I love Tangerino, it s so beautiful inside the vibe is so calming and energetic. a perfect place to hang out with friends or a romantic date. I love hookah the drinks are great, great place to socialize and meet people also. Definitely come here for special events and it way better then going to a nightclub.

One of my favorite restaurants and night spots of all time! This place is two floors. The top floor has the restaurant and the bottom floor contains the hookah lounge. The entire place is outfitted with furniture and drapes, etc. from the Morocco so as soon as you walk in you feel like you're taken away to a different city. I always try and get one of the tables with the private tents. In addition, the service I have had every time I have come here has been just amazing. The staff really takes pride in it's work and service.

As for the menu, wow! It's almost impossible to go wrong. I haven't made a bad choice yet. Among my favorites are the Marguez Tangierino & Calamari Tagra for appetizers and the Boneless Short Ribs for an entree. No matter which entree you pick though make sure you pair it with the Seven Vegetable Couscous & Zaatar Asparagus. All food comes with complimentary mint tea but you definitely don't want to stop there for drinks as they have an extensive wine list. You can't go wrong with any of the Shiraz's but my favorite is the Tempranillo Dehesa Gago.

Your night doesn't have to end there though as they have a hookah lounge down below, called Koullshi, that has a full bar, cigars, and of course the hookah. All the furniture and tables have been imported down here as well and if you go there Thursday through Sunday they have belly dancing for live entertainment. Additionally, I recommend combining two different flavors if you are going to smoke the hookah such as Strawberry and Apple.

All in all, you will always see value and a great night out when you visit Tangierinos every time. And even if you can only go to the restaurant or just the hookah lounge, you won't be sorry.

I think the food here is pretty good, but it's rather overpriced. First off, the restaurant decor is kitschy with all the Moroccan furnitures, curtained booths, and belly dancers (yes, they have a belly dancer). People kept telling me the cocktails here are amazing, and honestly, they're ok. They're pretty easy to drink, but nothing too special. For $13 a cocktail I'd rather drink at Drink or The Hawthorne. The food menu is divided into traditional Moroccan and "modern" (think tuna tartar, steak, etc). I had the seared foie gras which was quite good and not too expensive compared to other foie gras dishes aroudn town ($19). Then I had a dish with lamb shank and couscous. It was good, the lamb was pretty tender, but it wasn't the best I've ever had and while the portion was pretty big, the price was a bit steep. I think overall it's a fun place with good food, a good place to come and have fun with friends. I'm just picky about dining out, though, and if I'm spending $70+ on dinner and one drink, I feel like I could do better.

Its a nice environment; however, the server was rude. He basically kicked us out saying the hookah last 45-1 hour. Keep in mind we been there for 1.5 hours. Basically saying we cant chill there for more than that. I don t appreciate that. I gave 3 stars for the place, took 2 off for the server.

We had a great evening. All food was delicious from appetizer sampler to baklava and Morrocan tea. The lamb was particularly well prepared. Nice atmosphere. Newly re-opened so minor details in progress. Good bar selections. Service was excellent.

We reserved the party room for my wife s birthday last Saturday. The drinks and food were awesome and the service was very good too. Our experience was very different from a couple of months back when they mixed up the orders and took a long time to serve the food. The management is doing a good job streamlining their operations as things seem to have improved dramatically.

The perfectly mixed drinks, a very entertaining belly dancer and the exotic ambiance of the place made this an experience that I would like to go back for again!

Called the restaurant and were assured they had a table. When we arrived we were sent downstairs in the lounge... The service was terrible and slow.. The place was full of cigar smoke and dark. Not the restaurant we wanted. Food OK but not worth the high bill, for example 8 dollars for a bottle of water.

Absolutely terrible!!!

Absolutely terrible!!!
By far the worst restaurant in this area. We had a party of 6. Ordered the several appetizers:
Beets and Feta which lacked any cheese
Brussels sprouts which were burnt
Baba Ghanoush which was bland.
As for the main dish most of us had the Couscous Royal which was ok but tasted like it wasn t made fresh.

The service was also very slow.

Overall it was a terrible experience and we will not be returning.

Total for 6 people with apps and main course: almost $400 including tips.

It was not what it used to be. The music selection was mostly Spanish with here an there an Arabic song. There are no belly dancers anymore, either. Overall still good place to hang out, but not what it used to be.

Terrribly over priced hookah at $40 dollars for a basic flavor and running up to $100!!!! Decided to try it out and service was awful! They don t even have disposable hoses which is so much more sanitary! Don t waste your time or your money here.

Great Moroccan food. The restaurant part is pretty nicely decorated with some private booth's available. Service is painfully slow but definitely worth the wait for the best Moroccan in town.

Very small and over priced portions, the food is just ok. The music is to loud both up stairs and way to loud down stairs. The hookah bar down stairs is just ridiculously loud. The decor is about all this place has going for it. IMHO not worth the time.

