An amazing company. They do so much for the community.

Charles Town - Management lacking in professionalism education, border line abusive.. Nothing is good enough for this place.. Great customer's and co-workers, but a slave mentality for employee's. I am a hard worker, but did not want a new career since I retired.. Just wanted a couple days a week.. Ha! Its all about what the goodwill needs, not the employee's.. They can't keep help because of their attitudes, so they squeeze the remainder of life out of the elder's working there!! If you want to be treated like child, this is the place for you.

I won't go into details about how our oven rack got donated. It just did. And it didn't dawn on me until making Sunday morning Swedish pancakes the next day. My hubby wanted to go and get it back from the Burhans store. I knew better- for sure it was fine into the distribution system already. But I'm always ready for a car ride and we showed up at Burhans right after they opened. But yesterday's truck was already gone to the Penn Ave center. So we drove out there. The young man who answered our knock on the "employees only" door was very friendly and directed us to the front entrance. The manager explained about the trucks being unloaded and things might be gone already. But she took our contact information anyway. A couple hours later she called! They had it! We offered a few bucks to pay for our "donation" but she didn't take it. super nice people to deal with. And I'm super happy we didn't have to find a new oven rack.

The outlet store is closed permanently. The website does not say this.

They get 2 stars for attempting to help those with barriers to success, but deserve 1 because by God they are robbing people blind and are a borderline sweatshop inside. A lot of apathy towards basic logistics and employee relations. Just because they employ people with barriers, doesn't grant them the ability to treat adults like children, which I've seen.

Good place to work. Helps people with special needs.
