It's amazing the views you find when watercycling down the river, seeing the sunset. Just a warning: it's easier cycling down the river towards the airport than it is cycling back up again!
We went for 2 hour single bikes and it was very enjoyable. You get decent exercise, sun, and as much fun as you can derive from the water. I recommend bringing sunscreen, water, and snacks so while you're out you aren't wishing you could dock on Riverwalk. We're going to bring nets and bags to catch the very little trash you see in the water too.
Great place to take a date for something different or to take the family and even the family dog. The the water bikes and the kayaks, or biyacks as they call them, are great exercise and a nice way to see the city from the water for a low cost per hour rental.
There is also boat dock parking nearby, the convention center is across the street, and The Sail Restaurant and Bar is on the other side. So this is a great location with plenty of good parking to come and spend a nice day on the water.
Get the kids away from the computer, their phone or tablet, and the TV, and get them outdoors doing something family friendly while also getting exercise. It's a fun time for all.
Great time today, kids had a lot of fun. A way to social distance but be in the action. Staff wore mask the whole time, cleaned the bikes in front of us. Real stable, not difficult to drive and maneuver. Little kids (under 8) may struggle, but older kids would have fun. Unique views of our beautiful city.

Staff was very friendly and the kayak I used was in good condition.
$30 for an hour rental, easy to get on and off the vehicle, you never get wet. There is a compartment to put belongings in to keep them dry, also cup holders. Lifevest provided. I felt like I was pedaling for my life and going nowhere! Rode along the Riverwalk and shared the waterway with jet skis and boats. I think once was enough for me. I'll try the little motorboats next time. I love that whole area on the Riverwalk.
Really enjoyed the water bike. Rachel was super nice and did a great job explaining what I needed to know. The bike was very stable and no concern of tipping over.
First off, for Yelpers, you get 10% off so remember to check in! It covers the tax and that's about it but anything is better than paying 100% right? At first, we missed this place because it wasn't labeled or marked so we went to the right of the convention center but it's to the left at the dock. I've never been to the dock so I had no idea. We walked up to the dock and met the employee there and she was friendly. She took my card and ID in case we decided to run off with the water bikes but that was understandable. They had bike covers so you're not sitting on a super hot seat so that was neat. She also offered us a water bottle at no charge and gave us a quick demo and safety rules to go over. There is a place to put your phone and wallet so that was awesome and I didn't have to worry about it getting wet. We took off and man, it was nice! Well, at least for the first half and then we got to the University of Tampa and was already tired. It's definitely a workout and it was a hot day, low 90s but the sun was definitely out. Even with the bike seat at the lowest setting, it got uncomfortable so we had to keep standing from time to time. We only did 30 minutes but the lowest time is an hour. I couldn't wait to get back to the dock! It's definitely once in a lifetime opportunity that I won't be doing again but you have to definitely do it once!
Such a great experience! I wish I could go biYaking more often. Ariel helped us and was excellent! Thank you Ariel. You really have a lot of freedom out on the water. It was fun exploring. I turned on some 311 on my phone in the dry box and enjoyed the ride. Highly recommended!
