The details are continually emerging as my spouse ...

The details are continually emerging as my spouse is still there. As a spouse of an addict, I cannot thank Talbott enough for the love and support that we have received. Not only have they given the tools my spouse has needed, they have given me a new perspective on the mind of an addict. They have helped me understand the recovery I have needed, in family week to weekly group. The Doctors have helped my spouse beyond what I ever could imagine. Recovery is life. If you need help, or have a loved one that needs help...this isn't a gold mine....it is a safe place. Beyond anything I could have imagined for my family.

Very disappointed in this facility and its management. Asking for help is a giant step in the right direction, however, receiving the appropriate help is another ball of wax. Rooming a twenty something heroin and meth addict (who was actively withdrawing and hallucinating) with a 60+ year old with alcoholism is nothing but a total disaster waiting to happen. The $30,000+ price tag they demand up front is another inconsiderate money grab from vulnerable patients.
I could never recommend this facility nor its staff to anyone who sincerely wants help in a safe and HIPPA compliant facility.

Don't come here unless you enjoy being ripped off. They will play you and if they think you have the cash lie and say they don't take your insurnace, just like fake news cnn lies, and they will eat up every dime, while taking everyone else's insurnace. Illegal. I call for an investigation

First let me say that Talbott saved my sons life but not without a price. Like any parent in this situation we were willing to do anything to get him help. He had a DUI before going there and they promised that they had someone to help deal with it. He got in trouble for talking to a girl and they took up his court sheet that recorded his AA classes. I asked numerous times about this but they lost it. Also for talking to girls his stay was extended which was fine but no one told us that it would cost us another $8,900.00 for 2 weeks. Because he talked to girls he was changed from a female case manager to a male in which the impact letter I wrote to him was never presented to him I also brought this up several times before his discharge but nothing ever came of it. They will also promise to find you doctors and sober living places before discharge but they don't so do your homework and be ready yourself. The worst is that the pompous director of the young adult program was arrested for drugs not 3 weeks after my son left there at which point my son also relapsed. I feel like I should get a partial refund for all the unmet promises they spout. Also , a gym membership is included but good luck getting the money back from that after it's charged to your credit card. They pass the buck on any complaint you have and they will not follow up. I have more bills from them and my son has been out almost 2 months. Considering a lawyer at this point. Do your homework! I promise all this is true and I have records of every conversation I had with any person there. I would bet there are much better places. We know of a family who had a loved one go through there and after review of their bill it dropped to less than half of what they said was owed. I'm having our detailed statement reviewed by my accountant. Good luck but look at other places

I came to Talbott in May of 2007, broken, bruised and almost dead from my addiction. Was it scary? Yes. Getting sober usually is. But it is a safe place full of loving, caring amazing people who will do anything to help someone. Were there rules? Lots of them. But I needed structure and discipline. In no way does it even resemble jail. You live in apartments separate from the campus with other patients just like you, and go to campus from 8am-3pm and then go back to the apartments, go shopping or go to meetings, etc, and you have a life, free to leave if you want. I was there for a while, but I needed to be, and that was my choice. The staff is amazing, all the psychiatrists, counselors and family therapists are licensed and have worked in the field for years. There are also people who work there that are in recovery that are living examples of how to do it. This May I celebrated 10 years of sobriety, of life free from drugs and alcohol, and a life filled with hope and promise. Talbott showed me how to do it, but I had to do the work. I had an amazing, life-changing experience there. Rehab is not for everyone, but for those who think they are ready, this place is one of the best.

Talbott only cared about the corporate backed addict; not the family. No understanding of codependence, manipulation, or control. As the spouse of an addict in tx, I felt like no one cared about the family dynamic.

As someone who had been to a treatment facility before, when in need of similar services again, I found myself in a position of indifference and intolerance to the therapeutic value of treatment centers as a whole. Coming to TRC because of the experience of a previous alum, my best case attitude was to, "grin and bear it". To my surprise, I was met with staff that were as knowledgeable as they were empathetic. Their ability to recognize an individuals needs, help determine an appropriate course of action, and then help you implement that solution, without a doubt saved my life.

