I can attest to Audrey's statement. I worked alongside her in quality control but as a QC Chemist and it was absolutely awful. I witnessed everything stated in her review as well as all of the other negative ones. All the positive reviews are from those who are still with the company and are benefiting from its abuse. I personally found another job and left the company on bad terms on their end. Put my two weeks in with literally no response from HR for A WEEK until they decided to give me a call saying "don't show up for work tomorrow, we're mailing your belongings to you". I never got my stuff back, LOL. While working there I consistently was doing 3 peoples' jobs, some of which I was vastly unqualified for or shouldn't have been doing because they were not anywhere near my job description. I did not feel respected or appreciated, and left work every day burnt out. I tried to contact Human Resources, but they don't check their email or solve anything. Favoritism and nepotism are extremely evident in the company's hierarchy, as it seems management is trying to get the "right" people under them while ignoring the general staff's needs and complaints. When it comes to the actual operations and production, there was an overall lack of oversight in the laboratory which continuously led to errors, scientists not following SOPs, and violations everywhere. After working for quality control there, I wouldn't ever recommend taking or using their products.
Management sets up their analysts for failure. The lack of proper training, lack of manpower and overload of responsibilities put on each analyst creates unachievable expectations. Even though management is aware of the unachievable expectations, they hold analysts responsible even though it is out of our control. This creates a hostile work environment since analysts keep clear communication with their supervisors that their schedule is overloaded, but analysts are punished when they cannot meet these expectations made by management via write ups or having to work additional hours even though they are only paid for 40 hours.
The favoritism and nepotism run rampant in the Quality Control Department. If you are not in the clique you have a target on your back. The clique targets analysts that speak their voice and wrongly write them up or terminate them. Due to the unethical practices and barely there quality standards I have observed and witnessed, I pray that none of my loved ones are administered anything from this facility.
Testing into compliance should be the motto in QC. I have failed multiple sterile packaging components, only to find out that management is testing into compliance and releasing these injectable products to the public.
Not only does voicing your concerns go unheard, management is always putting blame on analysts rather than finding root causes to issues and failures. Again, this creates a hostile work environment. The turn around rate is something that everyone see but nobody wants to try to fix. If everyone would Just take a good look around you can see where the Cancerous behavior starts.
This is actually verbatim my resignation letter, to which was responded by human resources in immediate termination and no further investigation of ANY of the above claims. Investigation into each claim is company policy, just Incase you were wondering.
Today, four weeks later, I hear that the main cause of this cancerous behavior gets commended for their job well done . This is a clear example as to what happens when you are in the clique. You get rewarded rather than disciplined.
Not only that, but Lots of seals and vials that I and several other analysts failed have been put into production for the general public. They ended up testing these vials and seals into compliance knowing that this can potentially hurt a patient.
My best advice is to turn around now, unless you are part of the clique, then you don t have a problem to worry about.
