I went in on the recommendation of a friend, and I was thrilled with the experience! What a great group! The instructors took their time, were patient and very encouraging. The other students were fully engrossed in what we were doing, and they were also very helpful and encouraging. If your looking for the real deal, this is it!
I met Chris about 4 years ago as he was teaching in a law enforcement academy capacity. He teaches techniques that are effective not only in the mat room, but also on the streets. The thing that sets Chris apart from other instructors is his knowledge and expertise far exceeds that of others. Take a look at his social media platforms for an idea of the level of training you will receive with him. He has trained with some of the best fighters in the world. If you are a beginner, don t be intimidated. His effective communication and professionalism makes you feel very comfortable and will translate into quick learning.

TAG Muay Thai has been terrific for our daughter - not just the physical skills that she's learning, but also the confidence that she's gaining. Kru Chris is very knowledgeable and has a ton of experience, but he's also very positive and affirming and is great for the students with whom he works. When I first came to T.A.G. Muay Thai, I had no previous martial arts experience. However, I was welcomed from the moment I walked in and never felt like I was a burden. I really like that that I was taken aside and given one-on-one time with a coach to learn basics instead of just being thrown into the class and expected to learn the more complex drills right away. Everyone there is really friendly and you can tell they really enjoy working there. Some of the best training I have ever been apart of. Unfortunately I had to move away, and have not experienced the exponential growth of the gym to other locations. Some of my favorite memories came from cramming 15-20 ppl inside of the 2 car garage gym to train with some of the best in America, if not the world. Kru Chris comes from a great lineage, and his no nonsense style of coaching is great for those who are serious about training. TAG has several different programs for all levels from kids to adults.

I went to train at T.A.G. Mauy Thai with having zero background in Muay Thai. The trainers here are very knowledgeable and can teach anyone like myself the concept of Muay Thai. The environment is laid back, with plenty of instructors where it is a one on one lesson at times. Chris Aboy took time to help me with this training class who is very knowledgeable, professional and passionate about this sport.

Wonderful learning experience at TAG muay Thai. Kru Chris and his instructors made everyone feel welcome and respected no matter their age, gender or experience. We had teens training with 40 somethings when I attended and everyone felt safe to practise and grow in their skills. Have been taking classes with Kru Chris for about a month at the UFC Gym. Being new to partner work (previously just did bag work), I was pretty nervous about "interacting" with other people. Chris really does an amazing job of going over basics/technique to make sure that everyone is comfortable, knowledgeable, and ready to kick butt. Highly recommend Chris and TAG!
Just started doing Muay Thai and martial arts in general. My daughter and I enjoyed our class with Kru Chris. He is knowledgeable and works with some high profile athletes from different fighting championships. Easy to work with and I'm excited to learn and improve. My son and daughter have both trained at TAG, starting at age 4 and 6, respectively. It s been a great experience. I appreciate the focus on teaching pragmatic skills and techniques. The instructor cadre for the kids program is outstanding, well-suited for working with kids as young as four up through teenagers.

Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as practical applications to his program. The curriculum is well structured and great for young kids as well as adults. TAG is the premier Thai boxing school in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Rarely do I give five stars.
