One of the best institute on the basis of infrastructure, facilities and teaching standards. The faculties are friendly, supporting and encouraging. Decent labs, workshops and hostel. The cleanliness and maintenance of campus, hostel and mess are noteworthy. Well-set Sewage treatment plants. Beautiful location and campus. Good inter-disciplinary elective options. No nuisance of ragging and bullying.

SIT is one of the best place to study in Pune. Great campus with all the facilities. Faculties are also very helpful. College have nice placements to offer and the best thing about college they allow industry exposure of 6 months to get the glimpse of corporate culture

Reaserch Facilities for the field of mechanical (CAE and Manufacturing) is really good.

Engineering Staff is friendly and helpful. Campus is very huge, containing all the necessary facilities for students, including gym, basketball court, swimming pool, tennis court, table tennis, football ground, etc.

Nice place to study for those who couldn't crack jee. Placements are fair enough , though CS IT students usually get the preference. You will enjoy your 4 years here

Faculty of mech is worst. Faculty will fail you purposely if you are an average student. You will regert if you choose mech in SIT. And placement is hardly 5 %.
**There are internal malicious activities played by teachers of mechanical department in this college. No good support by teachers towards students and especially in the final semester 4th year students are being failed purposely. Please take review from students studying in college they will provide the same review for the games played by this college.
Am regerting already for taking admission in this college. I repeat don't do not take admission for mech. I just saved 4 years of your life. And take this thing seriously...

Decent enough for the level of education. Pretty new college as compared to other deemed universities. Hence, takes time for them to completely establish and prove themselves. Good level of infrastructure. Most of the faculty is above par. Far better than what other local colleges provide.

Don't take admission or just waste four years of your life

Its been a year and I feel like its heaven on Earth.

So good. Yeah some students were bad but it is just good.

I am an ex-student of this college.It is worst college but the quality of mechanical engineering has deteriorated due to inefficiency and lack of support to students of some professors and good professors have left the college and also Placement(7-10%) is also very poor for mechanical department and no is least bothered. PLEASE DONT TAKE ADMISSSION IN MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT YOU WILL REGRET FOR LIFE.

Great clg nice environment situated at beautiful location

A relatively new Engineering college which is slowly climbing up the rankings. The campus is top notch with brilliant recreational facilities, though there is nothing much to do around. Having said that, Pune city is just a 15km drive away and is waiting to be explored. It's a beautiful campus in an idyllic setting, And trust me it gets even better in the monsoon! The college lab facilities are pretty good with all the necessary software/ hardware readily available. The hostel, mess and other recreational facilities are also well maintained. They have a pretty decent Gym as well if that interests you.
Symbiosis Institute of Technology is one of the few universities which has one entire semester dedicated to Industrial training/Internships and Semester exchange programs.This really makes SIT stand out compared to other Engineering colleges.Along with your Engineering degree you can also earn a Post Graduation Diploma in Business Management from the prestigious Symbiosis Institute of Business Management.
There is always room for improvement and Symbiosis Institute of Technology is no exception. Academics and the grading system could use some improvement but it's still better than most of the colleges around. Being an Autonomous Institution, the syllabus is up to date with a lot of electives to offer. The Department heads and the faculty take great care to keep the syllabus Industry oriented. There are different seminars and workshops conducted throughout the year where you can participate and improve your profile (I got my Six Sigma Green belt that way.) The faculty is very friendly and approachable. Most of the teachers have empirical knowledge which really helps students grow interest in the subject. There are some teachers who will make you lose interest in a particular subject but hey, that's the case in every other university.
Now coming to the crowd and the campus life. You'll find all kinds of people here from Geeks to Musicians. Expect to have a lot of fun once you meet the right people. And trust me the party scene is way better than most of the colleges around. 'Reveb' The annual techno cultural festival isn't that great, Nothing to boost about.
The most important factor while choosing any Engineering College is the Campus placements. Being a relatively new college the Placements don't do justice to the Symbiosis brand but by no means they are bad. There are a lot of companies coming to SIT like Amazon, Nvidia, IBM, HDFC, Rakuten to name a few. If you are a CS/IT student then you have a plethora of opportunities provided that you are smart enough to land a job :P The same cannot be said for the students of other Departments. Almost everyone lands a job eventually but the job may not be of your liking and may not be in the field you are interested in. The average package offered is somewhere around 3.5 LPA and the maximum goes up to 22 LPA (International). These are some rough figures. For exact stats visit the college website. I wouldn't call it a bang for the buck considering the exorbitant fees you pay for the four academic years. (~ 10 Lakhs)
Overall a good Engineering college which you won't regret coming to. The college will help you grow not only Academically but also Intellectually. Consider it if you want to have a healthy balance between academics and extra curricular activities. If not you always have the IITs (No offence) :p

