A large-scale technological and real estate projec...

A large-scale technological and real estate project, it was designed to position Renault at the highest level in automotive design. It provides its 11,500 residents with cutting-edge tools to carry out their projects in a modern environment that respects the environment. In total, more than 20 vehicles have
been designed since its inception.
Vehicle development takes place in an integrated fashion, and manufacturing methods are developed along with vehicle development. In addition, digital technology makes it possible to conduct around ten projects in parallel.
The Technocentre is an essential instrument serving the growth and international development of Groupe Renault, an objective that takes on its full meaning with the Renault Contrat 2009.
Savings of around 150 million euros on average on each new vehicle developed
After reorganizing its structure and working methods (creation of program departments), Renault has decided to bring together on a single site, the Technocentre, all the Research and Development teams (engineers, managers and technicians) previously geographically distant.
Its 11,500 residents work on all stages of a project, from preliminary studies to the last prototype ready for factory assembly. Their objectives are to put innovation at the heart of development, to constantly improve quality, to reduce costs and deadlines and to promote the internationalization of Renault group models.
Car manufacturers are renewing and updating the range of their models today, anticipating the expectations of ever more demanding customers. Renault launched 8 private vehicles between 1945 and 1965, 17 between 1965 and 1985, 14 between 1985 and 1997 and 14 from 1997 to 2005. Under the Renault Contrat 2009, 26 new vehicles will be launched between 2006 and 2009.
This increasingly rapid renewal of the range imposes a shortening of development times, which the proximity between the Technocentre teams greatly favors. Project management organized in a transversal manner contributes to rapid decision-making.

The industrial ramp-up times have also been reduced in order, again, to take advantage of market expectations. Since the creation of the Technocentre, they have been divided by three. This performance and its improvement depend, to a large extent, on the quality of the work carried out from the design phase and the proximity of the teams dedicated to the design of the product and the process. Symmetrically, in a movement of comparable importance and with the same concern for consistency, all the resources devoted to the development of mechanical components (engines and gearboxes) have been reorganized on their historic sites, notably in Rueil. The logic is the same, especially in terms of development times and costs, with a reduction target of around 30%.
The Technocentre has enabled Renault to save 150 million euros on average on the development costs of each new vehicle.

Currently, 11,500 people work on the Technocentre site every day, including 2,000 service providers.

The Technocentre is partially located on the former runways of the Caudron Renault aerodrome, created in 1930 in Guyancourt and acquired in 1933 by Louis Renault.

It's not a public place, but it's a huge engineering center where Renault and Dacia vehicles are designed, engineered, prototyped and validated ! Around 10000 people from different citizenships are working there.

The largest research center in Europe is Technocentre Renault. Here all development of the Renault group is done, including the electric vehicles.

To get to the delivery, you have to get the best from the roundabout at Rue Robert Arnaud d'Andilly and all the time practically after the signs to the end on accueil livraisions, because no one will tell you anything and there is even on the main street signs leading to loading or unloading. Park there is no where, because they are throwing out of the company's premises, where theoretically it would be possible to stay overnight in anticipation. A large company, but not adapted and negatively targeted by drivers who come to them.

Concessions PRG Buc: error of 10,000 due to a bad diagnosis on my car and refusal to repair the damage

The TCR as well as the factories try to do their best in a very tough sector in competition, but the weak link of the brand is the network of concessions and garages which cause it great damage.

And unfortunately, this is what the end customer obviously recognizes.
What about the training of garage owners ...?
