Beautiful gem in downtown Sanford. Attended 'Beauty & The Beast' and WOW-top notch! Wonderful performances, costumes, huge cast of all ages. LOVED It!

The Temple Theater is small but has a big heart! They take their productions seriously. They always do a great job of making the best of their small stage with great sets. I was there for the Christmas "Basement Ladies" production, "Away in a Basement". I don't think it is the best play I've seen there but it was entertaining in a homey, corny way. I am looking forward to see what they do with "MaMa Mia".

I saw the play Oliver and it was awesome. I don't usually like musicals but this one was the one to see. I give it two thumbs up.

We went to the opening night of Oliver and I had a blast! It was my first visit and I loved every second! The acting, singing and even accents were spot on. I wish I had tickets to go again. I definitely will be back. The quality of the production speaks for itself. It was the best version of Oliver I've seen.

A nice smallish theater (about 250 seats). Good sound system and clean, comfortable seats. Beverages available for purchase.

Temple Theater performed well both on stage and in all areas off stage. The box office staff, concessions staff, the greeter were all so welcoming and personable that I felt very special. The performers were extremely talented and the whole experience was memorable. Even the bathrooms are top notch! They partnered with a local chocolatier to give out a free treat and had artisinal works displayed by the local guild that were germaine to the performance. Great place to spend a night out!

Just witnessed a magnificent production of Hamlet. The performers were wonderful, and it was a huge turnout. Can't wait to attend the outside performance at the Depot Park. The experience of art and theatre is a must as it establishes culture within all. Job well done!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Peggy Taphorn has turned this theater into the diamond of Sanford! The talent comes from local as well as from New York. Much better than larger theaters. It is a MUST SEE when visiting this historical gem!

I have been involved in theatrical direction and theater going for seventy years.First in England and for the last 56 years in the U.S.A. My wife and i regularly attended the Barter Theater in Abingdon Va for decades and this set a high bar to evaluate regional Theater.
The Temple Theater and its production staff reflect an equally high standard of performance both in musical and dramatic offerings.
May they flourish and nurture our theatrical delights.They deserve and need the support of all who attend their offerings.

They always put on very professional productions. Our church seniors group tries to take in at least one production at Temple Theater every year.

Love this delightfully remodeled old theater.it is 2 floors and has main floor and balcony seating. It is home to our regional theater that produce quality productions that draw crowds from all parts of our area. Each year there are 6 productions that vary from musicals, seasonal plays or comedies. Staff is dedicated and friendly and volunteers assist during shows. Tickets are well worth the price and can be purchased in person, online or by phone. They offer matinees or evening shows.

Had an awesome night with old movie of Rocky horror picture show. And the staff simply amazing. This is my first review. Giving 5+ stars. Will definitely be going back with my gf again. Awesome .Keep up the good job.

Awesome theatre. In season, you can enjoy productions that are out of this world; out of season there are still some awesome productions/concerts/events lined up, as well as youth/community workshops, performances and "camps."

I can't overstate the quality of the seasonal performances. This isn't your typical small town theatre: the highly talented, critically acclaimed artistic director and her staff lead a world-class, professional theatre, the likes of which you will find in major cultural centers, without the price point.

Musicals, comedys, dramas - there's something for everyone.

Great local theater, just wish they had a bit more of a concession stand.

Real cute little theatre! I saw The Sound of Music many years ago and was very impressed!
Dracula could have been a little better, but it was still good.
We saw The Little Mermaid this weekend and it was great. The girl who played Ariel did a fantastic job. Honestly, I think she was the best character.

Awesome cast of 1776. Disappointed their wasn t a live pit orchestra but actors/actresses were excellent.
