Teck Alaska is an average company. The management needs improvement and the work environment is okay. Not really impressed with their services.

I get the impression that if you work for Teck, this could be a good place to work, but if you are with an outside contractor, it s awful. Teck houses contractors in their CC camp near the airfield. It s absolutely god awful. The roof leaks, the food is not of the same standards as the main camp, and recently there was a bed bug outbreak, which was not addressed until nearly everyone in CC had bed bugs. The CC came from the north slope where the other half of the original camp had to completely demoed by a full hazmat team due to asbestos contamination. Teck should be ashamed of the way they treat contractors. We come up there and work long hours for weeks away from our families and Teck treats us like sub-humans. Shame on you Teck. Shame on you.
