I enjoyed working with Temps Plus, because their professional personnel, and I get to meet nice people. I have gained valuable experience working with some wonderful companies as a temp. They help you get your foot in the door. Friendly co-workers, communicate well with others, be productive, meet professionals new home consultants as they are willing to give you a hand, learned different skills and knowledge, weekly.
Smart Staffing Solutions is an Amazing company to work for!
They're okay to work for but it depends on who the area manager is and how well she/he treats their employees.
Karen from Southern California s Inland Empire location was AMAZING very friendly & completely easy to talk to Thank you so much Karen and I ll chat again soon!!
The staff is excellent. Yes the pay is less than desirable, but if you take their advice during orientation, watch the training videos, and try to keep an open schedule, you will get hired. They allow you to get your foot in the door, you need to do the rest. Be professional , open to learn, and keep a great attitude. I was hired after 3 months, and have their training and scheduling team to thank. This is a stepping stone, and you must see it in that way. I was not hired by a builder I worked for, but was found from a recruiter on social media. Thanks to Temps Plus, I knew how to win my interview and was confident in myself. Do your research. It will change everything.
I started with Temps Plus 9 months ago and I was just hired by a great builder! Don't always listen to the negative reviews. I read the negative reviews on this company before I applied and thought to myself...those people aren't me, and I'm not them. Being a temp means to take every assignment you can to get your foot in the door, learn as much as possible, practice the skills learned and apply yourself. You WILL be noticed if you add value and not just sit around doing nothing. I was not experienced in new home sales or the construction process so this opportunity helped me develop the skills and experience needed to apply for companies looking to hire. Sure the money is not great, but the experience you gain is invaluable. Also, the staff at this company were very professional. If your goal is to get hired then my advice would be to build a relationship with your scheduling coordinator, stay assigned, give 100% and continue to apply for positions online (indeed is the best resource).
So far the experience with this company has not been a professional one. Nathan Gordon a recruiter reached out with several days and times that we could connect. He chose a day and time that work for him. After rearranging my day and waiting he never took the time to respond to me during the time he specified. I take pride in honoring all commitments I make and I have no interest in working with a company that cannot honor theirs.
Wonderful staff and opportunity to learn the new home community sales nuances. I have hired other staffing agencies to cover my communities in the past and now have experienced the difference that a staffing agency that trains their staff can make.
Considering the crazy, sporadic nature of temping, TempsPlus gets an A Plus as an employer. Their process for interviewing, training and getting me set up at jobs was seamless. They were excellent at communicating openings and incredibly responsive to any questions I had in the field. The Northern Virginia office team was very efficient and posted lots of job opportunities. The California home office also responded promptly to my requests and payroll was handled easily online. Definitely worth the up-front investment of meeting these professionals "to get your foot in the door" with so many wonderful builders - and being able to continually access their career training resources!
