Awesome tour, friendly staff, and generous samples...
Awesome tour, friendly staff, and generous samples. Remember to wear closed toe shoes or you'll have to borrow some rubber boots from the taproom.

came here a while ago and thought it was pretty cool. I loved that I can see how beer is made professionally. Their other drinks are pretty cool as well, (am not a beer drinker). I had a pink girlie one that they made with their homemade cane sugar which I loved. The place itself is nice too, I loved the layout and that it was all made out of wood. They have a bigger space in the back as well for people who want to sit down at eat, smaller tables for smaller groups and bar seating.
The tour was amazing, Chris was the best tour guide possibly ever.
Bit of a walk to get to but the tour is nice. Dress light since the place is a little hot. Great beer and fun stories await!
Had a great time on the tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the company and also a great guy. Overall great experience
Quite a mediocre brewery. Most beers are relatively average. The "all zeros" is amazing though.
Our tour guide Pete was excellent. He not only lead an amazing tour, but also picked up the the vibe of our bachelor party and provided a very custom and intentional experience. Could not of enjoyed it more. Thanks Goose Island!
Our tour guide, Chris was very nice and funny. He explained the brewing history of Goose Island. We did have to pay for the tour but while on the tour we received 3 full tasting sized glasses of beer and were given a Goose Island pint glass to take home! It was a great experience!
We had a great time on this tour! The beers were fantastic (generous samples were provided) and it was really neat to actually see the production facility. You can tell that Goose Island takes a lot of pride in what they do. Would highly recommend!
The best that can be seen in Chicago! It has to be a must see for tourists!
OK beer but the other brewery around the corner has a bigger bar area. Felt a bit crammed in there on a Saturday. Nowhere to sit or even stand.
I paid $ 12 for a tour. We showed the process of the beer factory and tasted different beers. At the end of the tour, I gave one glass of beer. It was a fun experience.
We had such a fun time on this tour. Dana was our guide and she was exceptional!! Super funny, knowledgable, and easy to interact with. We will definitely be back to grab beers at this location. Thanks Goose Island!
Brewery taproom done right. Long bar with open seating and merchandise to the side. Everything you'd expect. And of course the beer is great.
Block party Friday night. Music, beer, lots of people, and more beer. Great time with a friend. Tried 8-9 beers between us. Poured out a lot because there was too much. 6-8oz on specialty beers and 12-16 on "standards" (like the sour sisters!).
Had a great time in the Taproom. Good people, and a great vibe. Have to say my great experience was concrete after our tour with guide Eric F. Extremely knowledgeable in the company. He really made the trip for my friend and I. Will definitely be drinking more Goose Island after my experience.
My family and I did a Sunday afternoon (Father's Day) brewery tour with Omar. You could not beat the price of $12, as well as a souvenir cup to take home. Omar was wildly entertaining and gave us a great history of booth beer making and Goose Island Brewing Company. We had 4 generous pours to taste and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The taproom itself is very large and well kept. I will definitely return with friends for additional tours!
Nice small tap room, great rare varieties that you can only get here
10/10 would recommend going this tour! It s nice a cheap at $12 per person which includes 3 beer samples (the constantly change) and a glass goose island cup. Every time we come to the city we do the tour, it s always so nice to try all the delicious beer! The staff is always welcoming and knowledgeable.
Jonny is awesome - try his beer! Lost palate is hands down my fave! BRING IT TO FLORIDA
Great tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions that was asked.
This is the location to go to for goose island. They always have some sort of taproom only beer here and once a month, and usually more often, there is some sort of bourbon county variant on tap. Also, you can bring in your own food since they don't have any here.
Incredible vibe, awesome staff, and of course great beer. Definitely recommend the tour but book in advance since they fill up. $12 gets you 3 pours, behind the scenes, and a pint glass to take home.
Bought 5 bottles of BCS all are infected. Only 2 are actually covered by the recall. Terrible company, with terrible policies. This is what happens when you sell out to a massive conglomerate from Belgium. Avoid at all possible.
One of the most fun brewery tours I've ever had. Great history paired with amazing beer made it a fun afternoon. Check this place out!
