Currently on hold. Noticed a problem and called them over a month ago. Waited an hour and they assured me that it was all go but delayed because of the virus. Just check again and no change in the problem currently on hold again.

Called this company for a motorcycle insurance quote. Got a good price for 4 months till renewal time in Feb. New quote in the mail for $3,500, more than half the value of the bike! Same policy, no accidents/tickets. The original agent I set it up lied to me, and the new agent and supervisor I spoke to told me to just "look elsewhere." You know the company is trash when even the employees think the price is ridiculous. Idk why anyone reccoments TD the company is just SCAM. 0 STARS if I could.

I used to think that they were OK, until I used my "accident forgiveness". Despite what their published material says, they share any accidents with all insurers. Thy then start jacking up the price, all the while telling you that you are "forgiven" for the accident. So, when you try to leave, the other insurers will price the policy with the accident as a part of your record. That means that despite the pamphlet saying that there is no prejudice to you, the world knows of the accident.Meanwhile the price that you will get from TD will be MORE than the price that you get from the competitor even with the accident.

Now, I am trying to cancel and I have been on the phone with that asinine music for HOURS and can't reach anyone.

Don't use accident forgiveness, ever, or buy it (there is a reason they push it) and instead go to RBC for auto. I am saving $1800.00 per year for four drivers in my household. (two cars and two ATV's), even with the accident.

Stay away from TD Insurance. They laid a trap to lure customers in and then increase the rate year by year. I started at $780/year in 2015, and 5 years later the rate is over $1,200/year. I am retired and use the car for weekend and shopping. I drive around 2,000-2,500 km on an annual basis, and I've never made any claims. The annual rate increase is about 15 percent. Greedy business!

LaTara Bailey-Britton is my insurance adjuster .This is simply the worst place to go for insurance. Have been fighting with her for about a month getting my car fix and getting no help from her. It's all about them and they simply don't call back and I wish you lots of luck even trying to find a contact number. I would give them a negative star rating but that is not an option. STAY AWAY because you will not get any customer support but they will mess you over on your claim. She done nothing for me, other than causing me stress! Called her and left a message multiple times and send an email no response the worst person in terms of communication.I was involved in an accident 3 weeks ago. Was assigned an adjuster who doesn't answer her phone. Have left about 13 messages with my adjuster and she hasn't returned a single phone call. I'm now at 4 weeks in and they have left me completely in the dark about my claim. I called this morning to TD insurance and was told that the adjuster had been removed from my case, nobody bothered to inform me. After a 45-minute phone call with a woman who didn't know the answers to any of my questions, I was directed to another woman who was finally able to give me a phone # for the at fault parties insurance company. Dealing with this insurance company has been more stressful than the actual accident. I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone. All the 1-star reviews are very fitting for the level of representation you can expect at TD insurance.

Even here we cannot give a review without being dishonest, I had to choose a star, so I chose one but I would really like to enter -0 Stars, We had been with this company for over 20 years, never had a claim or even a late payment, paid in full once a year on due date. We recently purchased a new vehicle and called to get a quote, much to our dismay, we were told our policy would go up over $700.00 dollars, now this was not a $90,000.00 vehicle, more like $40,000.00, we were told the vehicle in question was a "high accident" rated vehicle, that is crazy, it is a Dodge Ram and they are not causing the accidents, it may be the type of people buying them that may have accidents but we are in our mid 50's, been driving since 16 and never had an accident, thankfully. We were told that the Insurance Bureau of Canada sets that rating, well we moved to another company and that was certainly not the case. In addition to that we had just paid this years premium in full on April 16th, and when we cancelled it they are keeping over $600.00 as a cancellation fee? Also when I called for a insurance record for our new company they said we had only been insured since 2005, I disputed that and after some searching the agent informed me we were only with them since 2005 but had a claim in 2002???, gave my head a scratch, and asked them to figure that out. I finally received a call saying they were only going to give a record for the past 10 years, which was fine with the new company but I still wonder if that was to avoid the search for their mistake. In this world of statistics and Impersonal customer service, I stressed to the agent, we have to be so careful to give them the correct information and are basically threatened with the notification of the recording of the call, but when you are questioning them, it is a different story. Will never buy from this company again!!

