I love this place. I can enjoy working out with out stress and anxiety knowing that they have fully trained staff there willing to help me out. They are a bit pricey in the members frees but I don't mine paying a higher fee if you are getting value and trained staff to help. It's also a nice place to chill out over a coffee with family and friends. The swimming pool is great when there not having squad retraining groups on.

This is a gym where future elite athletes train. I used the weight, dietitian, boxing gym, indoor soccer court Their staff are technical experts. All i can say, "if you want to be an elite athlete, this is where you should be training." The downside is that the membership is comparably expensive and parking is very hard to find.

Complete with a swimming complex, a comprehensive group fitness timetable with lovely / charismatic instructors, and lovely staff. This gym has also recently undergone a comprehensive renovation and incidentally expanded to nearly twice the size! Best gym in the greater Sydney area by far!!

Also being involved with SUSF (Sydney University Sports & Fitness) grants you access to various other fitness-related groups such as rowing groups, rock climbing groups, jogging groups, sporting groups, and a whole variety of other kinds of groups.

Some really don't know what is "respect".

Some really don't know what is "respect".
Who can't distinguish "Kendo" and "Canoe"?
Even though I explained the joining fee of Canoe, he just ignored it and keep saying it's 300 dollars.
What a rude reseptionist, focus on what customer says please^^

Excellent GYM

Excellent GYM
Compared with other gyms, this one are much friendly with the customer due to the majority of clients are students from USYD.
You can use the whole gym during the busy time with a slime and nice chatting.

I just want to bring your attention and hope Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness can have right person in the position.

I was graduated Sydney Uni ages ago but I met one of staff who called Shane is a shame of Sydney University and Sydney Uni Sport&Fitness tonight/05/04/2019 because he even cannot speak "Please" in English and said "get out" when I am going to toilet. I have asked him to correct his language but he rejected and performing more aggressively.

I assume he is a rascist and Sydney Uni Sport&Fitness should be aware of this person and employ the right person who can provide a better service in the local community.

The website states the pool is open until 10pm and 8pm on Saturdays. This is technically true, however after a certain time (7:30pm?) much of the pool is cordoned off for water polo. It would be useful to put this information on the website, as it is a waste of time to check the website opening hours, drive to the pool and then be informed the 50m pool is not open for 50m lap swimming (as you can only swim sideways across one quarter of the pool during these times).

After this happened the first time, I rang tonight and asked if the pool was open for lap swimming. I was informed it was. No mention was made of the fact that only 1/4 of the pool would be available until I specifically asked if water polo was on tonight.

My poor review is based on poor communication to the public, but the pool itself is excellent.

Facilities are good and well maintained, but for the price you pay, it doesn't seem to be very good value, as you need to buy SUSF yearly membership before you can buy the gym membership. The gym also can get very busy and closes at a early time (compared to other gyms).

This gym has good facilities but the receptionists are terrible. A few of them can at times be verbally abusive or just rude. They are also cut-throat with memberships and you paying your fee.

Really well built building to workout, do sports, swimming, etc. I love the kind staffs here and the facilities, not mention their strategic location in Usyd. The real problem with this gym for me is the price and their plans. I hope as the Usyd students I can go to the gym free, or at least cheaply, but that's not the case for this one. It was expensive, but still for me it's still worth my money, even though if they cut their price maybe I will keep stay in here.

Fantastic gym and group fitness. Imagine being able to surf the internet whilst you are on the treadmill. Has about 6 TVs in their group fitness area, plus on nearly every cardio machine. One of the downsides is that at the moment the 5kg weights in the group fitness classes are difficult to use to do some moves in Body Pump as they are so bulky. Hopefully they fix this

Good reno, way more equipment now compared to when we were students 15 years back. Selection of equipment isn't very informed though, it's as if there was no consultation with the actual users prior to procuring.

This is a really good Sports and Aquatic Centre has a 50 m heated pool, gymnasium, volleyball courts, basketball courts, squash courts, outdoor tennis courts, overall really good facilities. Also has a cafe so you can get a meal or drinks. Really friendly staff easy to get to parking out front. The gym has just undergone a fairly significant expansion with lots of new equipment also has RPM spin classes.