Negatives:

Negatives:
Staff are really up your nose as if they want you to leave ASAP, one waiter in particular literally got the checks with out any of us ordering it... And when asked who ordered it he said something along the line, "I asked earlier if anyone wants to order and no one ordered", please keep in mind our bill was about 500$ it's not like we were those types of people hogging the place and not ordering, (also after that incident we still ordered more stuff it wasn't like we were actually done)

No easy parking (but so are most places around, so not a biggie)

One food order took about 35 to 40 mins easily

Starbuzz Hookah is 50$!!

Staff refused to split the ~500$ check

Positives:
The place has a nice vibe and nice location

Definitely come here for a different experience. I admittedly didn't try any of the food but went for the hookah lounge downstairs. They definitely have the whole middle eastern motif going on, complete with waitress belly dancers. The servers were very attentive and our party enjoyed the hookah. It looked like some people came for events and it seemed like they were very accomodating. Definitely priced drinks. Beware of the Smoke though!!! People have smoke cigars here, a warning for the allergy prone.

I feel really bad writing this, but this place lost its way. They tried to modernize it, and it looked like that was going well. But then a small but vocal group of people complained about the move away from traditional Moroccan. So they went back. I was just in there a few weeks ago, where are all of the people who complained about the changes now? The place was empty.

The worst customer service that I ever seen. The manager was so rude they kicked out the man he didn't order more than $50.
Prices are extremely high and changing the rules whatever they want. Last time they did a minimum order $50 per person. We have ordered the hookah from menu $40 and they bill it for $60.
Don't go to this place they will rip you off!!!

Tried the vegetable couscous and that was pretty good. The hookah however was okay at best and at $40 for a basic hookah that's not okay... They even count the number of pieces of coal you use so they can charge you for extra coals after 2 coal refreshes... Even though the hookah is $40... Extremely overpriced

Tangerino's is a great hookah bar with some awesome cocktails and Mediterranean food to boot. This place is a bit expensive, but the quality is there, justifying the price. This is the best place for hookah and chill in the Boston area.

Tangierino is good in a can't-take-it-very-serious...

Tangierino is good in a can't-take-it-very-seriously, why-is-this-so-expensive sort of way. The two of arrived around 8 PM on a Friday, sans reservations, but were luckily able to nag one of the last spots in the upstairs dining room. We were seated on a comfy couch surrounded by overhangin curtains and pillows. With the drapery, rugs, and tinted lamps, the atmosphere is romantic and comfortable but a little awkward since we're almost sitting side by side and looking out into the middle of the room instead of across the table and looking at each other.

A few minutes later, the lights are dimmed, the music is cranked up, and a bell-ringing belly dancer starts to wiggle around the room. This is more uncomfortable than it is entertaining, as the lighting and noise make it nearly impossible to continue our conversation. We're forced to watch this scantily-clad hip-shaker go around the room. Do we make eye contact? Do we pretend to ignore her? Luckily after 5 or 10 minutes the show is over, and we can peruse the menu.

My dining partner spent some time in Morocco and wanted to try some traditional tagines. He told the waiter what he was looking for since the menu items didn't look familiar, and the waiter let him know of a chicken and lamb dish that sounded similar. The Tagine Djaj was spinach-filled chicken with lemony sauce and green olives with a side of couscous which came in a separate bowl. The Couscous Royal consisted of a sweet lamb shank served with a filo-wrapped merguez (a kind of spiced sausage) and vegetable couscous.

Both meats were moist and tender and the entrees came with a generous mound of couscous, so we took a good amount home. My dining partner claimed that he enjoyed the flavors, and the dishes overall seemed authentic but was disappointed that the tangines were not served with the lids on. There was no "ta-da!" moment when they appeared, as there is in Morocco. I'm also sure that the prices aren't this high in Morocco, as each one was nearly $30. Considering that most of the meal comprised of filling couscous, I honestly don't know why the food costs this much. Maybe the money also goes toward the awkward belly dancer's salary.

DONT BOTHER! I didnt get to try the place and never will. My fiance wanted to take me out and do something different. Always interested in trying something new. Let say I didn't make it past the entrance. No one really greeted us even though the guy that was working at the door was standing there talking to a drunk buddy. We figured it was a wait since there was another couple standing there waiting before us. A group of men came in and that was it they proceeded to go in on their own the "drunk buddy" told them they'd have to wait because it was at capacity and let's say it got distasteful really fast. I left immediately. The worker was then tussling with his drunk friend outside. We just stood there no apologies for the incident, ,nothing.
Not to mention NO parking! We did valet mind you we were there only 5min. After waiting 10min for him to get our car He still required that we pay the $20 fee "I dont work for the hookah lounge it's a separate company" Not worth it, very unproffesional. We are not cheap I would have still given him $10 for the trouble but definitely not worth full price when we never went in.
