We love our neighborhood Tavern. Best food, excellent service, clean and love the local art displays.

Great gathering place in the neighborhood...wish their take out was more consistent.

Great location in the heart of The Village in Prairie Village. Tasty food. A bit pricey for dinner, but their happy hour has great deals.

Love the ambiance with the fireplaces and warm vibes, the service was very attentive and the food was cooked divinely. I got a crabcake sandwich the last time around and after subbing the iceberg lettuce for arugula, i fell in love. The fries here are cooked perfectly and i guiltily have to order an extra side every time i visit. 10000/10 wish i could have every meal here TRY THE RISOTTO CROQUETTES OMG THEY ARE AMAZING

Fries were soggy. Burger was dry. No ketchup or mustard included. Who does that?

Great service. Food was average. Other guests I sat with said the chicken (in their salads) was a little bland.

We all ordered the Beef Stroganoff and it was fantastic. Tender meat and awesome sauce.

Noisy and crowded. Food was good, few vegetarian options though. Not one of my favorites. For the money I expected a bit more. I noticed curry listed in several dishes, not a fan of curry. My coworkers seemed to really enjoy it. Just not my kind of place.

Tavern was great. It's not to far away from our house and the mac and cheese is probably the best I've had. It also had great service. I would recommend.

I didn't know good customer service still existed! My meal came out wrong but when the manager came by she apologized and quickly brought me soup while I was waiting. She then offered me another glass of wine and comped the meal on top of that. Would definitely recommend this place!

This place is always busy, service can be slow at times. I ve been here several times for lunch, happy hour, and dinner. The portion size of the calamari appetizer is kind of small other than that they are pretty consistent with offering a good meal.

Food was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. The waiter was friendly but off his mark. The restaurant will get another try and I look forward to it.

Great atmosphere. Clean..social distancing but my eggs Benedict was mediocre with fair sauce and a little scrawny piece of ham..but I had excellent fish dinner before.

The tavern salad is awesome as are many other things. The bartenders are great! It's like being wwith all your friends.

Had the patty melt, and hubby had the Reuban Both were fine but prices were high as bill hit $36 total with add on of soda only.

Went here for a drink after dinner. Service was top notch. Not a terrible lot of draft beers but had the seasonal I was interested in.

This place is phenomenal. Hidden gem, a menu to make everyone happy. Seasonal and daily menus too. If you can't find something to love here, you fail at living.

So far amazing pork and chicken dishes. IT'S NOT pricy, but I can't afford it every day. I can walk away spending 15 on food. So definitely reasonable now that cheap food is getting up there. Food quality is Not "cheap" but "amazing".

The Caesar Salad with Steak was excellent. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. The service though... was phenomenal. The management, hostess, and server were all on top of their game.

The bar is a great spot to meet friends and has some great food choices.

Pretty good overall. Great vodka tonic and the pork shoulder was good, just a little different than I was expecting. Maybe add a picture of it to the menu??

This place had a great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and a good variety of food and drink. The only problem that our group had was fairly consensual: the food was pretty bland. It was all high quality but it becomes less enjoyable an experience if the food is under seasoned.

Portions kinda small on the appetizer but otherwise excellent

Some of the best brunch in KC. A tiny bit pricey but totally worth it because of generous portions and deliciousness. Really comfortable and cozy atmosphere and seating.

Steak was underdone to the point of tartar. It was also tough and filled with gristle. A visually obvious poor cut. Kale salad was dry. Had to ask for extra dressing. Taste was good but didnt match the price. A one and done visit for me.

The waitstaff here is great. Our server was very polite and prompt. However, the food is terrible. My first red flag was that a filet was only $31. You can't even get good prime rib for that price. I ordered a steak sandwich. The cut of meat was awful, full of fat and sinew. It was just one giant untrimmed hunk slapped on a pretzel bun. Thankfully, they refunded my money because I couldn't even eat it. My friend got the half chicken, and the green beans that came with it weren't even trimmed. She had to pick off the hard, inedible stems. Do yourself a favor and cook at home. I promise you can do better.

THE ne' plus ultra of atmosphere, incredible food, a great bar, and good friends since MY discovery in 2011. Save my stool at the corner of the bar, please! (Its worth the 622 mile drive!)

Hit and miss food, however lunch tends to be better than other meals.

Excellent service and food. Waitress was the best! My daughter and husband were here with me. They always want to eat at Tavern. They hosted a family dinner there some time ago.

This place is a GEM. I go here every year for my birthday. Get the filet mignon; medium rare. It's incredible.

Loved the taco dinner. Not the usual with lime cilantro slaw. Black beans. Tacos tasty and full of meat and mix of veggies. Perfect service. Fair price.

Hanging at the bar makes the place feel like family. They get super crowded and are expensive which is not for us but we still love going there for drinks at the bar or on the patio. Service is always great

Food is always good. Service is great with friendly, helpful staff. Bar gets really busy by about 4:30 so go early if you can.

Our small party of 3 visited the Tavern in the Village on New Year's Eve. I'm a bit older and let me just say...I MISS SERVICE! I didn't realize how much I'd been missing excellent service until I went to the Tavern and received some of the best service since the 90's when waitstaff were PROs. From the front to the back of the house, these people have been TRAINED! OMG. Mind Blown. And the food was excellent. That's all she wrote!

I love this place! Best Hamburger in KC. Great atmosphere and the staff is really sweet and friendly. If you Yelp, every 3rd check-in is free hummus or calamari. Great deal!

Great service, terrific people, varied menu, nice atmosphere. I was there about 2-3:30 in the afternoon and the restaurant was still busy - a good sign of a good restaurant,. I would definitely go there again!
