Great outdoor space. Decent Happy Hour $ menu with a number of tapas options. Traditional Spanish tapas. Though busy during HH, can usually find no wait if wanting to have dinner with no reservation.

Alabardero provided the Folklife Festival meals. I tried their Sukalki for$12, and, sadly, I was disappointed. The short rib stew had very little meat and too many potato chunks. Seasoning was minimal. If this is typical fare, you won't fine dining at the restaurant.

As a Spaniard this place is legit with professional staff who speak Castilian and serve authentic tapas. The decor is so wonderfully oldschool Spain and this is the default place to cheer on the Spanish national team during the World Cup. My only gripe is the price -- this is all really basic Spanish bar food and it's priced like a full entree. But you're paying for a slice of Spain to be transplanted 6000 km over the ocean so you get what you pay for.

I attended a wine dinner that was poor. The soup was not flavored well and was only lukewarm. Other courses were served at tepid temperatures, with far too long between courses, and not well seasoned. I've had family meals there that were good, but would never go again for a group event.

If you want a Paella and either its 1 person or only one person wants it go elsewhere. Restaurant is stupid. They list it as 36 for a Paella but you HAVE TO order 2 and the price goes up. What's the point of being a Latin restaurant if you have to pay a ridiculous price for a Paella for 2? Only one page then of choices for one person. Ended up leaving and walking to another Latin restaurant that won't be ridiculous.

Delightful. Tasty. Sumptuous. We chose the restaurant week menu. Three Tapas, Paella, and Deserts. Each dish proved to be a stand-alone delight. The bread at the start is exceptional. Then, the Gambas Al Alijo, simmering hot with the garlic, the patatas bravas well done(could have used a bit more sauce) and the peppers filled with goat cheese, to add a hint of sweetness. To top it -- the Paella Valenciana!! rabbit and chicken morsels tossed in with charred artichokes, blending the sauce and rice to satiate your senses. And then, triple desert in the form of a gelatinous tiramisu, a rice puddingish type confection, and the last one I can't remember as it went down in a gulp!!

If you want class...wonderful food and want to feel like your stepping back in time or want to feel like your in a movie...THEN COME HERE AND ENJOY!!. We had many items but if you want the best mussels in the world and the best old fashioned Spanish bread oh, you will not regret it. Impeccable service ask for Antonio!! Cant stress the service enough. This is what fine dining used to be like. Came here for lunch came back the same day for dinner. Wished I lived in Washington would be one of my favorites!!

I loved the place from start to finish. Their menu is full of authentic Spanish delicacies and not the usual unauthentic dishes you could have anywhere else. We went for the tasting menu ($50) and the gazpacho was full of fresh tomatoes; the dorada was really well baked and the strawberries were excellent. I was even able to enjoy a real cafe con leche descafeinado!!!

I loved this Restaurant, it was recommended to me by a friend who is Galician and without a doubt excellent, I was recently in the Week of Restaurant Week and you paid half of what it costs on a normal day, excellent service, excellent food, I suggest the squid At the outset, the Valencian paella very rich. The prices here I leave:
Lunch: Choice of two Tapas, one Paella and one Dessert $ 22
Dinner: Choice of three Tapas, one Paella and One Dessert $ 35
The cheapest bottle of wine at $ 24 and the most expensive at $ 38

I ordered Paella de Langosta. I dont know whether this is because of covid making their business slow so they just wanted to get rid of old food or what but if I could give 0 stars for the review I would. I wanted to like the food but obviously the lobster was not fresh and I wasnt going to take any chance eating anything else in he box. The only thing eatable was the bread. The rice didnt look like yellow rice (not in person) it was greasy and mushy. In the pic it look yellow but it is not. The lobster was so mushy it crumbled in my hand when I tried to pull the tail out of the shell. The claw was so mushy it didnt come out in one piece. It just was not eatable. Eat at your own risk. They did however, give me my money back but I just had to let people know about this. I love paella but this was not a hit.

Very expensive tapas restaurant. They even charge for bread! Service was okay but not overly attentive. I went with a friend for happy hour so I can't speak for the main entrees but the appetizer tapas were okay.

Good

Delicious Spanish menu in DC.

Delicious Spanish menu in DC.
Some waiters are not friendly and sound like they are not willing to serve.
Manager is very kind and helpful.
Staff generally need more customer care training.
Other than that food is fantastic.

Nice place, I ordered black rice, the rice was good but the shrimp was cold inside, like it was precooked and added to the rice but didn't warm up completely. Service was great while the restaurant was almost empty, but it got crowded around 7pm when the flamenco band showed up and we had to wait almost 35min to get the check and pay. Dessert was OK, one dessert was a souffle, and as a compliment they sent a small chocolate balls while we waited, but the waiter didn't mention it was a compliment and my daughter and i had a good laugh at the smallest and weirdest souffle we'd seen. We had to ask another waiter and he asked in the kitchen and came back with the explanation. The wine recommendation was great.
