Teatro Alighieri, Italy Review

Although quite recent construction (1950) ... it shows its character in the essentiality and purity of the lines on the outside. Harmonious interiors, welcoming stalls and boxes, excellent visibility of the stage. The programming is good, there are several offers, especially music, at a cost accessible to all. Numerous afternoon meetings, often with free admission. The RAVENNA FESTIVAL stands out for its intensity and artistic choices, enriched by the presence of Maestro Muti and by his delightful encounters with the public 'before the premiere'. ,

The Alighieri Theater is a charming and historic place in the city. If you have never gone to see it's worth it at least once. With its gigantic crystal chandelier and antique flavor. Obviously the comfort and pleasantness of listening and the vision of what you have chosen to see is very much influenced by your position and where you are. If you want to have an excellent experience, it is better to choose only stalls and 1 and 2 stages maximum 3. More up and above all too close and too high better to avoid. The very uncomfortable gallery (called the dovecote) always avoid it !!! The seats have all been renovated in the stalls so you should be more comfortable than in the past where the seat was a bit tiring!

I've been in this theater three times in the last few years; it was a fascinating priceless experience each of the times. Too bad that you do not do more nationwide to encourage viewers (especially young people) to go to the theater!

Last representation of the autumn trilogy of the Alighieri theater. On November 23rd I attended Nabucco, on the 28th at Rigoletto and on December 2nd at Otello. All three performances were of great importance both for the performers and for the direction. I can not report anyone who has not lived up to the role played.

The theater offers a high level program of both prose and opera and ballet. And the scenario is exceptional.

Beautiful classic Italian theater, excellent acoustics. Also equipped with a concert hall with a separate bar, dedicated to the great Arcangelo Corelli of Fusignano RA.

Always a nice experience to return to the Alighieri for those who like me the passion of the theater!

A very large theater, the Alighieri is undoubtedly the best theater in Ravenna. Made very well, artistic references everywhere. Beautiful place to spend an evening with friends or alone.

Returning to the Alighieri is always a discovery: the discovery, once again, of one of the most beautiful theaters of my land, elegant in its forms, refined in its colors, majestic in its decorations. A precious gem in a city that certainly needs no introduction. A prestigious theater, which knows how to welcome and can host a rich and interesting program, able to satisfy the expectations of the spectator, as happened for the last concert I attended, a dream dreamed of.