If you're in Chicago and you live craft beer you have to check out this one of a kind brewery. Mixed crowd of young and old in the sampling tap room with tours available. Lots of variety of craft beers.
Went for the brewery tour, we were not disappointed. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They do have boots and disposable socks for people to wear on the tour, if you are wearing open toed shoes. Also their gift shop is awesome. Would definitely reccomended to anyone who loves their beer.
Amazing place to know the history of goose island and taste great beer! Absolutely a fun with friends together
I went to Goose Island brewery for a tour, then hung out after at the tap room for a couple beers. The tour guide was fantastic and so was the crew behind the bar. The beers, especially the rare one that I had, all were as good as I anticipated. Overall, it was a great visit to the brewery/taproom!!!
A must see place in Chicago for those who like good beer. They have some experimental beer that are sold it here, try it all! And if you book in advance you can do a tour into the facility for only $12 including 3 samples and a cup as gift. Totally recommend.
The Goose Island Beer Tour was amazing! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and made it fun throughout the experience. He gave you history on the beer and Chicago . Answered all the questions that were given to him. Will definitely do this again!
Go on the tour! It's inexpensive and very much worth it. Our guide was Megan, she was very enthusiastic and fun. The beers they give you on the tour are great as well.
Pretty cool. Alot of people though they need better seating
Great staff and atmosphere!!! The tour is totally worth it and the tapo room is very good for trying out many types of beers.
The tour is great, the beer is great, they have awesome merch... if you're nearby, stop in!
Tour guide was awesome, host at the front was gorgeous and the lady who chirped our friend for not being able to overcome his hangover literally made the tour. Thank you Goose Island!
Not impressed, after waiting for almost 10 minutes we walked out. Three out of the 4 bartenders were more interested in socializing amongst themselves than taking our order. Heading over to Revolution Brewing to spend our money.
Maddie is literally the life and soul of this place. She makes every trip worth it! Her knowledge of the beer, and overall attitude is worth the visit alone! Do everything all you can to book a tour with her, or enjoy her amazing presence at the bar. GO MADDIE!!!
I can highly recommend the tour. Loads of info, stories, and beer. As well as seeing different parts of the brewery, you get to go over the road to the barrel store with the wine barrels for aging the sours. You also get a free glass at the end of the tour. The place was packed due to them releasing a number of new beers, but I was still able to enjoy one after. I didn't get to check out the merch, but I wasn't after anything. Practical side... They don't serve food, apart from cheese and meat boards, but I understand you can bring your own. There are stairs on the tour but they seem to be able to accommodate you if you have trouble with them. Worth just checking first though. I didn't pre-book a tour, and was able to grab a ticket a few minutes before it started. But that's not always guaranteed. Definitely worth doing though!
Took the last tour for a Saturday night and it was fun. Our guide was informative and funny!
Dana and Jenn were superb hosts. The brewery tour was fun, interesting, and hilarious. Highly recommend! It was an awesome tour.
Such an incredible brewery. Ive visited this place the past 3 years in a row while on a brew tour (designed by myself) and it's easily been the highlight of the tour. Such friendly staff and really incredible beer. Very lucky to be able to have such a great experience each time. Love you guys!
I ve been here for drinks a dozen times but this was the first tasting tour. Went on the tour with family and friends and we had a blast! The beer was delicious, got a sneak peak into where the newest Goose Island beers are created and had the best tour guide Dave .
If you're a fan of the bourbon county series this is heaven. Both bottles and on tap with a cozy atmosphere.
The best taproom around. Good music.limites seating and just the freshest brewed beers.
Adan is the best guy! Spanish speaker also. The place is great! Do the tour if you can.
Did the beer tour, great host, knowledgeable staff. Great beer, what more could you ask for? Highly recommend.
Really cool taproom with a great selection of draft beers.
Tour was well worth it. Dave was great - very casual but informative which made for a fun hour! Got some beer and a pint glass out of it too. Well worth it.
