were obviously interested in the well-being of the guests.
Top restaurant. Texan cuisine. Tasted very good.
Great choice of food. Restaurant has a great atmosphere.
Service staff was friendly and competent.
You were served relatively quickly.
Can just be recommended.
High attitude and quality towards the customer service and experience for the theme of the restaurant. Food is tasty and served with passion. Must visit place in Tallinn.
Good American beer house with the historical center of Tallinn with good cuisine. We spent many cold autumn evenings here, beautifully brightening them up in a pleasant atmosphere.
Cool a la American place. The atmosphere is met, the dishes are delicious (especially wings, of various formats, work out). A cozy establishment for both the company and sitting together to talk for a pint of beer
Wait time was a bit long but understandable during covid times and staff layouts. Food was excellent.
Surprisingly authentic Mexican food with great customer service
Food was great (smoked ribs). Place had a very authentic feel. Good selection of food and beers. Friendly service.
Never been disappointed, always good foods and cocktails. Service is also nice :)
I didn t like your burrito at all, it doesn t sound like burrito, it was really disappointing
The most Americanized restaurant in the Baltics. If you're looking for tex mex this is the place to be!
Interesting atmosphere. But it's a very long time to wait for the order. For children under 6 years old the menu is free. You can take free peanuts and throw skins on the floor. It's not usual for a cultured person, but in Texas, apparently, the norm. Prices are high (saves a child under 6 years old: D)
I recommend a very nice original place! The service is good
Delicious. Took for two with a girl, barely ate. Everything is very tasty and cool. Service is always on top!
Nice place for European Mexican food (or tex-mex). Tortilla chips and Sol is a nice combo for a hot summer day.
Good atmosphere, and great service from the staff. Good selection of beers, too. The highlight is the food, though. This was by far the best burrito I've had outside America or Mexico.
Fantastic place. Great for kids. Crayons available :) the beef burrito was as good as I've had anywhere. Just perfect! The menu has many options and the drinks menu has even more options!! Lovely vibe and very relaxed and cosy. The quesadillas my wife had were brilliant too. Will visit again.
Very good food, great atmosphere, very good service and something different. We recommend.
Spicyest food in Tallinn. Eero style wings are the best.
Had an extremely rude customer experience. Tried to bring my husband and stroller with our baby in and were rudely turned away by multiple customers shooing us away. I have been to this restaurant multiple times previously and had only lovely experiences but to be treated so rudely makes me hesitant to ever visit again.
Edit* Two ladies sitting in the front hall were very rude to us rushing us out of the restaurant and telling us that there was no room for us. We did not appreciate that they were not told to be kinder to us as we tried to move our stroller back outside.
Absolutely friendliest waitresses, free peanuts and they put your food on fire. What else do you want? :D
40 mins to get drink. Now sitting at the table and weve been waiting food for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Really bad experience :(
Very friendly staff, service was attentive and fast. The food queue was said to be 40 minutes because the restaurant was full. However, the food came in less than 30 minutes and the portions were delicious. I recommend
Always excellent service and delicious food. Nice atmosphere.
We popped in here for a quick meal and were not disappointed. The burrito with beef was totally delicious, washed down with a Corona and complimentary water. You ll be asked your spice level from 1 to 3. I asked for 0 which is an off-menu ask but readily accommodated. The staff are exemplary in both their Texan waitress garb and service. Also, fairly inexpensive by Tallinn standards. Highly recommended.
Really unusual to throw nuts on the floor. Not really cheap place.
Mexican / American restaurant with all sorts of well-known dishes from both nationalities. There is a lot of focus on spicy dishes, so many are actually to be treated with caution. Also a wide selection of cocktails and drinks. Unfortunately, the menu is much too confusing.
Good solid staple. I would definately visit again plus the portions were huge
The food is always great tasting. Feels like a piece of home from Texas to Mexico!
Bar with nice service and good value drinks / meals
Good ol' American/Mexican food. Big portions and great flavors! Great for a small snack as well!
Good food, good choice in alcoholic beverages and great service
You can choose the sharpness. And this is a very important parameter. So here everything is as it should be. If you made a mistake and underestimated yourself there are sauces that you can add. Very cool soup and tacos. In general, many food options to choose from and it is clear that these guys are really inspired in the homeland tex-mex. Elegant.
Delicious chicken wings! Perfect atmosphere and nice waiters! Will most definitely come back.
Queso! Even though the waitress adorably called it "kwei-so". Lonestar on tap! I love the fact that this place exists at all. If I lived in Tallinn I would be killing this place regularly.
