Such an amazing travel company. They did an amazing tour for us to Arsenal and Nicaragua. Their guides are full of knowledge and can answer all of your questions. We had Gil and Jose, both were amazing. I highly recommend booking with them. They will do their best to go over an beyond.

While staying at Weston resort we booked two tours with Swiss Travel. Our travel counselor, Jose Soto, was very helpfull. We did a morning mangrove boat tour and our guide, Juan Carlos, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and helpfully. Juan Carlos convinced us to book the tour to see turtles laying eggs on the beach. Both these tours were very interesting and well run. We would highly recommend them.

As we arrived to Costa Rica, our tour guide Frander and driver Ledder was waiting there with a sign with my name. They were very nice & full of information. We made a stop to a local store which was cool. On our last day, I confirmed with a representative (Maria) of the time of pick up and hotel location. She confirmed. As the time approached for pick up(12:10), we waited and waited. No one ever showed up. About 45 minutes later, I emailed Maria about our shuttle back to the hotel and she said they came and waited until 12:22pm. That was a lie because we were there at 12:12pm. Even the hotel staff said they didn t see a shuttle pull up. She emailed me back and said to take a taxi and she would refund the money back to us. Appreciated that but I just felt like had I not emailed her, she wasn t going to contact the resort or email me. I didn t appreciate the lack of communication because I am a tourist in your country. Long story short, I spoke to the other people that were in the shuttle once we got back to NYC and they confirmed that the shuttle never went to our resort.

We had an amazing day(January 2018) on our private tour with our guide Ulises and our driver Edwardo .Our driver safely got us to our destination then back to our hotel. We found both of them to be very reliable,caring and trustworthy .Ulises was so know legible about his culture and beautiful country, with a genuine compassion for the animals and exotic birds that we absolutely loved. We visited the rain forest, took a boat ride, had a fabulous lunch ,everything was organic and delicious, then ended the day at the hot springs . We had a fabulous time, would highly recommend Ulises for your tour guide ! Bob& Janet

The best Tour operator, extensive experience and excellent fleet

Quite expensive and not exactly as described by tour guide / salesperson at Planet Hollywood. We did the Pure Adrenaline Tour. Be prepared to change buses, not leave or arrive back on time. Tubing on Rio Negro was outstanding. Lunch was so-so and we brought our own bottled water and avoided anything uncooked. Zip lining was at a warp speed (9 lines in 30 mins).

AVOID Swiss Travel, they don't really care about your safety.

On November 6, 2017, my family of four were on a mega-combo tour with Swiss Travel which I booked while staying at The Westin in Gunacaste. On our return back to the hotel, they put the four of us in a different van with a different driver. The driver was speeding (about 75-80 mph) and driving unsafely. The driver didn't seem to notice that he was driving at about 75-80 mph directly into the back of a stopped car. My husband yelled "lookout" and by the grace of God, the driver swerved into the opposite lane to try to avoid hitting the car and luckily the oncoming car in that lane swerved to give us enough room to escape what would have been a life-threatening accident. The driver did not slow down, even though I requested he drive slower and safer (he did not speak English but we didn't know that). The rest of the 45 minute ride back to our hotel was harrowing.

I reported this immediately when we returned to the hotel. They put the driver on suspension. We were just so happy to be ALIVE, we weren't thinking of anything else.

I have had nightmares for days now. This is not right - Swiss Travel should have offered to refund the cost of our excursion given what we went through. At first I was glad we were all ALIVE and I wasn't thinking beyond that. I was glad that Swiss Travel put the driver on suspension and took the incident seriously. I didn't ask for a refund at that time. After two sleepless nights picturing what we went through, I decided that it was an insult that Swiss Travel did not offer to refund the price I paid for the tour $488.00.

The hotel supervisor has passed my information on to Swiss Travel more than twice now but Swiss Travel has not responded in any way. This is not right - it was an insult that Swiss Travel did not offer any refund or compensation considering what we went through. As of November 17, 2016 I have not yet heard from Vienny or his Supervisor at Swiss Travel about reversing the charges for the traumatic car driver incident that happened.

Swiss Travel should have done the right thing - but they did not. They never even responded. This is an insult.

I would not want anyone to go through the harrowing experience we went through - and then be treated so poorly by Swiss Travel.

Swiss travel was the local partner of Air Canada Vacations, who we booked our vacation with. When we met the representative at the resort she was very friendly and stated over and over how she was here to help families and cared about families. She warned us repeatedly about how we should not use other tour companies as they could not be trusted. I decided to go ahead and book an excursion for the next day with Swiss Travel, along with another family we where traveling with

Later that night and into the next day my two daughters started feeling ill and spent the night in the washroom with vomiting and intestinal distress. So, we did not go on the tour and had the other family let swiss travel know we could not make it.