Absolutely HORRIBLE service. I would not recommend this company to anybody. My advisor Catlin Joudrey was a nightmare to deal with. He never did anything to help with my claim, he didnt send my info over to enterprise to insure the car, he didnt contact the collision center to give them the go to do any work to my vehicle. Anything that your advisor should do, he didnt do it. If I didnt call, email, and then attempt to contact a supervisor, nothing got done. The worst part about this whole experience (other then the fact that it's been a month and my car hasnt been touched STILL) is that the supervisor or "manager" Matt will NOT call people back. Everytime I have called and left a message, he gets the person I was trying to make a complaint about to call me back. How uncomfortable? I called again and said please do not delegate this call, it has been two more weeks and I would like to speak to you about a complaint I have that hasnt improved. Sure enough, the manager does not call me again, the same guy I complained about and asked the manager not to have call me back, call me I havent spoken to a manager once in the month long sh*t show. Both third parties that have been involved with my car that work closely with TD during this process told me to run. They said this is an extremely common issue they are always dealing with with this company. I'll be leaving as soon as I can.

Absolutely no service. My sister had insurance under her car, and when she was moving, i got my own insurance under the car with no problem from them at all. Fastforward 2 years, i got into an accident and my car was totalled. It was to be written off and my 'adjuster' Joanne Theoret was extremely unhelpful and rude. She even ended the call on us. She then said that we would not be able to get the value of the car as the car registration is in my sister's name but i had insurance. Now what was i paying insurance for 2 years?. Might i add that i was originally under my sister's insurance but decided to get my separate one as she was moving. We set it up over the phone and was not told/made aware of this. This does not make any sense because what happens when parents get their children a car? do they register the car in the child's name? . Again, if you would like wasting monthly insurance only to find out you are never covered in the case of an accident, go with TD!

TD used to be very good to deal with, unfortunately the service and products have gone down hill drastically. Not only did I have to call for my proof of insurance and new yearly premium. I found out on the day of my renewal that my premium would jump nearly 60% with 9 years of no incidents on my driving record. Their only explanation was to blame covid-19 and that the insurance brokers were increasing everyone s premium. Which is not the case with my partner nor my roommate s renewal. Poor service for a customer who has been with TD for over ten years. Would not recommend.

I'd give minus 10 stars if the choice was available. We have been trying to call for four days, on hold for 1 -2 hours each time before the call gets dropped and you need to start again. The music playing on the hold line is enough to make you want to cut off your ears. There are hundreds of other more worthy companies to give your business to.

I contacted TD today to find out about whether my policy covers injuries when I am on a bicycle and not in my vehicle. The agent on the phone was extremely rude and combative on the phone. I think we'll be switching companies. TD has already been sued by cyclists for not paying out injury claims to customers who have been involved in hit-and-run collisions. I can understand if they don't want to pay claims, but they should at least be friendly and helpful. Not angry. So weird.

Been with them for awhile. Never missed a payment, never got into an accident or filed a claim, never even got a parking ticket. Went from paying 119$ to 170$ monthly and when I called they told me "everyone's rates are going up and it's out of our control,"

First off the employees are ok, it is the TD insurance which sucks.
To contact them you are on hold for a long time, every time.
They catch you with a low quote just to increase it constantly.
And when you cancel a policy they charge you again 15% of the premium as cancellation fee.
So be aware. Not recommended.
I heard from another customer that there own employees recommended switching to another insurance ....

I've been insured through TD for years, I called them Tuesday to add an additional vehicle to my policy, and inquired about any available discounts for my policy. Long story short, I was told about how a Defensive Driving Course would save on my policy. Then after contacting Safety Services NS and gathering information about the course, called TD back only to find out the saving/discount wasn't available and wasn't properly explained to me. After waiting 24 hours to hear from a Manager which I never received I called back and was told all of this was improperly told to me and that it was just human error and no savings could be applied. The manager also told me no one else could be contacted to explain my situation and what I was told on the phone.

Thanks TD Insurance, for the frustration, and appreciation to your loyal customers.

Everytime you need to make an update to your policy you wait 2+ hours on hold to talk to somebody. All 4 of their phone numbers lead to the same black hole that you just sit waiting in. 10/10 would not recommend.

Boyfriend was rear ended today, he called TD and they took care of everything in a timely matter. We are very impressed with the service we received today. Within 30 minutes they had him scheduled to bring the truck into a shop and had a rental ready to go. We are pleased to be TD customers!

Previously pleased with TD's service until I purchased a small 125cc motorcycle as a toy/commuter. Despite having 3 other motorcycles, 2 cars and our home insured with them they refused to insure the 10hp machine. It appears they are simply not in the small motorcycle/scooter market which is disappointing as I had previously viewed them as a "motorcycle friendly" company. Now to insure this machine at a reasonable price I have to move all my products to another company.

