Service was poor, took them more then 5 minutes to even ask me what I wanted to drink, then my tacos were cold. The food wasn't worth the price.

We have always enjoyed our visits here. The staff were great. Chips and dips appetizer good. We all enjoyed our meals but for the octopus dish.
I am a great fan of octopus, however this dish did not live up to the normal standards we have always had here. Still, it was a great evening.

The menu is simple, just a few choices but tasty. The portions are big enough for sharing if you are not that hungry. If take out get ready to an almost 20mins line up.

this place is legend great atmosphere stuff are excellent sharming &greeting very unique west cost mexican experience love it.

Tacofino used to have the best burritos in the city. Since their latest menu change, they are now very mediocre. Not exactly bad, but very plain and not particularly tasty.

Their chorizo tacos are just simply out of this world!
Their margaritas are also amazing. I would recommend making a reservation if you don't want to wait for a table.

Oh wow! Tacofino, you are my new favourite Mexican. I cannot believe I didn t come here sooner. I went to La Casita first for churros but as we didn t know for sure when another table would open up, my friend and I came to Tacofino. Boy are we glad we made the switch - the churros here are not the stick kind but they taste delicious nonetheless. They taste better than any other churro I ve had in Van, even better than La Churreria s on Homer St before it closed down. Steak tacos were delicious too.

Great tacos. Can recommend the fish taco and eggplant taco. Worth the wait which is sometimes a little long.

Food for delivery is an order of magnitude worse than eat-in, which is saying a lot since we've never experienced an order at this restaurant that didn't have an error. Downgraded!

I have eaten in the restaurant twice - both times were excellent. Tacos were really delicious with complex flavours and reasonable size. However experienced the take away burritos last night for the first time - we ordered a chicken and achorizo. Both had hardly any meat at all and was mostly just filler - really disappointing for the $12 each price tag!

Such great food, such great decor/interior design! Service was friendly and quick and the prices were very reasonable, at around $6 per taco, which was quite big and enough for me. I ordered nachos and a vegetable scrape taco. The guac and tomato cashew dip were both very good, the chickpea one was less popular in our group. I would definitely recommend Tacofino to anyone looking for a casual yummy meal in a great location.

Great food, but mostly impressed with the service. I ordered 11 burritos for a lunch meeting, but one of the burritos didn't make it in the bag. When I called back and asked if they could get the burrito to me, Megan walked all the way to the convention center to hand-deliver the missing burrito!! Old-world service, new-world taste. Thank you Megan!!

This is a really nice Tacofino in downtown Vancouver. There's a grab & go counter, dining room and bar and outdoor patio area. The tacos are tasty! I had the buttermilk chicken and fish taco. They are a decent size, two tacos was perfect for lunch. The staff and service was very good they're a friendly bunch!

This place was insanely busy on a Friday night, 1h+ wait for a table. Instead we to the Burrito Bar and got burritos to go. The burritos were tasteless and extremely disappointing.

This place has the best tacos LITERALLY EVER. I crave tacofino tacos on a daily basis.

The food was great. I had the fish burrito. It was really good but the burrito fell apart as soon as I ate it.

This location is much better than the Yaletown location. The food tastes good and they have pretty decent table service. The fish tacos were definitely the highlight, although be warned the chipotle mayor sauce is a little spicy!

Portions are somewhat small but the drink menu is quite extensive with a lot of variety

Love this little whole in the wall. Although there tacos are not very authentic to Mexican tacos, they are very good and their portions are fair. I would say they are a bit pricy, but it s also in downtown Vancouver so it makes sense. The waiters could be a little bit arrogant at times but not always. If you are planning to sit and eat inside the restaurant during peak hour, be ready to wait 45 min or so for a table.
The tacos are juicy but their limes are not. Also a FYI I noticed they used flour tortillas and not corn tortillas for some tacos. I ordered the octopus tostada it was so cold that I couldn t eat it because the octopus was like a bullet in my mouth not what I expected for $11

Closest burrito in Vancouver that you can get to anything from California. Wouldn't call it authentic Mexican food (i dont think that's their idea either) but it's great overall.

This place was absolutely phenomenal!! Only 1 star off because I have had better queso fundido. However, everything else, including the pitchers of margaritas, the tacos and the service were all outstanding. Would return and recommend!

We went there today around 2pm. The place was not crazy busy with over 6 tables open, we we asked for a seat thay wanted us too sit at the bar. When I asked for the table they stated that table is for groups 3+ lol never got a chance to eat,we just left. Find it funny. I will not go back there as they alredy told me they don t want my business.

Excellent selection of beers. Excellent tacos. I definitely recommend the chicken wings. We grabbed a plate of those and I gotta say, they are life changing! The nachos are a great choice too. You won't be disappointed.

Found the food becoming so-so nowadays. Yes, I have high expectations for cheap eats. Beverages were okay, but there are better bars in town. Prepare to line up for around 20-30 minutes during meal time. Music was pretty loud and almost lost my voice from having an awesome conversation.

Place was okay for a quick bite. Tacos were overly loaded that every time I took a bite everything would fall out the other end. Definitely need a fork, to get all the stuff that falls out.

Fish taco was good...but what a mess to eat.

The best tacos in Vancouver. We went recently and all COVID precautions were taken. Menus were QR code and socially distancing was in effect.

We had the pork gringas, fish tacos, steak tacos, chicken tacos and chicken wings. The chicken wings were so delicious - not sure what they bread it with but it was superb. All other tacos were excellent except the steak in the steak taco was a bit chewy for my liking.

Overall, an excellent taco experience and would recommend trying this location if you re in the neighbourhood.

I never ordered guac, but, when I returned from the bathrooms, it was there and my friend was enjoying it. Never mind that I never saw the same waitress again to address it. Never mind that I tipped her far too well because I was sociable and a little tipsy.

I am a huge fan of Tacofino, and love the place on Nanaimo Hastings, so I thought I'd try out the Gastown location. Once I got there with my girlfriend, I was disappointed. Waited an hour for our food, and the staff were extremely rude. Our server, which was a girl with dark brown hair, had a permanent scowl on her face it seemed; she just looked like she was not enjoying her job at all. Not once did she smile, and upon handing our drinks, she spilled water on my menu and lap, and didn't even apologize. The food was mediocre, but wasn't bad. Half way into our meal we waved over our server to order some more drinks and she rolled her eyes and said "I'll see what I can do." I don't think I'll be coming back to this location anymore, I'm really disappointed. Overall our experience was terrible. Will be at the Nanaimo Hastings location only for now on.

Tacofino has a unique taste. I found the tacos and burritos tasty but I had friends who didn't like them as much. That said, the Chicken Burrito was really good.

Great selection of really delicious tacos. Menu is designed to let you choose a couple of different tacos in one sitting. Also a nice selection of local beers.

Nachos were enormous and delicious. Tacos were one of the best I've ever had. The steak taco is my favourite item on the menu. The environment is also great. However, it takes quite a while for the food to arrive.

The food on site is very good but quite expensive for the quantities served. The takeaway burritos are cheaper and excellent.

I don't have high expectations. Food is delicious, service is ok, but the portions are pathetic. Especially for the price. Damn... I was let down.

I really don't understand how this place has such high reviews. When I got a "Walking Taco", they served me a pile of Fritos with crappy ground beef and cheese on top. Seriously? Passing off Fritos as a"taco"? It was one of the most disgusting things that I've tried to eat for a long time.

Absolutely delicious tacos. They definitely don't skimp on the chicken!