By mid morning Swiss travel had the resort people track me down to have me call them. I called the representative who advised me that I would need to pay $144 US cancellation fee. No where in all her 'trust me, I work for families' speech was information on cancellation fees. No where did she ask why we did not make the tour. She did not ask how my children where feeling when I told her we did not make it due to illness. She did not ask if they needed anything (like medical assistance!). There was no help or empathy of any kind.

I understand that tour companies likely get a number of cancellations and have to have some sort of a policy, but what really upset me was the lack of giving a ;$*( about people when that is your business. We where at the beginning of our vacation and I fully intended to book more excursions. She did not offer to reduce the cancellation fee if we booked another excursion. Did not ask me if I wanted to reschedule. She told me to meet her at the front desk at 11 am with my credit card to pay, took my money and left!

After that day, my girls were much better and we proceeded book and take tours with the onsite tour company Tico Tours who where fantastic. We where able to book things at the last minute with no problems (at better rates than Swiss Travel), the staff were very understanding and helpful, made suggestions for what we might like and I'm happy to have spent my money with them rather than Swiss!

Booked a trip and needed to cancel one hour later. We wanted to use the money on another day but the agency refused to accommodate . They charged us 20% fee for the cancellation .
I understand that's their policy but there should be a reasonability test that these people don't understand. The Westin should get another agency . Everyone stay away from this agency and book elsewhere

Utilized this group for transport to/from the Airport/Resort. Also booked a couple of excursions through them. VERY helpful and accommodating.

Our guide (Francisco/Frank) on the Arenal Rainforest Hike and Hot Springs excursion was awesome :)

Very disappointed with our day trip.
Spent $825.00 US dollars for 5 people to ride in a suv for over 8 hours to see
a coffee factory not a plantation,
A pottery shop that had a free show sign posted in front of it !
And a 30 minute river cruise.The cruise was nice.We saw crocodiles and birds.
When I told Diego that we were disappointed he said
Than next time you should should buy your tour from the guys on the beach.

We Did !! And we had a much better time.

I went on two excursions and my tour guide Edwardo was excellent. When I visit again I will use the same company for my excursion tour

Salesman at Westin made lots of broken promises about events. Since we booked 5 events for our group of 12, he gave some discounts. However, once on tour we we're harrassed about unpaid additional costs. Avoid this company!

Had an amazing time on our tours. We went on two tours and they were both amazing. The tour guides are knowledgeable and very nice. Fluent in spanish and English and most are from the area so they knew all the great spots
Lunch was also included on the tour and it was very good!

This company is great at fitting knowledge with your experience. Our guide Allen left no question unanswered. The company's lucky to have him. That being said they seem to have good knowledge of their surroundings so you're sure to have a good experience.

Do Not Use This Travel Agency! This is a warning as they don t care if you get injured and in fact you are in the same hands with out an agency all together with them. I took a tour with this agency yesterday and was injured due to the negligence of the park as well as our tour guide. As a result I was given no medical care at the facility nor was I given any sort of compensation of the tour back. I don t recommend tour agencies that only drive you to the facility and then you re on your own. Try to work with agencies that actually care about your safety and have proper first aid kit s on hand. I basically got hurt because the instructor told me to please my hand in the wrong spot and everybody agreed the fault was on them but the only person that was harmed financially and physically was me. I will never use this company again I don t like working with companies I don t care about the people that they re providing the service for especially when they take no responsibility for their wrongdoing. I m grateful that I was staying at the W Hotel where they provided me proper health assistance for my injury 24 seven.

Spent the day in Nicaragua via Swiss travel. The tour was amazing and education. Our tour guides Jose and Gustavo were the best part of the trip! Well worth the money!

We highly recommend the Sensoria Tour and ask for guides Gio and Joaquin. This was one of the most informative excursions and these two fellows made it a five star. The price was a little steep at $420 CDN for two but worth it.

We did 2 excursions through the Swiss Tours agent at our hotel Occidental Grand Papagayo (Evelyn)She helped us decide between several tours based on her knowledge and advice.We did the river cruise 1/2 day and the long,but worth it Arenal volcano tour.We had Sebastian and then Walter.Both were very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about Costa Rica .They went out of their way to show us rare wildlife and made these day trips something we would never forget.Worth every American penny!I must say it is a well run ,organized company with excellent and committed employees.Thank you Walter for a day unlike any other.I loved this country and its people...