Rented badminton court for 2 hrs here for the first time. Me and my friend were really excited and everything turned upside down.
The court was full of stickers which make it hard to see the boundary lines. The ceiling was full of many objects that distract our eyes. The worst part is that there is a wind. Come on, who will setup a badminton court without any wind barrier. The room was full of wind and we couldnt even play seriously for a single minute.
But what make it worst is the hospitality from the counter. It was the manager and a lady. I asked him nicely if they could close a roller shutter that was open (we assume that the wind is coming from that side). They told us there is no ventilation right there and the door couldnt be close because it was broken.
I was alright at that time, but the way they said it, they just ignore me as soon as they finish the talk. I told them, then we would like to have a refund, they said they couldnt do it. Then ive had enough so I asked for a compliment. The manager kept telling me, i cant changed the wind, its beyond my control . I was like yes of course! Who cant changed the wind?? I was just asking for a complimentary service. He kept telling me i cant control the wind.
I was left without any solution and we left 20 minutes early cos everyone had had enough with wasting their time in the court (We tried to play and enjoy but it was no good)

Due to all respect, the service is was really bad, they dont even care for a single bit. Ive played in quite a number of courts in sydney, and this is the WORST ever. If you want to play badminton, i would recommend other places.

Probably 30 students paid for casual basketball, but I didn t be told we can only play one hour. Each of us are waiting for the Monday 3-6pm to play basketball together. And then, the staff refuse to return our money back. I don t care about the money, the point is they ruined my day.

Great facilities and wrestling club for kids is amazing!!!
My one gripe is with the cafe. I can go there at 5.30 sometimes 6pm one week and get a coffee And then the following week it can be 4.30 and they have already closed the machine down and start packing up. I get that sometimes I can t get my coffee at 6pm but 4.30 is too early to shut up shop. Frustrating!

The following feedback is specific to the Swim Sch...

The following feedback is specific to the Swim School. Please read on as I hope this review will inform future students of the swim school to consider.

I am a current student in their swim school. I go for evening lessons once a week after work. Unfortunately on Tuesday 21 March 2017, there was extreme thunderstorms that striked Sydney. Commuters heading home in the rush hour were all affected. Trees uprooted, road accidents, flash floods, train stations shut - the roads were chaos. Google it and you will see numerous articles and videos of taht evening. A journey to the school that would normally take me 30 min took me 1h 15 min. I made multiple calls to the school throughout my journey to tell them I was stuck on the road literally in gridlock and they told me to email to reschedule. I took their instruction and emailed the school.

Unfortunately the reponses I have received from them is very upsetting. They wrote back saying that they can only reschedule if I gave 72 hours notice or provide a med certificate. Otherwise I have to pay to reschedule. I replied saying that there is absolutely no way to foresee or predict that the extreme weather is going to cause widespread havoc that evening. I can't anticipate the train stations shutting down, flooding on streets and numerous car accidents. What I asked for was decency in considering that the abovementioned was out of my control. I did everything possible to call the school and even got my friend who was already in the school to let them know.

They further responded saying that i didn't give them "enough warning" and without the 72hr notice, they couldn't offer my place to someone else who needs a makeup lesson (aka they lose $19.50). 72hr notice for the effects of weather that I can't predict?! I would if I could! What baffles me is that the policy accepts medical certificates if someone fall sick that day, but not other unforeseen uncontrollable act's of God. Makes me wonder if we'll be treated similarly should a student met other unforeseen circumstances or last minute emergencies.

I must emphasise, the issue here is not about the $5 rescheduling fee but the principle behind it. I am disappointed as this swim school is part of (and representative of) the prestigious and world renowned Education institution, University of Sydney, that endeavours to produce successful students and NOT intimidate them to succumb to the centre's "Profit&Loss" driven goals. Shame.

There is only cold water in bathrooms. I caught a cold from it, and when I asked to delay my lesson in swimming school because of their fault , they declined. I think they are not customer and visitors friendly. That is bad.

Rude staff Swimming school

Rude staff Swimming school

I lost 2 classes waiting for the staff to move me to the next level classes.

As they never contacted me, I sent emails asking what was going on and they replies always after 3 to 5 days were "we have too many emails". Then I called to the swimming pool and the person on the phone literally didn't have any idea of nothing (no even when the term ends) and giving me as solution "send an email".

Finally after 3 weeks I was booked on my next class and I tried to fix my lost classes with the person on the desk but it was totally unhelpful and rude. Blaming me for not going myself to the pool and just get into a random class with no booking or confirmation and almost telling me to "go away" at the end of the conversation.

I'll never come back to this place.
