The 3rd rows on the second balconies have restricted view and they don t notify you when booking tickets. Thus we had to stand up during the all show (which was wonderful).
I would have upgrade my tickets (25 ) if i was alerted.
Therefore the experience was disapointing

Always fascinating to see a work in this theater even if very touristy
On the upper floors, be careful to choose the seats, nice columns disturb the view.
Another thing not to underestimate the heat on the third floor becomes unbearable

Wonderful place for opera and ballet lovers of all ages. The quality of the shows and the magnificent architecture of the theatre make each visit worth every penny and every minute spent in traffic. One suggestion: boxes on the side can have character and the flavour of the past, however the view is quite reduced. It was the only inconvenient aspect of a beautiful night. I will go again another million times, but definitely would buy different seats.

I wasted my time and money. There is no doubt that Italian opera is the bEst in the world with it's quality of singing. But for such a wonderful art they suggest "lovely" places sold by internet where people ACTUALLY have to stand!!!!to see what's going on on the stage ! I asked a hostess to replace us because as a tourist coming to Italy to listen to the great opera I can't enjoy it siting LITERALLY against the wall!
Meanwhile the personnel didn't react peacefully and they suggested us the places which cost less that we paid and those places were dusty and dark!!! I am SO shocked and disappointed not only by the behavior or personnel but I also can't understand why the building didn't have ANY reconstruction work?! Again , I don't want to have such experience anymore.
If to say something positive- they gave 2 candies at the entrance, maybe to "sugar" us before giving a slap.

For the first time I attended an opera by Donizetti.
Very nice theater, welcoming and tidy.
Beautiful, tragic, by Anna Bolena.
Open applause.
Prohibit photos, but why prohibit the disclosure of such beauty?
Italy has always been the cradle of the bel canto and the good music, so we take advantage of this location

We sat in the last row of the gallery, it was the last two seats and we didn't want to miss the opportunity. Value 22 euros each and said
"posto da ascolto" or place to listen, we saw very well !!!! . The next time you come to Italy, be sure to watch a show.

Sin.

Sin.
The staff is courteous and polite (except in rare cases of excessive Roman world, which, though pleasant, sometimes you might avoid) but sorry to see a structure left to itself ... And You notice the details, rovinatissime chairs, powder packets , as well as from damp stains on the carpet and walls.

Ridiculous and scammers, 65 euros for a place where you can see half the stage and not even well because of a column. The cheapest seats, those from 35 euros, have a much better view. Just a word THIEVES.

Beautiful theatre.

Beautiful theatre.
Quality was ok. I expected more experienced/seasoned performers. The boxes are very comfortable although a bit warm.
The theatre alone is worth going.

We experienced an impressing Tosca. Fine singers and beautiful scenography. Better chair's this time on the 4th row - right in front. Last time we had seats on 3rd floor, and got pain in the back because of bad chair's. One minus: no toilet paper on the lady's toilet (bring your own) - typical experience in Rom, but at the Opera, why?

Splendid 1800's theater only entering it generates...

Splendid 1800's theater only entering it generates a great emotion. There are also wonderful Bohemian crystal chandeliers, the one in the center of the theater seems to be the largest in Europe. As for the shows, I was able to attend several ballets and operas that have always turned out to go beyond my expectations. Classic titles are offered but the representations are always in an original key. The cost of an armchair in the stalls is around 120, for the central boxes 130. Both from the stalls and from the central boxes you can enjoy excellent visibility thanks to the optimal dimensions of the theater: not too big, not small. It is very convenient to walk to the metro or Termini station in 3 minutes. Adjacent to via Nazionale there are good and cheap car parks to leave the car. The important thing is that it is located in the restricted traffic area! Therefore it can be reached by car only when the gates are turned off, under penalty of rather high fines. I have never needed to use a taxi but at the end of the show there are always a large number of them passing right in front of the theater. The only small flaw is the internal bar: exquisite staff but the offer of drinks and snacks is very limited. What can I say, it really deserves more than a visit!

Magnificent experience for the excellent interpretation of the Carmen (ballet version), the elegance of the theater, the retro atmosphere, the care with which most of the spectators dress. Inside the theater there is also a mini exhibition on the history of the Opera House.