I would give TRC five starts in a minute, but I've been waiting 4.5 months for a partial refund of a prepaid fee for my daughter's treatment. The amount is over $20,000, and because I don't have the money, I'm unable to afford other treatment for my daughter. Wonderful people, very helpful, but the corporate office doesn't seem to care.

Horrible, mismanaged and extremely poorly organized money hungry greedy corporation. The CEO has no clue or leadership skills and can recite 3 words for every question wash your hands . BEWARE they do not check with insurance until they ve roped you in and then tell you how much you will have to pay out of of pocket. They love to wait to tell you this especially when your insurance is out of network. They will do anything to force you stay longer to milk you out of your last dime even knowing your life depends on it.

I learned a long time ago, when I was only two years sober, but there's nothing we can get overpriced, profit-seeking, bloodsucking rehab like TRC that you can't get from just going to AA. I mean, Talbot is owned by UHS, a fortune 500 company! And they will guilt trip you into it draining your bank account. They will talk you into taking a loan. They will tell you that you cannot put a price tag on your life. This is a classic example of what has become the most profit-seeking and greed-driven industries in American. Talbot has led the way for the recovery Industry to become the most profitable sector of the economy in the United States today! Talbot Recovery Campus makes Philip Morris, Exon/Mobile and Walmart look like a small mom-and-pop family restaurant. I just hope people out they realize that recovery doesn't have to cost you anything - even if you don't have health insurance (btw Talbot doesn't even take insurance).

Went here for an assessment. Incredibly unorganized and no one seemed to know the schedule or structure. Was billed an additional $500 on top of quoted price of $3000, which i paid while there. I still haven t gotten my report from 3 weeks ago The nurse that did the hair and nail testing scolded me for having gel nails, then hacked way more hair than necessary, from three places, close behind both my ears so I can t even put my hair in a ponytail without looking like a toddler got a hold of my hair or I was victim of some abuse or bad prank. They could do a lot better!

Addendum: I ve asked for all my records to be sent, not just the final report, which didn t include all my labs and data from collaterals. I was led to believe all of this information would be available to me. I feel I was gravely mislead and am very disappointed

Saying that Talbott saved my life is an understate...

Saying that Talbott saved my life is an understatement. It has given me a new sober life and brought me my family back. I came to Talbott on November 3, 2016 and was a MESS. I hated myself and everyone around. Angry had become my middle name. I had lost everything multiple times to crystal meth and heroin including being in and out of prison for a long time and losing all contact with my two boys. I had serious behavior problems once the substances were gone. I was given a safe, safe place to learn how to live again. I learned how to deal with my anger and hurt and set boundaries with people. I have learned to love myself and just be okay. Today I am in Talbott's Transitional Living and it's been an awesome experience. The structure and monitoring has been just what I needed today. After 12 years, I am back in college and making great grades. I would have never been able to get this opportunity if it wasn't for Talbott and my family. Talbott has given me support, love, care, and guidance that I have never gotten in my life. I've learned that if I don't use today, I'm not going to get high today. THIS IS A 24 HOUR PROGRAM. Everything else falls into place.

Everyone of the staff has been there for me in some type of way. Such a positive and helpful vibe about the place. Lots of smiling faces!!

Talbott is one of the best places in the country. I have helped create and advise drug courts. There are few other recovery centers with such dedicated and knowledgeable staff. One of the problems addicts/alcoholics have is they simply don't like to follow the rules. They justify their addiction(s) by blaming others. Talbott allows its patients to finally grow up. There is no "inexpensive" recovery program. Those who complain about cost don't get it: how much money was spent, wasted or lost when using? I have referred many people to Talbott over the years. Any "failures" were the individual's, not Talbott's. It is a wonderful place. It's a leader in treatment.

Make sure you check with your insurance first because Talbotts WILL tell you to show up, that you are being admitted and then claim it costs $3-$5,000 out of pocket before calling tour insurance. My insurance and the location I went to said that is false and my deductible was only $300. I left my medication there and to get it, I had to email them a prepaid $30 ups label to get them back. After I sent the label, I was told all my medication had been destroyed. Now I have no medication and I m out $30. Terribly run.
