Definitely worth the visit for the bourbon county release but be prepared for it to be packed. Normally their selections have a few interesting brews out of the 10ish or so offerings each week. Love the decor and the ambience in the bar though. A tad small and like a buck more expensive per beer than some of the other microbreweries in the city. Bartenders are great, bathroom has got some funky sink/dryer thing going on but has nice views into the brewery!

Not my favorite beer but by far my favorite tasting room. Very roomy, good sized tasting menu - not too much or too little. Friendly staff and everyone just having a good time. Laid back and comfortable ambiance.

Have always loved their beers even before they sold. I had never been to one of their tap room but at 4:30pm on a Sunday when they were barely over half full, it took nearly 10minutes before we were actually able to order a beer.

Love the beer but wow, I guess from now on it will be easier and cheaper to get it at the store around the corner than pay higher prices, slow service and an Uber. Hopefully this is just a bad day and they were shirt staffed.

Great beer. Not the best in America, but great for what they do. Lots of beer available, but many bottles are overpriced. Doesn t have the corporate stink I was expecting.... which is a very good thing

We had a blast with Dana. She was very knowledgeable of the brewery and the history of Goose Island. She made the tour a fabulous time with fun and interesting information. Would highly recommend booking a tour with Dana! Thanks so much for a memorable bachelor party! - Patchelor party gang

Brew: Where to start? This place is amazing. They offer 2-hour tours with a souvenir pint glass (reservations and tickets needed and can be purchased through their website) and a beautiful taproom to enjoy their staple beers like Goose Island IPA and 312 wheat ale. But this is where things get even better. They also brew up exclusive taproom beers to try. I don't mind being a guinea pig since can't try any of these beer anywhere in the world or even down the block at the nearest bar. They welcome feedback on their creations so maybe one day they can be bottled and sold as a new seasonal. I tried a wet hop pale ale that involves picking the hops and shipping them overnight and throwing them right into the boil to create the sweetest aroma that will set off every taste bud on your tongue. It was Amazing! They also sell brewing ingredients so you can make your own beer at home. You can find some great hops and malt to purchase.

The tour was fun. It was $12 and you have to purchase tickets online ahead of time because they sell out. You taste 3 beers on the tour and receive a souvenir pint glass at the end of the tour. You get some great insight on some of their recipes and history. Worth doing if you have the time.

Came here on a last second decision for something to do in Chicago. My wife and I were the only ones on the tour and Nick was fantastic. Sat down at the bar for a few beers, and in seconds felt like we had just walked down the street from our home. Felt welcome and at home. Whole crew was great! Can t wait to come back and bring Bret!!

Fantastic tour, informative and hilarious guide, and great bartenders. I highly recommend a visit. Even if you don't have time for a tour enjoy a draft in the Tap Room and grab some sweet merch!

The host was great! - She provided the group with quick history throughout the tour and had such a positive attitude. The samples provided were amazing! She even let me taste an alternative option. Overall it was a very good time!

The brewery tour was amazing!! Me and my girlfriend flew from the UK to visit the brewery and we were not disappointed!! The tour guide was both knowledgeable and hilarious which made it even more fun. Wish would could have stayed longer for a few more drinks but it's an excuse to go back!!

Great beer and the tour was excellent with personal touches. We felt very privileged having the creator of 'Lost palate' be our guide and appreciated the samples as well. Highly recommended!

10/10 reccomend. The tour is $12 and you get 3 sample beers and a glass. There is a gift shop by the bar. The tour guide was super nice and funny. Got to try my first sour beer, Sofie. We're definitely stocking up before going back to WI.

One of the best brew houses in the city of Chicago! I love the fact that they are constantly changing their beer selections and create exclusive beers. Yet they keep their best sellers and favorites but still make room to let their customers try different selections whether it's time of year or a different brew. Absolutely love this place! Also shout out to Crystal for being such a great representative of their company with her awesome smile and great personality!

Went in not knowing what to expect since GI was bought by InBev. I was pleasantly surprised.

The decor was great. The stuff was attentive and most importantly... the beer was great. They even had some BCS vintages I had never had and can t get where I am from.

I spent more than I intended to but it was worth every penny. Would definitely repeat.

