I have had the pleasure of being a regular visitor at The Loft over the last year. I have discovered a new appreciation thanks to the talented artists featured at The Loft and the charming personality of the Curator, Heather Carroll. The Loft is a lovely place to visit as they often have live music, generally every weekend several artists are painting on site and you can chat w them and learn about the insights for their work. If you have not visited yet, do yourself a favour and come to admire the work of a large group of talented artists.

Loft is a cozy elegant welcoming space with 2 floors, set in the centre of the Thornbury .For anyone who is new to art or a connoisseur. Throughout the year the gallery holds workshops & community participation of festivals etc. If you enjoy engaging in the process of the paintings, the owner Heather & the artists participate in the space. It is over all definitely a place worth a visit.

The Loft Gallery really should update their business hours on their search. I drove all the way there on Wednesday to find out they aren't even open on that day. Also, google shows they are open from 11 to 5 pm on Thursday but their sign on the door says 12 to 4 pm.

This is a very nice gallery. The art is displayed nicely and there's ample room to move around and see everything from various distances. The art classes offered here are well-executed and good value for the money. The owner is enthusiastic and helpful. The annual Square Foot Show is a great success.
I was there last weekend and thought that the art was incredible. The new space is gorgeous and the fact that they have live artist's painting and you can talk to them face to face - AMAZING! A great weekend destination.
