Horrible food horrible staff, the staff really needs to find other positions because you get the impression that they just don t wanna be here or to deal with anybody who happens to have a mental health issue. Found a moth and hair in my food. Blew out my veins I m trying to regulate medicine I am not a drug user. they only give you 30 minutes of time with your electronics and they don t care if somebody in your family has died. They violate your basic human rights. If there s any other hospital you can go to try and get there, they are just here looking at you like you were some sort of a cash cow. I think prisoners get more time outside and we do no more than one hour of fresh air per day. No visitors, no food brought in from the outside if you have any special dietary problems they will just plow over you and not care. Extremely disappointed in a facility as new as this, can t keep staff. They are underpaid, and very underwhelming.

Horrible management, forced their employees to give them a 5 star review even though the own employees are miserable. The higher ups treat their workers like a number. The people who run this place are disgusting and should not be the ones in charge whatsoever. Recommend to avoid their services.

My daughter is in this facility she will right a review but as a parent on the out side. This was not the place especially when I was directly told that she has family and they should be responsible for getting her home .what on there backs Family did not get her there . The nurse said they would get her back to Boston Lauren Shay demanded not asked if a a family member could come get her . but insisted that she has family so they should be responsible picking her up from facility. I asked Lauren Shay when you figure it out would you reach out to me her mom the travel arrangements. She said my daughter would . No help at all so that s how I know my daughter got no kind of help

During my one-week stay here, I met some truly incredible people and made excellent memories. Only problem is, none of that had anything to do with TaraVista itself. The facility is aggressively subpar, with your hour a day under the sweltering sun in a pint-sized courtyard being something of a relief compared to the heavily air conditioned iceboxes that are the bedrooms. For context, I m 16 and thus stayed in the 16-25 wing, which from what I ve heard is actually an improvement on the other corners of TaraVista. This is all not to mention how apathetic most of the staff are, acting more like underpaid junior high teachers than mental health professionals. The only reason I ve given TaraVista three stars is the human connections I made within its walls. None of us liked the place we were, but we loved each other. I healed, in the end, not because of where I was, but the others losing their minds with me.

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE... And here is my TERRIFING EXPERIENCE...

I actually thought of obtaining an attorney so that THIS NEVER HAPPENS TO ANYONE ELSE AGAIN!!

I was admitted to TERAVISTA (by choice) for major depression and suicidal thoughts.

At some point they thought it would be in my best interest to take me off all my medications. Which put me into complete delerium. I didn't even know I had a daughter. It was without a doubt THE SCARIEST THING I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED.

My family was also terrified that I would never be back as myself again.

I was then sent to Nashoba Valley Medical Center and was admitted to the ICU and was so very gratefully brought back to myself.

So I would A STRONGLY RECOMMEND to find ANYWHERE ELSE TO GO

I have been hospitalized all through out my life and this is by far the best experience I have ever had. The staff and care I received were outstanding, so much so I would have stayed longer if I could have. I really cannot express how grateful I am for the experience I had there. Much love to them all, and I wish more people received this level of care in other facilities.

A family member had a bad experience there. Supposed to be a 3 day stay to get meds in order. It started with the admitting physician misreading/misunderstanding their meds and prescribing an incorrect medication regiment. 3 or 4 days later (Ie nothing happens when you arrive on a Friday and people aren t working for the weekend) meds were changed to another regiment which was hastily changed without very good reason (I m being deliberately vague here) - which turned out to be not just incorrect - but extremely harmful and detrimental. (It took months to figure this out and course-correct). Absolutely no individual therapy - and any group therapy was more just psycho education which was mostly pointless, and really just used to fill time. The care team was very hard to get a hold of (people on the floor answering phones either did not speak English, or had a very hard time understanding my simple requests - hanging up with incomplete messages - requiring MANY callbacks, eventually getting a front office person to intercede) - but the care team was unable to answer even the simplest questions like How long do these meds typically take to show a change . And of course, the food was gross to the point of almost being inedible.

This place should be avoided like the plague. My child went in for suicidal thoughts, the diagnosis "not suffering from depression". This was such a bad experience that I fully intend on filing a complaint with the state.

Another lovely incident that occurred during his time there was when a staff member walked into a female patient's room immediately after they had gotten out of the shower. This is in an adolescent ward of all places. This would be unacceptable anywhere, but with the age ranges there, it is far worse.

This place should be shut down.