Great place for weekend brunch or lunch. Have some hair off the dog with the rhubarb beer which is crisp and great with any item on the menu! I highly recommend the Sriracha chicken sandwich

Had a great time here with my friends! We did the 4 o'clock tour and had a blast! $12 for three halfs and a pint class is crazy good. Most of the half's there are $3 so you really do get your money's worth.

Staff was kind and nice, and didn't take a long time to get a beer. Definitely will come back!

Only downside is that it's far away from the heart of Chicago.

Loving the tap room! It's georgeous. I went on a brewery tour here and it was awesome! It was an actual brewery, not just a room with some storage tanks in it. The beer selection was great too; they had a lot of speciality brews that are only available there. I will totally be back!!

Amazing experience at the Goose Island Brewery. We came all the way from Chile, and had wonderful Jen as the tour guide. She was really cool, taught us a lot about beer, Chicago, and the brewery. The tour includes 3 -huge- beer samples, plus you can have some more at the beautiful bar they have there in Fulton St. Don't miss this tour!!!

I love Goose Island ! Great time. Tour was short and simple, good amount of time and laughs. The vibe in the bar area is super relaxed and chill. Definitely a place I could pop in for a beer with friends if around the area.

This review is only from the point of view of the driver ... and it sucks. Very narrow dock. Cars on the other side are blocking turns. And everything is on one of the downtown streets. When you in dock have of the street is blocked. And directions are good to get to the address but if you drive sleeper cab you won't be able to back in ... when you get 290 west . Pass the Ashland. Take Western north and then Fulton east ... You save yourself a trouble ...
But still ... it sucks big time ...

Great beer, great tour, great time. The guide was super informative and very entertaining.

For $12 you get a free beer glass and 3 tastings as well as learning about the history of the brewery and some types of beer that they pioneered.

It's definitely worth stopping in for an hour or two and it's just a quick ride from the riverwalk or Millennium Park.

Inside is very modern and cozy but has a small case of a corporate feel. Beer selection is solid, and it s awesome you can get vintage bourbon county bottles (be prepared to pay though). Being Goose Island, the total size of the tap room seems small so it fills up fast, but there are also plenty of spots to stand. Service was good even while packed. 16 tap handles so there should be something for everyone to enjoy. Probably not a place I would frequent since the location is in a mostly industrial area with very little else around it. If you re a goose island or bourbon county stout fan this is a must stop.

The place is father but the beer leaves a little to be desired despite its variety, the service of the waiters is not as good as they are pressing you and in addition to having to pay before consuming

Great tour, knowledgeable tour guide. Very sophisticated operation compared to other breweries I've been too. Tap room had a good selection and was packed. Loved the Bourbon County beers!

At the end of the day, I didn't really care who owns them. Taproom was a really cool space and almost felt like a coffee shop. Our tour guide was awesome. You get to see the original brew house, then all of the new stuff, a room where they do their wild yeast beers (Matilda, etc), and then they take you across the street to their original barrel room (I now know why BCBS was hard to get, and why it's less hard to get now they have a huge new barrel room).

You get to sample beers along the way which is nice. You end up back in the taproom and you get a pint glass as a souvenir. They had a few taproom exclusive beers on tap which was awesome. They also had BCBCS on tap at the time, and that was fantastic. Overall a great place and I wish I was local to here so I could visit more often.

The brewery had a special event planned at the time I went. Which meant they closed two hours earlier than their website says. This is fine if you're a local or if you have an extra day to spend in the area. However, I was visiting from out of California. I rushed and paid for an uber to get there an hour before their posted closing time. Only to find a posted paper saying they're closed. They should have a calender posted on their website to indicate any time change. I'm a fan of the beer and regret to have to give a single star but they wasted my money and my time.

Give their tour a shot and or just come by for a drink. For $12 bucks the tour is a steal, the free glass at the end is worth that much. Beer itself is great and there is a ton of variety.

The tour was informational and a nice way to spend an hour on the weekend. You get a little to drink and also get to learn more about a local brewery. They have a great selection of craft beers and are constantly putting out new and inventive flavors.

If you're in the area, definitely take a tour!
