Very nice and cozy pub! Typically authentic pub interior and very friendly staff. The snacks also tasted very good. The garlic bread is recommended, good taste and served in a nice way.

Didn't stay to long as we just came out of the whole Covid19 thing. But all in all it was a positive experience dinning out again for the 1st time.

Been coming here for 10 years. Great ribs. Lovely food in general and a really nice atmosphere. Every time I am in Den Haag I will try and get here for dinner.

Where very well has been normal for more than 40 years. A fixed value in The Hague.

After a day in The Hague we arrived at Taveerne de Resident via Tripadvisor. Cozy business with a homely atmosphere. After waiting a bit at the bar with a baguette and a glass of wine, we sat down at the table. Although it was very busy, we were able to order quickly. We felt very comfortable. We ordered 1 time tortellini and 1 time Scottish T-bone steak on the recommendation of the waiter. "Those are the best," he said. That steak was really huge, wonderfully tender fresh meat and I had ordered roasted potato with sour cream and bacon. Food arrived quickly on the table. Smooth experienced service, yet homely and you don't have to wait long for your food. Just a business with simple but good quality food. We will certainly come here more often.

Very nice place, courteous staff, fast service, abundant dishes. Consumed a mixed grill, excellent. Remained very satisfied. I absolutely recommend it

Eating spareribs at the resident is a party. The service is superb, the atmosphere excellent and the taste phenomenal, unsurpassed. Try it yourself, I'm going back with my two sons, who are also crazy. Many of my friends are also crazy about it and like to go to the Resident.

Always nice food at the Resident, but when we called that the spare ribs we had picked up were raw inside, their solution was that we had to continue baking in the oven.
Sorry, I do not get ready-made food to bake at home itself takes 10 minutes before the oven is hot, then your fries will be cold.
Poor service and raw pork is dangerous for life!

Good restaurant, we came for first time. Had the Spare ribs, tasting good. Bit strange however that it seems you can't decide how you want them. (Spice, sweet)

Great small bites, ribs seem to be the overwhelming favorite. Ribeye steak was just average.

Smooth and attentive service, you really do not have to wait long for your food. The atmosphere is very cozy, but I think De Resident is also a household name in The Hague. Reservation in advance is recommended! Prices are also very reasonable, I really have nothing negative to report except a personal taste issue. 80% of the guests here seem to order spare ribs and so I also hear that they are fantastic. They are also really good in terms of taste, but personally I like spare ribs when they are so tender that they fall off the bone. Those were not these, but that is really my only flaw. I definitely recommend De Resident. The warm baguette with garlic butter and cheese from the oven beforehand is also very tasty!

First experience with spare ribs and still by far the best. And i spent a summer in Texas! I went back a few years ago after a long while and it remains as good as ever. I am going to the Hague soon and can't wait to go back again. In the meantime i strongly recommended it to afriend living in Amsterdam who did the trip just for that and wasn't disappointed.

Is no longer as it used to be. 2 times and 2 times disappointed. Bedoning is fine atmosphere is good.
Mix grill first time was reasonable to good. Some pieces of meat very 'dry'
I ordered spareribs the 2nd time. Dry and tough. When I had indicated this to the young lady of the bed, I was told that this is how it should be and that is their typical method of preparation. Then I indicated that long ago (2007) was different. "Oohh no! Always been like that" she said cheerfully.
Too bad, I found the spareribs the best in the region.

Good food. Difficult parking. Toilet on the first floor. Later it turned out that they also have one on the bg if you have difficulty walking.

My family and I had dinner here. The food was fine, service sometimes long gone. That and a pity that the prices are high, otherwise the dessert would have been an option.

Very complete dishes with garnish, clean bathrooms, friendly and attentive staff. He needs to have the letters in other languages since they only have it in Dutch. Very good coffees and tea is totally natural.

Always tasty, simple but good. Friendly staff and quick service. You're in the right place here to eat quickly but still with quality.

Remains one of my greatest favorites with any company whatsoever !! Come there for more than 30 years and even though the other dishes are also attractive, never go for anything other than spareribs, they are the best in the world and if you know me a bit then you know that I am a world traveler!

Looking for a restaurant for dinner on our first night in the Hague, we stumbled upon De Resident. After seeing ribs on the menu we decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did, that we came back the next evening!
Ribs were amazing, very generous portion, service was excellent, with English speaking waiters, wine was first class!
Highly recommend this place, but don't leave it any later than 6pm without booking a table.

Waited only few mins to place an order, and after that it was fast n' delicious

Was old again! Delicious dinner, nice wait staff at a reasonable price! Nice to do if you want to go to a good bistro, also located in a nice neighborhood.