The real disappointment lies in their Customer Retention service. Do not waste your time. They have no ability whatsoever to offer you anything of worth to retain your business. They cannot underwrite a 1-off policy or offer any discount whatsoever on your existing policies. While the agent was polite and professional, all she ended up doing for me was conduct a lengthy review of my policies wherein she actually tried to SELL me more coverage and raise my premiums rather than lower them.

If this company cannot meet your insurance needs then save your time and breath and call another.

When getting home insurance with them the first employee I got gave a really good price, when I went to change the start date since negotiations on the mortgage changed the other employee I got sky rocketed the price by $400.00(yearly). When I argued that this kind of jump is not acceptable and what would of happened if I didn't call to change the start date they replied "It probably would of been caught, and the new amount would be billed", meaning after I had insurance with them the price would of all of a sudden jumped... I tried escalating to manager who was heavy on implying I changed my story, I insisted they listen to the phone call since I did not, when they listened they then said "the system says this price so we can't do anything." I'm glad I was able to ditch home with them. The car insurance is no better, someone under my plan got hit and was deemed not at fault, a week later they called told her she was at fault case closed..... They are super pleasant on the phones until they decide to shake you down for cash.

I was advised of a refund due from my daughters insurance changes on August 1, 2017 and advised it would be credited to my account shortly,it is now September 11/17 and was advised today it will be credited on September 14/17. In the mean time TD Insurance has debited from my account since August 1/17 premiums totaling over $360.00. While her actual premiums should be in the range of 180.00 for August and September. Can someone explain why the refund should take so long? I am sure if I missed only one premium payment, policies would be cancelled quicker then one could blink an eye. Customer service sucks. I pity anyone on a fixed income trying to cope with this foolishness. They covered the damages to where it was hit but told me they wouldn't cover my front passenger side tire and rim (again my car was pushed up over the curb) and ball joints and control arms. I gave up after waiting on the phone for 30 minutes after the message said there might be a 5 minute wait. I tried again later as I had to run to a meeting. I then hung up in frustration after 50 more minutes. It said the wait would be 10 minutes that time. I'm sure they could do better at estimating wait times. All I wanted was a document emailed to me. Just abysmal.

I have called a number of times to make policy changes and the average wait is between 1-2 hours. I am currently on hold and have been on hold now for 1 hour and 50 minutes which is not the way I wish to spend my Holidays. In the past I have been re-directed to enjoy being on hold again. This is unnecessary waste of customer time. Please invest in an automatic call back service and additional agents.

I ve been with TD for nearly 15 years with my bank accounts, over 8 years with my credit cards and now 2 & a half years with their insurance. My advice as a long-time customer; DO NOT DO IT. Actually, after this I m closing down all my accounts/business with them due to the following issue.
As recommended by my claims advisor I brought my car to their collision centre to be serviced after being rear-ended. On arrival, the shop manager went through the damage on my car with me and had actually pointed out additional damage that I hadn t noticed, but he advised appeared to be because of the accident (considering there was no damage there prior to the accident [for which I have photo evidence and witness testimony which I provided to them] it was very obviously from the accident). I should note here that I was advised at that time that someone would be in contact with me in regards to the damages. No phone call, email, snail mail or carrier pigeon was sent to me until 2-ish weeks later when I received an email advising my car would be ready to pick up the following day. I scheduled my appointment to pick up my car and on that day I noticed my trunk was still loose and dents and paint scratches still remained (not to mention a brand new reflector had fallen off the bumper and broke). I was furious that a majority of the damage was not fixed and that I was not notified in any sense of the word as to what damage they were or were not fixing. My plan was that if there was any doubt to the damage on my car and whereabouts it came from that I would take my car to a different mechanic and get their opinion, but I was robbed of that chance when they fixed my car.
All the remaining damage pertains to my trunk & surrounding area, but here s the kicker; they said that my trunk was not impacted as a result of this accident, yet according to their own list, they fixed quite a bit that resides underneath my trunk AND they either painted or buffed out the scratches that were on my trunk as a result of the accident.
Now I m being told my only option is to speak to my claims advisor s manager.
So what I actually have to do is have my lawyer take them to court, which I am already in the process of.

Side note: I m ensuring I tell everyone I know about this and advising them to change their services if they are with TD for anything.

Honestly if I could give it zero stars I would. I was in an accident on September which the police ruled me not at fault for but TD still said I'm at fault. They also claimed I had no collision on the vehicle and when I said I most definitely did they said they would have to go back and listen to all our conversations and get back to me. I've had 3 claims agents since then and not a single one has consistently answered phones calls or emails and I just heard this week they want to evaluate my car because low and behold I DO have collision. What an absolute joke of an insurance company.
