I moved out of state and I was back for a visit. I was not disappointed.I ordered the steak &my friend ordered the steak tips.Both were cooked exactly the way we wanted &were delicious. The vegetables were also cooked perfectly,not too raw & not overcooked( mushy ) . I would highly recommend this restaurant. Waitress was also efficient &friendly.I had a very pleasant experience.

They have my all-time favorite beer so I really can't complain. They're the only ones who will sell a 22 oz glass of 9 ABV Kentucky Bourbon barrel beer. so if you have a designated driver it's absolutely fantastic. Their steaks are great as well as the burgers.

Wife and I were very frequent visitors..we really enjoyed it there..haven't been in about 6 months..and honestly may be longer before we return...stale hard bread...salad looked and tasted as if been left in refrigerator for a week..welted..dry...apps overcooked..then find they went way up on the amount of points and down on reward points..guessing have new manager,quality gone done considerably. .never do these surveys, but I would love for SSG to be back to its former self..

Food and service are always great, but the noise level is ridiculous.
Wide menu of American fare. All quality at good prices. It can be crowded but it fits a lot of people in there. The bar area is decent too.

The Sylvan st grille has a very large menu so it will take some time to go through it all. There are options for almost everyone and the way the food is prepped I think you can make simple substitutions with no problem. We opted for the fajitas and were pleased with the results. Prices were decent, service prompt and engaged and dessert was good as well.
Got the turkey burger that has a fried egg on it. It was really good! Our waitress was really nice, and checked on us often. We got the creme brulee for dessert. It was good, but cold. I thought part of it was supposd to be warm. It was tasty either way. They have a vast selection of draft beer too.

After 9pm, half price appetizers are a good deal. The food is good and just a bit above average cost. Atmosphere looks like it should be a nice restaurant, but it has more of a dive bar feel.
Food and Service was good. Don't like the fact you cant have private events Friday or Saturday night.... Other than that great place.
Love their steak tips. the veggies on the side are always cooked perfectly and their mashed potatoes are so buttery and infused with garlic and flavor!! Great nachos and fried mac n cheese balls! My son LOVES their "mackin" (mac n cheese) as he likes to call it and always eats their broccoli. Sara-Beth was our server last time we went in and she was sooo considerate, sweet, kind, and attentive to our every need! Excellent service.

Our waitress sarabeth was udderly ridiculous. She asked us the same question over and over, she didnt bring our drinks for over a half hour, we legit were half way through our nachos before we got the BEER AND WATER WE ORDERED WHEN WE SAT..we ordered water as soon as we sat so we could make our 9 months old bottle since we were traveling from lower cape back to VT...we had to ask a bus lady after our son started screaming...never checked on our meal, my husband ordered SP fries and got onion rings and french fries...half and half...she legit kept telling us to give our son beer because she thought it was funny and was what he wanted. I waited a half hour for my check AFTER my husband took our son outside to the car....oh and the best part? This was our year wedding anniversary. Thanks Sylvan. Maybe yall should drug test? I'm pro canna and this was no stoner mistake. Oh ya the food would of been great if I had a drink with my nachos that had jalapeno...and would of been even better if she asked how our food was so she could bring us the right food.
Food was okay, but service was little to none. My server was terrible. They started off good but later went downhill. I had to practically yell across the room to get my check. They really didn't pay attention. They didn't even ask if I need a refill on my beer. It was just sad. It is in a convenient location so I was hoping it would be good. really dissatisfied:(
Service, Environment, and Food are pretty much always the same. Rarely, am I ever upset or overly impressed. I'd recommend it.
Not a huge selection, on the expensive side, waitress attentive to the one person drinking alcohol, but the rest of us had to wait for drink refills, trying to catch her on the way by.
One of the best experiences I've had in a very long time. The waitress was amazing. The food was unbelievable. Wish this was in Missouri.

Had lunch with a friend and we both had the bunless burgers cooked medium that came with a small Caesar salad. We both got home and were sick. My friend called to suggest they check their stock. The response was we will and thanks..... how about we are so sorry and let us make it up to you? Wow! Horrible service!!!

The Sylvan Street Grille is an old-school comfort food type of place. The service is excellent, the bar's a little loud, but it definitely has a local flavor and feels like you're in your hometown, among your friends when you eat there. I'd rate the srvice an A and the food a B+

The menu here is more than you can hope for. I was surprised at how many things are offered. It gets a little noisy when they are busy and can be difficult to hear the other people in your group. Food and wait staff were great, my portion was more than I could eat. Our waitress was very efficient and helpful. Great choice for American fare to appeal to a large group.
Had the family Xmas party in one of the function rooms this year. Approx 40 of us. Everything was excellent, and all had a great time. Waitstaff excellent, good food, and a nice set-up for the party. Thanks to all involved!
I mean it's pretty decent, but either new england clam chowder isn't actually great, or this place doesn't make it right. And the asparagus I got was the chewiest asparagus I've ever eaten. The rest of the food was good, with a special shout out to the mash, which was excellent. Service was nice.

The service was excellent. Our server was attentive and didn't keep us waiting for anything, including the bill. The menu has plenty of options to choose from, satisfying the most pickiest of eaters. The portions were generous in my opinion and the food was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The building is large and you don't feel crowded. The place was packed and surprisingly not overwhelmingly loud making it a comfortable atmosphere. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Could have died from the meal I got, waiter was very rude and I told a different waiter to just look at my steak cause I asked for medium... It was a completely raw steak..

Much better than it used to be! Steak salad and most sandwiches are great. Prices are reasonable.
