CHILDREN'S WONDERLAND IS ALWAYS A CHRISTMAS TREAT FOR PEYTON & ME!!!
IT'S TRADITION!!! IT'S FUN!! MANY OF THE DECORATIONS ARE 60 YEARS OLD & USED TO BE ON DISPLAY AT MACY'S/LASALLE'S DOWNTOWN DURING THE 50'S. SO MANY ARE STILL IN WORKING ORDER. WE STOOD IN LINE FOR 20 MINUTES TO GET A PIC WITH SANTA!! SHE REALLY WANTED TO DO IT!! GREAT EVENING & LOTS OF PEOPLE! (THEY WOULDN'T LET ME RIDE THE TRAIN! THEY SAID THEY HAVE ISSUES WITH ADULTS!!! IT IS PRETTY CONFINING, SO I IMAGINE SOMEONE GOT STUCK!!!! I'VE RIDDEN THAT TRAIN FOR OVER 50 YEARS!!! YIKES! I'M SO SAD!!!)

Lacrosse, hockey, soccer, basketball, can all be done here plus other things. Nicest arena in the area hands down. Ice is great and locker rooms are nice.

Good ice, safety protocols in place during this pandemic. Well done.

Everything there is run down need a face lifting. No control over the young or old kids. Parents let them run free. Too scary this day and age.

Good place to watch hockey good food good beers and decent prices

The only place I take my family to go ice skating. It is hit or miss on friendliness of service, as the kids that man the place rotate quite frequently. Expect a long line for free skate if you come just on time. Come early or a little late to avoid the rush at the register.

Visited shipshawnia on the road it was nice. I would not let that fat lady from pamperd chef set up again, she was a $itch very, very rude

Good food. Service was fair at best this visit. Everyone was over attentive to the UT mens basketball team showing up at any time that there were many patrons that were being neglected. We were one of them but overheard several tables complaining about it.

We came to the center for the Shipshawana event. The center was beautiful; however, the event was lacking the uniqueness of actually being in Shipshawana.

They make you pay for hockey games and don't turn on the heat that they have available

Lots of activity. No food or drink available except pizza.

It was almost colder inside than outside and the air from ice skating will get you freezing you fast, make sure you bundle up.

Played pickleball here tonight. The last game was thrilling, made incredible shots, brought home the 12-10 victory; so very happy with Tam- -Shanter.

Children's Wonderland was really nice!! Our individuals enjoyed it!

I love this rink! My friends and I go every single weekend and weekdays in the summer. We love to go ice skating there and it s a great place to have a fun family time. You don t need to know how to skate in order to have fun. Definitely recommend!!

The restrooms were filthy to say the least. I guess since it's owned by the city of Sylvania their employees aren't paid enough to keep up on the rest rooms.

This is a good facility, especially for its age.
Be prepared though - the rinks are COLD. Colder than they need to be. It wouldn't hurt to turn the heaters on over the stands.
The bar above the TAS rink is sweet and a good place to keep eyes on the game while sipping on a frosty adult beverage and enjoying a pretty tasty meal.

It was a great place for a child's BIRTHDAY party.... They had a riot on the ice!!!

This place all sorts of amazing activities for kids. From Cheerleading to hockey to open ice skating. I recommend this place to all parents who want to put their kids in a great program ran by great people.

This review is for pro shop. The do not put their hours on the website, they tell you to call the number. When I called the number they said they were open the following day 10am to 8pm. I drove out and they were closed, so its inconvenient trying to get information.

Great venue. Concessions are great, couple of dining options, nice pro shop, and having been to many rec centers, this is one of the best in the area.

Went for Children's Wonderland.... was great, the kids loved it, not as big as when it was @ the Rec center but was still awesome

Its an alright place for the most part, but every time I go for open skate there are always a ton of teenage girls just standing still on the ice in groups on their phones and/or talking just getting in everyone's way and creating a huge inconvenience especially when it's packed. The website is also terrible, and it seems like they never clean up the ice for open skating and leave the ice really choppy.

Winter Wonderland was worth it, my 14 month old loved everything about it even though he was too young to ride the train or do some of the activities in the back. I will definitely say I will never go for their Santa again, for a few bucks more Fallen Timbers is 1000xs better and schedules private times.

The kids and I went ice skating during the open skate. We had a lot fun.... falls and all. I laughed so much and so did they. The ice is really rough so you need sharp blades to do well cutting through all the rough ridges. The rental skates leave much to be desired. Over all, the skates, rough ice and falls only added to the fun!! I would definitely go again.

I have never had a negative experience at Tam-O-Shanter. Great place, great food and great family fun! The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. They keep the entire building clean and ready at all times. To be honest, you wouldn't find a better place for family fun in the Toledo Area than Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter!

TURN ON THE HEATERS!!!!!! I paid to get in.....why can't you turn on the heat?

Personally trying to ice skate at a local rink sounds like a good idea if you could actually be able to get information on rink times! For 3 solid days I couldn't get anyone to help me with a few simple questions. I called multiple lines and left a few messages with nothing in return. I managed to get ahold of the pro shop and the worker didn't seem to give a care in the world or even help to find someone who could help(12/27/2020
7:50 pm). I'm never dedicating my time for a business who could care less!

We have been going to Children's wonderland for years. Many of the displays have been upgraded. They added a craft area and the train ride is free. Don't forget to see Santa while you are here.

We come every year for Children's Wonderland. This time, I came for a craft show. The staff were friendly and the shopping space was clean. Only negative about that back room is that it is either way to cold or way too hot and stuffy, there is no happy medium.

There is two skating rinks with plenty of seating , sport shop , snack bar , and pizza made to order shop, plenty of parking.

Fun place to go ice skating! The downside is that the skates are really old and falling apart. I think they are the same skates that they have been renting since I was a kid in the 80s. Time for an update to better skates.

Rental skates were worn out. Ice was rough. No Music playing. Good for hockey practicing kids. Youngsters working the counter were a bit rude. No walkers on the ice for beginners.

Good food and Pro Shop. But, the concessions isn't open late at night. They don't give the girls enough ice time even though my team last year won a banner.

It's pretty cool that there is a rink for the little tikes to skate in. People are very friendly and follow the rules with the covid-19 rules. That's great.

The gym for basketball is good. So is the turf field and other thing there I highly recommend coming you will have a great time

My son took a 2-year break from hockey. We got back today! Love it! I also noticed they updated the Wi-Fi, it actually works now! Which is great because the building is a cellular dead zone.

It is a great place for kids to learn to play hockey.

We really love going to children s Wonderland every year here they do a wonderful job. All the staff is very friendly and we love the extra activities they have to offer. The set up is gorgeous and not crowded. We loved having her picture taken with Santa and even getting ice cream this year. When I was a child one of my fondest memories was going to children s Wonderland and I m glad to be able to make the same memories with my own children. We also appreciate the location of tamo And the parking it was very easy to park close to the door which makes all the difference when you re walking through the cold of small children.