Great place to go drink some great beers. Tour was cool too. Would go again to a different location
As a brewer is really sad to see how this place got really industrilized and is not about the custumer any more :(
I can't EVEN!! I came here after valentine's day with the wifey and let's just note that the staff from the door man and on was absolutely AMAZING. We started with the Barrel select stout followed by a Prop 19 aaaaaand the hits just kept coming. At the end of the day we went through multiple bottles, staff gave us glassware and even bought us a round to go. First time for us both being there and it was truly an exceptional experience. Even made friends and split a 14 Vanilla Rye bomber which was EXCELLENT. We are looking forward to going back to celebrate her birthday!! Thanks everyone!!
Great flights and tasting options! First time in Chicago and it was awesome getting to check out the taproom.
Great staff, very knowledgeable. Beer was fantastic
Excellent gem tucked away in an airy, low foot traffic area, which was very quiet on a Sunday. The tour was very interesting, including several samples, and many colorful stories. our guide was a lot of fun. The bar area and sidewalk patio areas are top notch with plenty great beers and food that can be ordered for delivery. We got tacos from the truck outside, though. If you are into beer, don't miss this place!
Extremely packed, yet only took a minute to get another beer. Staff is amazing.
The Goose Island Tour was a lot of fun! It was a good balance of information, shared in a very understandable way. Dana was a fabulous tour guide with an ease of answering questions and making everyone laugh. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone that likes beer (or knowledge).
The tour was engaging and informative about brewing, Goose Island, and the Chicago brewing scene, in general. The beer, itself, ranged from outstanding to revelatory. Great tour guide, fun setting, awesome beer: what s not to like?
Great beer and prices! A bit small so it can feel crowded at times.
Bourbon County is amazing and is worth visiting; however, it would be nice if there wasn t a major drain infestation dive bombing my $50 beer the entire time. Also, the men s bathroom is REALLY gross.
Terrible service, only 4 people at the bar and they kept taking my glass but not asking me what I wanted next, only had 3 half pours in the afternoon. Bartenders talking with each other, on their phones and not paying attention. It was also wierd to watch them pour foamy beers and dumping about an entire extra beer just to get a pint full, seems like they need some training. We're visiting many breweries and I didn't expect Goose Island to be near the bottom.
Good Beer, arrive 10 mins after opening it was pack, small & long wait .
Great beers on tap that they don't sell outside the brewery.
Nice atmosphere and great beer! used to go there with friends and do some beer tasting
Tour was good. tried 3 beer
In restaurant there was no vegetarian food choices but overall good experience
I would recommend the tour. It's a great deal especially since you get three samples of beer and a pint glass included in the price. They have a lot of interesting beers and there's a bar where you can order more to try after the tour. The whole place has a fun atmosphere so whether you want to learn more about beer or just hang out it's a good place to go.
Service had attitude
Beer was good
Jen was super informative, she did an outstanding job. We learned so much! I m not sure how Jen does it, she was upbeat and never tired out. Impeccable hospitality. I have always loved Goose Island but I never expected it to be this good. I cannot wait to do this tour again!!!! The entire Goose Island team was wonderful, thoughtful and they really know their stuff. This has inspired to try more Goose Island beers and not just my old favorites. Keep up the excellent work!!!
Went for the brewery tour. Had a great time, learned a lot, had an awesome tour guide (Melissa), and tasted some great beers! Will be headed back!
This was our first time going on this brew tour. The tour guide was very intelligent and answered all of our many questions. He kept us entertained the whole tour and was very fun to be around. This tour was very cheap, and you even get a free glass Goose bottle at the end! Worth your time and money!
Nice taproom, with a cool view of the inside of the brewery and rotating draft selection. However, one of the things I was most excited about when visiting Chicago was getting to have some Bourbon County Stout right at the source, and I was very disappointed that they only serve it once a month, on what they call black Friday.
The staff was super nice though, their beers interesting, and my disappointment was mostly mitigated.
Chris our guide was very funny and highly knowledgeable. Great tour, great beer and a great price. It was a well informed and funny Brewery tour with beer, whats not to like!
Easy walk in the neighborhood, good choose for a flight.
The taproom is really cool with a lot of Goose Island beers that you can only drink there. The tour is $12 and definitely worth it. The tour guide was really knowledgeable, and you also get three samples along with a free glass. You can then drink some more with a lot of different options to choose from.
