I graduated in 2007. Very good school back then. I m surprise at all the negative comments. I m currently working for NCR as a ATM technician. Has its good and bad perks. Thanks to TCI I m working and grateful for that

The worst help on education, they only Care about Money. Not making almost everyone happy if you leave school after just a few weeks of classes and you agree on financial aid, good luck your life just got damaged. Better get luck to have cash for this school.
I am a NET student, and work in the FWS program in the library. The school does have issues, that are more related to changing of staff and environment . But so far i have enjoyed my time, and the professors here. I am going to attend PARSONS for Technology and Design after i graduate , and so far have had had nothing but the out most support from all i work with. I am not going to lie, i am going to struggle to pay for the BFA i want to get there, but i don't regret my time here at TCI. I graduate soon, and only hope to continue my education. No matter what school you go to, you will find something to be negative about.
I took "health information technology" here for one semester in 2010 after naively thinking I'd have a better chance at being hired in medical billing if I had a degree (note: I had already graduated from a continuing ed billing program and passed the certification exam). Big mistake! This glorified diploma mill did nothing but waste 3 months of my time and $6000. I was able to use my transfer credits for a few classes, but the remaining classes were so pointless and redundant - it's pretty obvious that they're just trying to stretch out material that COULD be taught in one semester into three semesters so they'll make more money! Also, despite fliers claiming that you could sell back textbooks for money, you apparently only get a voucher sent to you in the mail later? (I didn't try it; this is what other people in my classes were saying)
I don't want to blame the teachers because they are qualified and know their subject; I feel sorry for them for having to teach there! It's just that the material the school gives them is terrible. Everything was slow and dumbed-down, and a complete waste of time. The administration is terrible and unorganized. They charged me $50 in late fees when I had not made any late payments. Hilariously, it also took them six months to figure out that I had not registered for another semester.
I can't say anything about the quality of other majors such as automotive, electrical engineering, etc. but no matter what subject you're interested in, I cannot discourage this place enough. These people are only looking to rip you off. GO TO A REAL SCHOOL.
Its my 2nd semester in TCI College and its not a bad school at all. What I wish was a little better was the student lounge and the activities. But the plus side that this school does is that every wed. for two hours they provide the students with food for FREE. =) Yeah there are loans but for good education has to be a price.
This is the most unorganized school I ever been to. The workers in the financial aid office need to be retrained or need a new younger staff that is up to date with technology. Been waiting for 3 hrs just to be seen by a counselor. I've been to community colleges and the longest I ever waited was 30 minutes. Don't invest your time or money into this school not worth it.
I graduated RCA/TCI over 40 years ago and it prepared me for a successful career in telecommunications. At graduation I was offered at least 3 positions, interviews arranged by TCI, with top companies including IBM, ITT and Con Edison. With the tools and preparation from TCI, I was able to work hard, apply myself and manage my career. It has proven to be the best investment of my life.
I recently took night clashes here and had the worst experience a school can offer. Teachers showed lack of interest to teach. Especially teachers who teach day time as well. Financial aid seem like they're only interested in getting cash and won't attempt t help you if possible..half the times teachers were absent . worst of all most election via didn't qualify into my bachelor's... This is a private school tricking minorities into attending there private schools instead of a public on which I should mention is half the cost...
