2nd time being in their showroom, 1st time buying a guitar from the showroom. Took the tour of the factory the first time, and hung out for a few hours this time to play more. Ended up finding a killer 224, then comparing it to all of the 2-series in the showroom and above and finally just as they were about to close for the day, took it home.

The sales process was easy and quick, the sales manager was friendly and informative all the way through the inspection and "delivery" of the new guitar.

Very happy overall and will be back for another tour as the employees are the ones who guide the tour so you may get a neck specialist or someone with a lot of knowledge about the finishing process.

Met employee Andrew
(Management). I think he needs to be more understanding of others and their cultural or just personal quirks and idiosyncrasies. Not even you live in a perfect world, Andrew. Grow the hell up.

Awesome tour. Most of the staff is pretty enthusiastic.. Not so much the women at the front desk. They aren't as welcoming. Also had to call for customer service before and they come off as annoyed.

I am incredibly thankful to be lucky enough to own a Taylor guitar! The craftsmanship and material quality is excellent, and the playability and tone can t be beat. I was choosing between a Martin and this Grand Pacific 717 Builders Edition Taylor, and I believe I made the right choice!

Excellent tour, very informative and free. Took about 1.5 hours. You can take pix in most parts and afterwards play guitars in their shop up to $ 9.000 worth. You can buy all models including the Mexican made ones, but, alas, there is no discount

This is a must stop for musicians. Every time I drive by I'll stop in and see what guitars are available to play. If I happen to be in time for the tour, I'll try to find the time to tag along. Make sure that you arrive at 12:45 if you're going to go on the tour! It lasts until about 1:15

I came to get my guitar pickup upgraded and to have my guitar serviced. The employees were really helpful and nice. A little expensive but what can you expect from a premium guitar company. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs their Taylor Guitar fixed/serviced.

I am soooo biased! I own several Taylor Guitars and finally went out for the tour when i was in town. SPECTACULAR. They make you feel welcome, whether you own one or not. They have several in the waiting area that you can play. They take you all through the process of making a guitar. It's wonderful. Friendly. Now, I'm ready to buy another guitar, but, it's gonna be another Gibson, I fear. Only my 3rd. But, they will look lonely next to my 7 Taylors. I love 'em. I loved the tour.

WOW!! What a great experience! I met Angie the front desk Customer Rep. and she was friendly and professional. Ryan who works the gift shop area was the same and helped me get what I came in for.
Josh looked up a serial number for me
and went and got me the hard shell case I needed
for my Ovangkol T5X. I went two bldgs. down to
get to the repair and set-up shop, where I met Cora
who welcomed me offered me coffee, and asked
someone to help me. Randy adjusted my neck and
then replaced an almost dead battery with a new one. He ran my T5 through all its electronics functions.
I tried the guitar for two hours the night before but
after the adjustment Randy did, I played it when I got
home and it was much improved. Thanks all around
to everyone who stopped what they were doing to
help me. Taylor guitars! Do the tour at 1pm and
buy aTaylor! My T5 is a tone Monster!

I wanted to say thank you to Keith, Taylor's Director of Business Development, who I met a couple weeks ago at San Marcos Guitar Center. He helped me purchase a demo model T5Z, at a reduced price, since it was in kinda bad shape for a new guitar! Anyway..the GC Tech cleaned it up...set it up and put new strings on it, and I love the guitar! Thanks again!

Spoke with Josh in customer service about my new 814ce I just purchased. He was very respectful and helped me with an issue with my new guitar that probably my own doing. But Josh wasn t condescending in any way and created a very visual of what I was most likely doing wrong. He also took the time to look up service centers in my area and state if I continued to have an issue. Very great experience

We are very big Taylor Guitar fans and made sure we made the time to visit the factory while vacationing in SD. Who doesn't want to see where musical artistry start from?

We got there too late for the factory tour and pretty sad that they were just minutes away from finishing. But...the very nice lady at the counter offered our family a quick non-formal personal tour, which we were so so thrilled of the offer! Angel was our tour guide, she was so great and did wonderful showing us around and we are so grateful of their hospitality and just taking the time out to show us everything. Everyone in each section of the factory were so nice and explained what their part was in the process of guitar making. We saw the guitars being put together from the stacks of wood, to sanding down every wooden part and watch them put the tiniest details on. It's was really great to see the guitars being born into such beautiful and wonderful sounding pieces.

The factory displays their different models from their basic up to the rare and rich colored wooden models. You can pretty much have a jam session in there with anyone that's willing to join in with you while you try out every model in the house.

Thank you so so much Angel and Taylor Factory Family for taking the time out for our family. We are never going to forget your wonderful hospitality and such a great family experience!

About Taylor Guitars

Taylor Guitars: Crafting the Finest Acoustic and Electric Guitars in the World

Taylor Guitars is a renowned American guitar manufacturer that has been crafting high-quality acoustic and electric guitars for over four decades. Founded in 1974 by Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug, Taylor Guitars has become one of the most respected names in the music industry, known for its exceptional craftsmanship, innovative designs, and commitment to sustainability.

At Taylor Guitars, we believe that every guitar should be a work of art. That's why we use only the finest materials and employ some of the most skilled luthiers in the world to create our instruments. From selecting premium tonewoods to handcrafting each component with precision and care, every step of our manufacturing process is designed to produce guitars that sound as good as they look.

One thing that sets Taylor Guitars apart from other guitar manufacturers is our dedication to innovation. We are constantly pushing boundaries when it comes to design and technology, always striving to create guitars that are easier to play, more versatile, and more responsive than anything else on the market.

For example, we were one of the first companies to introduce a bolt-on neck joint on an acoustic guitar - a design feature that has since become standard across many brands. We also pioneered new bracing patterns that enhance sustain while maintaining clarity across all frequencies.

In addition to our standard line of guitars - which includes everything from entry-level models for beginners up through professional-grade instruments used by some of today's top musicians - we also offer a custom guitar program where customers can build their dream instrument from scratch. This program allows players to choose everything from tonewoods and body shape down to hardware options like pickups or tuners.

But it's not just about making great-sounding guitars at Taylor; we're also committed environmental stewards who take sustainability seriously. We source all our wood responsibly through programs like The Ebony Project (which supports sustainable forestry practices) or Urban Wood (which repurposes trees felled due natural causes). Additionally, we've implemented energy-efficient practices throughout our manufacturing facilities such as solar panels on roofs or using recycled water during production processes.

All these factors combined make Taylor Guitars one-of-a-kind company with an unwavering commitment towards quality craftsmanship while being environmentally conscious at same time. Our passion for creating exceptional instruments shows in every detail – whether you're playing an entry-level model or one-of-a-kind custom creation – you'll feel confident knowing your instrument was crafted with care by skilled artisans who share your love for music!