It is just another money making machine for SIU, they are least bothered about improving the quality of education being imparted. They are neither ready to invest in improving the infrastructure nor in getting quality faculty to the college. SIT had some very knowledgeable faculty members in its initial years but that too has gone for a toss just like the other factors since the change of leadership. This college has no vision or mission.

I recommend not joining it !

I wont comment about faculty or teaching because everyone s perception is different.

One thing that is common for all is that the college offers zero jobs for Civil , Mechanical & E&TC . Please dont believe the previous year statistics. ALL FAKE.
2015-19 batch , Zero placement in civil , Zero placement in mechanical. Those who got placed got into a marketing company.

Campus is beautiful. Faculty Is fabulous. Glad I chose the college over Pune University colleges.

Great infrastructure. The college is surrounded by lush greenery. It is situated far away from the city which reduces the connectivity. The campus provides the students with all facilities. They have a separate play and recreational area for the students who stay in the hostel. The hostel is inside the campus and the hostel students have a separate mess. The college has a huge campus and all branches are available.

The college is relatively new and keeping that in mind it is doing really well. It is getting better every year. The campus is beautiful. The internship program and semester exchange program is something that many other colleges lack which gives an edge to SIT.

Placements : The placements of the college are average. The placements are good only for few branches like CS and IT department. It is average for the rest of the departments. The students get internships based on their present backlogs else almost everyone gets internships. We get high packages once we get placed although getting placed is actually hard work to do. Also, college keeps us too much occupied in things like journals and unnecessary activities. Due to all of these, we find less time for studies, and that leads to bad academic results. Therefore, the placements are poor.
Infrastructure : The Wi-Fi facility provided by the college is not good. The labs and classrooms are good and spacious. The library is also okay, but sometimes there is an unavailability of books. The medical facilities are not quite good. Our college is good in the field of sports and games. The facilities are provided, but management is bad. There is a too much communication gap between the management and staff members. The hostel rooms are good as we live in 3 sharing rooms with attached bathroom. So the hostel life and hostel facilities are fine. The canteen is the worst. It's equal to non-existent.
Faculty : Teachers of the college are good, but not all teachers are helpful. Some teach well, but some does not teach at all. Regarding giving marks, some are in favour of giving marks to students, but most of them are never in favour of giving marks. We got an industrial visit opportunity, but it was not that good as it was just like a small school picnic. The teaching is done using PPTs and online study materials. We have an online Google classroom where all the notes are uploaded.
Other : The college organises tech fest and cultural fest which are organised well. It has a very huge crowd. The programs are well organised. There is no such thing as scholarship here. So studying is expensive here. The extracurricular activities are also there, but due to that we generally lack attendance which is a must in this college.

The crowd and campus is arguably the best for an engineering college in Pune; pleasant weather and lush greenery in the campus makes it perfect for a good and healthy college life.

Most preferred institution among the foreigner students.

This college is only for computer science and IT students, mechanical, civil, E&TC placements are less compared to cs and IT field.. transportation and accommodation is a major issue here.. Travel time is more as it is located outside of city... Fee is too high more than 2.15 lakhs.
