Team Walker: Improving the Lives of Jersey City Children through Education and Recreation
Team Walker is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children in Jersey City. Founded by Jerry Walker, a former professional basketball player, Team Walker has been providing academic and recreational programs to children since 1996.
At Team Walker, we believe that every child deserves access to quality education and recreational activities. Our mission is to provide these opportunities to children in Jersey City who may not have access otherwise. We believe that by investing in our youth, we are investing in the future of our community.
Academic Programs
One of the primary focuses at Team Walker is academic enrichment. We offer after-school programs for students from kindergarten through eighth grade. These programs are designed to help students improve their reading and math skills while also providing homework assistance.
Our after-school program includes one-on-one tutoring sessions with certified teachers as well as group activities such as STEM projects, art classes, and music lessons. We also offer summer camps where students can continue their learning during the summer months.
Recreational Programs