Nice place for people who like tasty and spicy food. Great stuff is working in this place.
Tasty food, proper margaritas and very child friendly!
Nice place to take a rest and have a bottle of beer with Texas atmosphere
This is a more detailed review of Texas Honky.
# 1st Impression
Passing by this restaurant, it can not be overlooked. Large signboard, bright colors, non-standard interior. They look very interesting.
2 # Interior
The first thing that catches your eye is the design of the restaurant. A long corridor surrounded by various Texas memorials, chairs and tables. Very atmospheric and comfortable. The feeling of having lunch in Texas is wonderful. The place is less cultured but very friendly.
3 # Take the guest!
Going to the counter, they immediately seated us, gave us a menu and described it at full rate. Very nice waitresses and good service. They speak great languages, except Russian.
4 # Standby time
Fast enough, knowing that they work with fresh products.
# 5 Mmm-Mama Mia!
The first thing on the menu that caught my eye was Texas Margarita. After I asked what it was all about, my mouth opened when I found out about the giant scribbler of this drink. It is designed for 4 people, but since my girlfriend and I are not simpletons, we managed this monster together. Very tasty, very big, and really Texas Margarita!
# 6 Menu
Good, not deadly big and not small. Just right. The only thing is that the menu itself is gigantic and occupies the floor of the table in a closed form. Oh! Directly in Texas! (They also offer cigars in it, but unfortunately they ran out of them)
# 7 Recommended meals
While we were fighting the monster Margarita, they brought us our dishes. By themselves, they were simple, but they were cooked at home, i.e. tasty, satisfying, but not very beautiful. Coming here do not hope that you eat something NOT sharp. As a lover of spicy, I really liked their dishes, and my girlfriend does not really like spicy, but nevertheless she really liked it, which surprised me. Apparently Margarita hit in the head.
# 8 Price issue.
After we dealt a fatal blow to the Texas monster, we asked for a check. But of course, in any battle it s not without injuries, since this beast struck at 45, which honestly ..... was worth it. The dishes themselves were not expensive, check in the photographs.
# 9 Would you return to Texas?
And how! I would go back there to defeat this monster again or try their other drinks. Also, I would go back there for their delicious food.
This place is not for people who want to see Michelin stars who will fly over their dish.
This is a place for people who want to relax and have fun to the fullest.
But there are also corners for calmer people.
# 10 Verdict
9/10
Would Texas again.
Happy, good service. Food really good. There's nothing in the can of stuff, doing everything from start to finish by yourself. The best guacamole I've got the restaurant
Really nice, friendly bar/restaurant. Ok, so it's not authentic Estonian food, but it's not as if the name hides that fact!
Such a personal service. And their frozen margaritas are to die for! Not to mention the quesadillas. Or the quality of the tequilas. Or the interior. Overall a fantastic place!
Great food, I highly recommend a kebab served in a way I have never experienced anywhere else
Would give 6 stars if you could, very tasty shrimp salad, chicken wings, mmm ... guacamole so good just ...
The greater places and i like the menu and the best service
The chilli is incredibly good, but the meat in the burrito and the accompanying sauce tasted nothing.
Great service and food. Best breakfast in town... in my opinion.
Highly recommend if you like Tex-Mex. This is by far the best Tex-Mex food I've had outside of Texas. I'm originally from Texas but have been living in Europe for some time and I haven't encountered a Texas themed place as good as this one yet. Being in here made me feel right back at home. The pico de gallo is amazing and all the flavors are just right. Chips and queso are just like at home. The aqua fresca was also homemade and very good. The tortillas tasted fresh and homemade, and are also not made with lard so it's suitable for vegetarians. There are quite a few good vegetarian options to choose from. The decor is a little over the top, but in the authentic Texas kind of way. A lot of great attention to detail. The owner is an Estonian who goes to Texas every year and has had the restaurant for 20 years. He even brings his staff with him to Texas sometimes! It's located in the old town and yet the prices are considerably cheaper than other restaurants in the area.
This place made this homesick Texan's trip to Tallinn all the more enjoyable.
When they say spicy, they really mean spicy! Nice to see that!
Ok food, the menu was very large and hard to navigate, you could say it was messy.
I ordered a burrito, it was covered in salsa, so the tortilla was soggy.
My friend ordered a nacho plate without jalapenos, she got it with jalapenos. It took them 30 minutes to prep a new one. I was already done with my food by then.
We probably spend 1,5 - 2h there when it could have been 45-60 minutes.
Music: good
Prices: med/high
Atmosphere: great
Service: ok
Slow service. At least the long islands were strong.
