Beautiful theater, clean and warm (in winter it is not so obvious). Very nice and helpful staff at all times of the show. The six-seater stages are a bit small, but not too uncomfortable anyway. The chairs, although they are not armchairs with armrests, are comfortable and those in the rear row are raised to allow the view. The side seats, of course, have a poor view.

A representation a bit 'more modern than the Wedding of Figaro but still exciting. Always a bit like going back in time to sit in this theater! Very nice to be able to admire closely the director direct all the orchestra and the artists sing the opera from the same distance.

Beautiful location, we were to see the swan lake with the family, a wonderful show both for the corps de ballet and for the orchestra ... not the same can be said for the structure, which is wonderful in itself but lacks maintenance (defective elevators and bathrooms to be reviewed).

Magnificent place, full of history and very well preserved.
I was lucky enough to see a performance of the ballet Carmen there. A very nice experience that I highly recommend.
They offer a large amount of opera and ballets throughout the year and several award ranges.

The quality is very high but the public hasn't caught on yet so the prices are still reasonable and good seats are usually available. Unfortunately many of the sets and staging follow some extraordinarily stupid contemporary trends.

I saw a magical flute of novel stage production (utilizing projection mapping). Since I arrived in Rome the next night, I slept about half. I awoke at the chorus place.

Anyway, I was satisfied with the gorgeous luxury of the venue.

Always beautiful experience but always on several occasions, unfortunately, for choices of scenography, you prevent the gallery to see well and in some cases even to feel good. It's frustrating. After the second floor of the structures used on stage, you can not see or hear ...
P.s.Orchestra marvelous !!! Take care of the musicians of the opera house !!!

The opera house in Rome is always fabulous, a pity that it does not always remain traditional and sometimes the works are transposed into epochs totally improbable and unsuitable to make the atmosphere required by the plot. As in the case of the Rigoletto of December 2018.

It is impossible to review such a structure. I saw some splendid representations: the ballet Sleeping Beauty. A beautiful edition of Rigoletto and an equally splendid edition of Tosca with original costumes restored .... Without words

The Teatro dell'Opera di Roma is the Roman theater...

The Teatro dell'Opera di Roma is the Roman theater dedicated to opera and ballet; it is also known as Teatro Costanzi, from the name of its creator, Domenico Costanzi. Even before the capital of Italy was transferred to Rome, Monsignor Francesco Saverio De Merode, who owned the valley of San Vitale, saw clearly that urbanizing the route from the train station (then under construction) to via del Corso it would have been a real bargain. Domenico Costanzi took part in the initiative and bought land, on which he had the Hotel Quirinale built first along the new Via Nazionalen in 1874, then on the neighboring land the Opera Theater, which was still missing in the new capital. The hotel communicated with the theater through an underground passage, which guaranteed maximum privacy for the artists (who also appreciated the accommodation for this very reason).

The seats in the second row of the side boxes are (almost) a waste of money: to have a decent view of the scene you will have to stand.
Better the gallery, it also costs less.
On the balcony you risk finding yourself in front of a column.

Very nice theater in the center of Rome, a stone's throw from Termini Station, crossroads of public transport in the capital. An important place both for the rich offer of theatrical performances of high cultural interest, both for the Italian art history that, in some way, the theater represents. If you like theater and opera it is absolutely worth visiting to enjoy some shows in complete tranquility.

Very large, excellent acistica, organozzazione and the programs of work. I really enjoyed the dedications (photographic, videographic, statuary and collecting) in Gigli (mainly) and other opera singers, as in the opera itself.

A strange fusion between Albert Speer on the outside and La Fenice on the inside of the theater gives off a cozy and obsolete atmosphere. To have. Good acoustics despite the wind tunnel, short courses, several bars. Seats of the parterre kind plane lowcost: people of 1.80 and more imperatively take a box! Ah, by the way, very nice show: La Traviata.
