Just not the same as it used to be. Just seems.. a little sellout. The cafe there does have lovely food though. And great coffee. The art gallerys are awesome. Especially the new renovated town hall.

Very cool quirky little village.
Has a real peaceful feeling to it.
A lovely cafe, clothes shop, Crystal's and more.
They also put on some great little events from time to time.

There was not much to do in the village and there were only a few buildings remaining. Nevertheless we took a few nice photos of historical buildings and objects. I reckon the place is perfect for wedding photos especially when taken by a pro.

Sundays Market, Shakespeare in January, lots of old, restored houses, history of the settlers, lots of different shops offering very varied goods, the man's shed with handmade wooden toys, We were warned by the bus driver that not much would be open. there was one shop and the eatery open but it was still nice to wander around and see the buildings

Situated on the outskirts of the CBD, I would say the historic village is most definitely worth a visit but maybe when the street market is on. We went this morning and it was very very quiet. Few nice shops in the old buildings and a good cafe at the end of the street.

We love the Bakery in the village. The most divine selection of cream cakes and buns and muffins plus fab coffee and decadent smoothies. Close to the walkways through the adjacent valley so a perfect start or end point to the walk

The garden and art fest was amazing! Bloom in the Bay Hub worked so brilliantly to showcase local artists and garden related businesses. The Historic Village is already home to The Incubator and People's Gallery, The Artery and more with many volunteer and start up businesses and organisations to explore.

The historic village is an interesting place to visit. The buildings in the village are kept up with constant upgrades. While some of the buildings have been built in the recent years, there are a fair number which are true to the age of historic. There are many functions held in the village on weekends for all to enjoy.

Nice place. Vintage-inspired shopping complex made up of original & replica buildings & cobblestone streets. It's a small but very nice area. Good for kids. They also have a cinema. If you're a photographer interested in vintage style photos, you must visit this place. They have replicas of over 100 years old buildings and cars.

I visited the whipped Baker and unfortunately had an accident where I knocked my tea pot of boiling water off the table onto my lap. The staff was so helpful pouring lots and lots of ice cold water on to the burns and I called my husband to come and take me to Ina where my Burns could be treated thoroughly. Then the manager of the historic village rang me to check that I was recovering nicely, a week later. All the stuff went above and beyond the call of duty to help me.

Not much stalls open today, but the music wow. Absolutely beautiful voice. Great songs. The small amounts of stalls that were open had some really decent stuff to see and buy. Definately will be going back again.

The best time to visit the Historical village is the weekend, especially when there is a market happening. Also a great place to go when there is a new artist showing in the small art gallery there. During the school holidays they hold childrens activities which you need to book for- they seemed very popular.

This place is awesome. There are lots auditoriums for program. You booked it for your family or community event or festival. We did here. They have everything arranged nicely. Coffee shop and others shops also. All people are friendly. There are lots of parking available. This place decoration is like old London.

This is a working village in that a number of businesses and a cafe operate out of here. However though the buildings are historic the businesses are not.
It's a quiet place to visit and spend time wandering.

We're UK based but have visited Tauranga a few times. This was our first visit to the Heritage Village and I am so sorry we missed it before. We only popped down for a stroll rather than any event so can't comment on those, but we were really impressed. The buildings are lovely, offering a real sense of place and character. The shops and cafe area enhance the buildings, giving it all a very lived in feel. I often feel NZ undersells some of its tourist sites, and this is another one that deserves a lot more attention and advertising. Parking was a bit dodgy the day we went. Well done everyone concerned, keep up the good work.

This is a great place to visit, I've been plenty of times over the years. Wheelchair accessible to the village, one of the best Cafe's in Tauranga is located there. Clean toilets. Good variety of shopping, with an art gallery, and funky, retro pre-loved clothing shops, even a man's shed. Beautiful preserved buildings to show local history. Plus more that I've yet to discover. Totally recommend checking it out.
