Really neat little place. Great atmosphere, some cool little shops
One star because it was closed
We looked it up on line and it said it was open
Most beautiful place to take a slow walk with a loved one
Not much open or happening when we visited on aThursday. Cool set up though
Great little village area, worth visiting the incubator!
lots of different shops to look at, and old machinery if your into that sort of thing ,
Weird but wonderful place. Nice wee cafes, art stores etc Worth a checkout but don't expect to spend much more than an hour or two.
A very nice spot to have picnic lunch, by the church
This place is getting better and better. Love the atmosphere. Awesome barber, great cafe... cool stuff with movies and music.
A lovely little trip into yesteryear. The beautifully restored buildings and paved roads are a feast for the eye. If you're into gemstones and fossils, stop by the little shop in the village and be sure to check out the little room with black lights and glowing crystals.
Good place for people who are interested in history
Beautiful vintage, retro cobblestone village with 'out of the box' shops, gems, crafts, woodwork wares, a Cafe, lead lighting shop, retro clothes, homade soaps and so much more. There's a vintage classroom and church, art hub, toilets, a Saturday market, and a cute little bush walk that you may find painted rocks hiding. Well worth a visit!
Although it's very different Historic Village from the one I visited during my primary school years, I love that it is becoming more of a community space. There are some awesome events and workshops held here if you are interested in music, arts and culture. Definitely check out the Incubator area.
An enjoyable experience, we visited on Waitangi day and stayed a couple of hours.
Beautiful place with a whole old town, with train ride and visitation to an airplane inside.
Great place to explore and the cafe
is wonderful a must go to when at the village.
Great place to explore as there are different attractions you can see.
Very interesting place, makes you think about times before
We were searching for places to visit in Tauranga and nobody ever told us about this Historic Village. What a charming old western looking village! Featuring the past, it brings us the feeling we traveled back to the old days. Theater, coffee shops, radio station, chapel among other attractions make this place a mandatory visit. Will come back again this summer definitely!
As if you are in the Hollywood setting small cozy village with a few tiny streets, the pond... really worth to spend a half an hour. Souvenirs, cafes, very picturesque!
We just loved strolling through the village and looking at the stalls I bought a red dress I love it
Very cozy little place has amazing shops and it a nice place for memory lane
Wondercraft is fantastic. The whipped baker is delicious. Gem stores and clothing stores
Nice venue for market stalls etc.interesting area to look round
Theres a nice cafe to order treats to go so you can sit out by the stage and people watch people walking by and plenty of space for the kids to run around and practice handstands!! There are public toilets there too!
The village is interesting for the old buildings, but there is not much to bring people here for. I'd like to hang out in the men's shed but I am way too young.
The Incubator Creative Hub at the Historic Village is the best place in tauranga for creative community, art events, unique gifts and beautiful scenery!
Travel back in time to a cute NZ village. There is a market every 2nd Saturday. Worth a visit.
Great little place to walk around. Lovely old buildings could be a bit more lively.
Interesting! The oldest building in Tauranga was relocated there. Has nice places to do a picnic, and shops to buy beautiful things :)
This was awesome we loved theart gallery went to see the Ruahine art exhibition my nieces portrait was one in the collection.
Great little place. Great music, food and a cool vibe. Bargains to be had too!
A nice place to enjoy a cuppa and stroll around the grounds of the historic village. There are a few shops that sell various items and not too pricey. The cafe there has some great savouries.
The Historic village is a must see for anyone in the area. Check out the neat little barber shop that is in the village.
Underused derelict shame on Tauranga council for not making more of this place
Awesome place to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere. Plus a perfect place to grab a delicious bite to eat, you won't be disappointed.
Buildings are amazing..nice to walk through a little bit of history
Love the Historic Village. For a budding creative person this is the perfect environment. I cannot wait to spend more time here next year, hopefully in a studio space working on new and exciting projects! It's a place to be in Tauranga.
Lot of work going on and a lot of the shops / historic buildings not open. Fabulous mineral and gem shop. Parking difficult however if you wait a park does become free.
Love the cafe down in the village. The food was amazing!
Great place to go and have a little walk around. Possibly stop by for a cup of coffee at the cafe.
Got there after noon so everything was closing. Moring market over.
Pleasant when things are open. Often the shops are closed so little to do
Beautiful art and buildings with character. Lovely semi rural atmosphere
A quaint and arty pocket in tauranga. Well worth a leisurely stroll. Nice to see an area where the cultural scene thrives in such a beautiful little setting.
Awesome attraction. Thoroughly recommend The record roundabout for music nostalgia and music collectors.
Great place to relax and window shop. Great bakery and cafe on-site.
Cool place to have a walk around. Would be good for kids. It's just pretty simple.
Many years I have been attend there. When I got first job in art department there.
A haven away from the city. But don't be decieved by its tranquility - it is a hive of creative and community activity and ingenuity. A 'must see' when visiting Tauranga.
Wonderful place full of exciting little things to discover
Used to be Historic, is now creative/alternative. Most buildings closed or empty or on short hours on a mid May Wednesday. Men's shed best to visit.
Disappointing.
The best time to visit the Historical village is the weekend, especially when there is a market happening. Also a great place to go when there is a new artist showing in the small art gallery there. During the school holidays they hold childrens activities which you need to book for- they seemed very popular.
