I have been discharged after spending 5 months on the waiting list and the service not trying properly to contact me. i.e. calling form a private number, not sending emails.

I have been told I will speak to a manager but this service is awful, the time spent on a waiting list is not helpful and you cannot get help when you need it. If you have to look elsewhere or go private

Just wanting to say happy anniversary since my first referral....... 12 months since my gp refered and still waiting. These guys must be laughing all the way to the bank as they bleed funds from the NHS without any results. All I get are texts saying we haven't forgotten but if I want to cancel call. No help at all.

Never thought I would write this a month or so after being here, but here I am. I suffered from psychological trauma that left me chronically suicidal with a hard time expressing how it impacted me (due to the way I am) and by the time I actually got help (9 months later) I managed to partly overcome it on my own by which time it was my turn for help. The therapist I had barely had any empathy when telling her about how I had previously felt chronically suicidal, came off as bellitelling and the boss of the place apparently is even worse and only allows people who "meet specific criteria" to be a part of the service. They may have actually better therapists out there but the experience was not good and it is a miracle I'm still alive today. Maybe the people there should get more schooled on complex ptsd.

Would Not recommend this place. Absolute waste of NHS funds. They made me feel worse than I already was. The people you talk to they don t care. They are there to read off of scripts as a robot without thinking that there is a Human Being on the other end. Plus they are not trained and definitely are not knowledgeable. THEY DON T CARE! simple

13 months on the waiting list for EMDR therapy. Finally get an appointment only to find the therapist is not trained in EMDR. 10 years I've spent bouncing around this service all with similar results. They are not fit for purpose

For the 5th time i have recieved a discharge letter, after "failing to attend appointments". Talking changes were actually calling me ,before the designated appointment time. I am a university student meaning that if i am in a seminar, i cannot leave an hour early. The time stated should be the time of the phone call ,not an hour before . I tried to get back in contact by ringing talking changes office, and was unable to get through to anyone. The software containing the modules, was very problematic. It kept crashing whilst trying to complete the modules, aswell as access problems. I completed the modules i was set whilst practicing the techniques, and i was still discharged. This is the 5th time now, i really hoped for a better experience. The modules i found were also very poor , considering i had been on a waiting list for 5 months. I will now have to try the private route,as i am still very much struggling with my anxiety.

I don t really know where to start with this service.

I was added to a trauma counselling waiting list and asked to attend CBT last year. I attended a few sessions, but get that this type of support wasn t beneficial to me, so I left. I was discharged from the trauma counselling because I didn t attend all of the CBT sessions. I wasn t told this until I called a few months ago to check how the waiting list was going. To say I was furious is an understatement.

I was then made to go through the questionnaires again, and told I would be on the waiting list again. This time I was told that the list should be a lot shorter, apparently they have employed more counsellors. I was also told that I was to receive a text each month to check in - that s never happened. I was also told I would be sent an online pack to complete to prepare me for counselling- that never came either.

I ve been lucky enough to have a massively supportive husband, because if I was left on my own without any support, I don t know what I would have done. It s an absolute shambles of a service and I will now have to give up and spend my money on private counselling. What a waste of the NHS funding.

A little advice to anyone who needs this service : Go private if you can afford it.
