Some internet service providers are not able to provide promised bandwidth at all. If the demand getting high, service providers should increase their facilities to cater their customers. no excuses to drop bandwidth. There are so many complaints but as a responsible authority in sri lanka this commission do nothing for it. Almost all service providers cheat to their customers with high prices, with low quality services. commission informally and indirectly support to those cheaters by not getting proper effective actions.

TRC doesn't even pick up the customer service number on the internet even though they are the telecommunications board and we wonder how Sri Lanka almost never has major technological advancements when their government officials can't even pick up a simple phone call

Most inefficient place to call. Repeatedly rerouted to operator who is not available and for personal who claims they are not from TRCL. I received a massage stating my imi no not recognised which I brought in 2007 however it seems I have to physically go from dambulla hospital where I m working right now to TRCL to find answers. So much for technologically most advanced place.
Over to you minister and president

I have got an approval after visiting on a Thursda...

I have got an approval after visiting on a Thursday, which I have initiated an email on a Wednesday of previous week. I got a reference number allocated on Tuesday. After two reminders. This was for a customs clearance approval. I got it since I visited TRC, else I would have to wait until they send the email. Even after visiting, I got the email approval to my email. Had to wait abt 40mins. (Not a problem as I came all the way for this) They don t provide a print letter. Had to take a printout from a shop to give it to the Import & Export. People from the security point to the reception are very polite and helpful.

You can t park inside. Parking is very limited outside as it s near the Army hospital. All in all not a bad experience, but if they can respond and issue approvals via emails within 3 days. Then this place is the best place.

Also I don t like the wording on the email which was like threatening the public which says exactly -

Please refrain from making telephone calls to TRCSL staffs within this period and making frequent calls will result delaying the process of applications.

How making calls would delay their internal process? Here we are talking abt the place where Technology gets approved in Sri Lanka. Ridiculous wording as they should be using technology.
